- Emma Webber, the mother of Barnaby Webber - who died in a stabbing attack in Nottingham, has written an emotional letter to the members of a police WhatsApp group.
A police officer described the students stabbed to death in Nottingham last summer as 'proper butchered' and said officers 'tried to hold their inners in'.

How is this journalist still working, she is terrible
Her crazy eyes are flickering like a one arm bandit
I see disgust and disbbelief in the whatsapp messages not barbarism... Theyre literally processing what they were seeing since what the STABBER did was barbaric!
No they glorified it.
@@melgrant7404 how so?
@@simonthegreat543they didn't have to say things that made the mother of the victim feel sick.
"i smelll ...." , 😐
@@melgrant7404 they didn’t intentionally. They had a discussion amongst themselves about what THEY dealt with.
Got to rememnber this woman lost her son to a monster who simply got a hospital order and will probs be back on the streets in no time, shes angry and lashing out at the state who allowed this nd these officers are getting the brunt of that unfortunately
> will probs be back on the streets in no time
Nope.
She doesn't look angry. She keeps smiling at the camera.
This woman is evil
Excuses once again.this type of thing has happened before.
There is nothing traumatising or disrespectful. The woman is cry bullying the police who are not responsible for her son's tragic death
Police see allsorts every day. If the boy was butchered - another word for cut up - then whats the problem? They literally described what they saw..
I dont get the massive outrage
Honestly was that all that was said???
@@garymccallum667 No.
People on here playing it down.all the messages haven't been seen.
The messages were barbaric, not the savage murderer eh?
Goes without saying,..This is about plod again,..Blue line gang hitting new lows,...
So blame the victims for English men's behaviour 😊
Don't look back in anger (at the stabber) but never forgive the cops for writing "hurty" words.
@@fredmercury1314 Lets hope a close relative of yours does not have similar demise and plod chat amongst themselves about the details,..
@@fredmercury1314 Tell that to Emma Webber wont u?
The message states the victims were butchered. In no way did it celebrate it. They were. This was a private message. How is it worse than the murder?
Was glorified.
Even the Police are entitled to Freