Bro WHAT.. casually pumping out 390W intervals at 1.4 lactate, then going out and running a 15 min 5k 😅 cannot comprehend this level of athleticism, big things for Magnus this year!
And after that 5k another two 16 min 5k´s
trying to wrap my head around 330w being zone 2 lol
Well, he might be using a 3-zones system in which Z2 is basically LT1
No. 1.5 molto/L of lactate actually means that is a Z2 in a 6zones scale
@@franciszekkasperek2604 no its not a 3 zone system, its just crazy.
Right! It is so insane.
to be fair he did the second rep at 370W with the exact same 1.5mmol lactate response, so his 2mmol/Z2 ceiling may even be a bit higher still :)
My guy's so fit, he consumes half the oxygen in Denmark.
😱😅
Truly a man of the people: ripping Tempus Fugit over and over and over.
I didn't know Superman was still alive...and living with his MOM! Those training numbers - my mind is BLOWN. And what a very nice young man. I am incredibly impressed. And if anyone needs perspective on this, go to your local gym and get on a stationary or recumbent bike, see how long you can sustain 330+ watts. Good luck.
Imagine doing a flat, chill ride on Tempus Fugit and Magnus comes flying by at 500+ watts, lol
So fortunate to have videos like this that give you the fly on the wall insight into these pros. Live the emphasis on recovery between sessions and all the little bits of knowledge shared
26:35 I thought Magnus downed a glass of white wine at first 😂 I had to go back and check out the carton then learnt it was elderflower juice haha
The BEST i have seen in a looong time on any athlete.
Please do more athletes from PRO field.
I hope PTO and IM is learning from this.
THANK YOU ❤
100% agree! This kind of content would be GOLD.
I'm a runner so I don't know biking numbers or metrics, but from the looks of the comments he's insane. Just looking at these running times after a bike workout like that is wild. This guy is a beast
bc it probably /defiently didnt actually happen / course was short....
@@againstdrivingdrunk614 whatever makes you feel better
1: im guessing im better TRI than you.... 2. if you know running you don't even second guess that wasnt 15:05 ... @@Zooga_Boy
@@againstdrivingdrunk614I don't understand why you're commenting your negative allegations below every single comment. Of course, anyone can do anything on video but at least on the run, you're eyesight must be off. I measured the clip from 20:38 to 20:57 on Google Maps (Freemasons' Hall in Copenhagen) to be around 104m which would result in a 3:03 km (very late into the interval since he finishes the interval around 300m later in front of the hospital). Of course it's no exact measure with video and google maps but it's definitely not "you don't even second guess that wasn't 15:05". Mind you, he's 1,95m tall which always makes running look slow.
So please, mind your own business instead of telling others that they didn't know running.
I don't know what impresses me the most: That he produces these monster numbers or the fact that he's so humble about it?
Mega fedt at få et indblik i jeres tunge weekender Magnus og Kasper - i gør det begge super godt!
video editing produced the 15 road 5k...
The numbers are totally shocking 🤯🤯
yea, they are a mockery to TRI bc they are wrong running numbers.... still high level impressive but those guys are not doing those numbers... @@laurynai
past generations of TRI were 1. Swim heavy 2. too much only volume 3. facebook pictures at races... now its more impressive than yoou guys even can understand of.... so you guys are a mockery too it... asshole summary
Thanks a lot for the insides and the small included portrait of Magnus. Even if the concept was of course very different, this video is MUCH MUCH BETTER than the T-100 one (sorry to them). Magus is a giant in triathlon and its says a lot about him to show his manner of doing the pure everyday work, without any airs and graces. One of his strengths is to stay with himself - and his kind of 'no show attitude'. No doubt that this leads to further greatest possibilities in triathlon. And with these numbers the 2024 season can come! All the best for it - and thanks for sharing!
wtf, these numbers are absolutely crazy...
to be fair he is the best cyclist in the entire sport by a pretty healthy margin, god tier
Also he's a pretty big guy @@ucfnathan

These bike numbers are absolutely insane 🤯
Yes the bike numbers are insane, but: 15:05 5k as (part of!) a brick run afterwards, holy moly
Damn Bro @@okimy3668
they just seem like it bc its low elevation on a stationary/comp input... 330 spikes 280 avg would be more road... but its pretty impressive cycling that TRI has nowadays...
Does he have a good chance to win kona??
Sweat Elite, thanks for bringing the quality content!!!
Dude is a monster
Words like “Monster” “Animal” etc are overused. He’s not just a phenom. He’s smart, articulate and there is method to this Herculean training. Serious guy. Happy to see him win PTO series or Kona. If his swim continues to improve and he can trot out a 2:40 Marathon with his bike he can get up to Laidlow… interesting video. Thanks for putting it together.
I’ll do my first Ironman this October in Croatia and I’ve just watched two days of training and nutrition and tips from the record holder. This is awesome movie!
Just reached an FTP of 340, cannot comprehend that being zone 2. He's on a whole new level.
I’ve always been curious about triathlon and the amazing accomplishments these athletes achieved. Never watched it though. T100 Miami happens to be Live on CZcams right now. There’s a good chance I would have stopped watching after 10-15mins or so, if I didn’t watch this sweat elite video and learn about Ditlev and the T100 series and that he was going to be in it. Took a break from watching to let you know I’m invested now and thanks to sweat elite. The importance of making these athletes (listen world athletics) recognizable and approachable.
Great honest questions!!!
Getting to understand Pro’s is something i am interested in.
Great video, insightful and motivating, what an athlete!
This guy could contend as a world tour TT specialist.
awesome video - I hope Magnus has a great season racing to his phenomenal potential!
Thx from Germany 🙏🏼👍🏼
Man like Magnus, interesting to see all that! Best of luck for Miami.
Great insights as always, keep up the good work!
good luck for this season
Am I dump or is a lactate of 1,1 while running INSANE??
exactly what I was thinking
No that is indeed insane 😂
Absolutely unreal insight 👏
Magnus is awesome
Amazing content! I will not complain if triathlon content dominates sweat elite :)
Great video. Thanks!!!
Thank you very much Magnus and Sweat Elite for this great video ! Loved It !
Thank you really much for the share!!
These numbers are up around mid-pack Tour rider level. The sport of triathlon has progressed so massively in the past few years. Awesome to see.
Skulling a full glass of box wine after a day like that seems the right thing to do
its not wine its a danish drink called hyldeblomst saft
I thought the same, I was super impressed by his numbers, how humble he is, helping make dinner after an intense day like that… but downing a glass of white wine was the most impressive part! BOSH!! 😅 …until I realised it’s elderflower juice haha
yess tri content, mind boggling numbers
what a beast.
you are such a beast. its mind boggling. its a joy to just watch you train. sports is really the greatest.
Wow, what a beast on the bike!!! Just wow wow wow!!!
The statistics on this are insane. What a beast.
Insane watt numbers on the bike. 500 is way beyond 99% of athletes can ever achieve. I wonder what VO2 max he has. It has to be way over 80. If you look at the other Zwift drivers they are just blown away😅.
Incredible guy.
This was a super interesting video to watch. Great detail about his training etc. Must be one of the fittest athletes on the planet. Thanks.
Magnus is a stud! Sweat Elite is undefeated in content.
This is mind-blowing, 15 minute running intervals, just banging out a 5k every time.
Genial ! 🔥
What an absolute freak of nature...380W at 143 HR straight into a 3min/km pace. I will go and cry somewhere.
the fact that he is overtaking bikes on the run after that Bike session ist just hilarious
Magnus, you are the real deal so impressed. Enjoy your journey this season.
Very fun watch and love following your journey. Might think of investing in an external mic. Will make videos so much better. Good luck this upcoming season.
I'm liking this before I watch
When you can call 355W steady! 👿 *MAGDIESEL*
Much better than the pto Video! We Want to know the pro
Just insane...the guy smashes a two hour brutal bike session and runs 15K in 47 mins right after wtf
Such an amazing guy Magnus is. Best of luck for him.
This guy is a machine.
He such a down to earth guy! Also insane numbers, good lord 😱 500w sprints, and 330 Z2
500w isnt a sprint, it‘s a supra threshold interval (z5) and lasted 5mins. Sprints aren‘t longer than 30s
Scary good!!
a 15min 5k after that bike workout is crazy
Very cool. Where is the basement? Near Magnus's house? Who were the other athletes? Cheers. Ross.
What a Beast! I would love to know how other PROs feel/think watching this. Surely they are shitting their pants??? Those numbers must be big amongst pros.
1.1 mmol at 16min 5k. it's amazing to see what's possible.
Despite the crazy numbers, I found even more impressed to go for a run completed sweated in cold weather! 😅
never seen a triathlete running so nice...almost like a professional runner....
Very cool
Big legs man!!
well, he won the PTO Miami Open few days ago.
All the best for your season, Magnus! Greets from Berlin/Germany🙋♂️
What do you have stuck on your legs when training? Crazy numbers on that bike workout 😅
If somebody wants to know, the record magnus set is:
46mins 47sec 3.8km swim,
3h 57mins 180km bike,
2h 37min 42km run.
One after another, pure madness.
To run marathon in that time is elite world level, to do that after 180km bike and swim of almost 4km, out of this world.
Kristian Blummenfelt is faster
I love the video and I am very glad of the great content and insights but get magnus a proper microphone please!
I will never complain that my pool is crowded. I don't think I can swim with more than another person in my lane. Too intimidating for me to keep the pace as a beginner
The 1.1 mmol reading after fast brick 5k seems like a bad reading, no? Bad readings often go to 1.1 and the temperature you measure at is below the supported range for lactate pro 2
You’d want to be elite as a runner not to have a lactate near 2 at least from a 5k at threshold for sure, has to be wrong
lets stop for a sec and look closer to the numbers: 506w for 5min to attack, then 425w for 5 min and then 20min at 355 steady
easy🙈😅 - (its💥!)
OMG what was that? o:)o:) I'm so tired only waching this weekend of Magnus training...
Is there a way to watch Ironman online in Canada??
makes it look so easy 500 watts on the bike
8:19
😂 I saw that reference
I just wonder with all due respect if Magnus or some of his competitors are currently 100% natural. If so is very veryyyy impressive. Larms amstrong said on a podcast that his ftp on those time was about 500w and we all know what “those times” means. I would like to know what other people think, let me know guys !
There are no naturals at these levels - are you for real?
Magnus you look to be in amazing shape. I sure hope you carry all this into the Miami race and get the result you want. With this type of training performance it’s hard to imagine who can beat you, but that’s why you race. The numbers are truly outstanding and your run form looks very smooth. Stay healthy and I’m very interested to follow your races in 2024 and beyond.
Great video, even better athlete. Good luck in Miami!
His competitors have to see this… They are all going to poop there pants 🚴💨🔥🫡
scary
Jesus. Depending on his swim form, no one will beat him on a good day
How can you even achieve 500 watts….holy moly.
Uhhhhhmmmm his bike power numbers are REDONKOLUS
What are the devices taped to his thigh that he rides and run with? (See it 7:30 into the video)
I also wanted to know what that smart devices are and did some research. As far as i know now, it is something like the keenbrace or in this study it is called a NIRS (near-infrared spectroscopy) sensor which monitors your form and compare the balance and strength of every engaged muscle. Hope that helps ;-)
its called a moxy monitor and looks at oxygen levels in the working muscles i believe
Yeah it’s a Moxy, testing o2 levels in Muscles.
zone 2 330W
Yo
music is unpleasant. Especially when camera fails to focus all the time. Just keep it clean and show the guy raw
what kind of a workout is the 5k bonanza supposed to be? 5k reps? Just insane what this guy is doing
Is there any other triathlete that can bike even close to him??
@@emf6621that was a ton climbing ... on the flat nobody can follow Magnus
We'll see in Kona I guess. It's gonna be epic ( i'm not counting t100 races).
@@zikaperic2133well we do not race only on flats so Sam is more versatile biker

Thanx for sharing, I now know what do (as a 60 years old wannabe 🙂)
Not just a brilliant athlete but an annoyingly nice guy too 😂
Is there a reason why he wears the Alpha fly 1's?
mic the guy up next time!
400w while casually adjusting the sleeve of his suit. That brick workout was just silly to watch.
Warming up at 330W lol
how the fuck its warming up at 4,1 w/kg 🤣🤣
Hmm i thought another magnus (magnus ditlev) beat kristians ironman world record 😅
Good video but you should innvest into better audio, buy some mics
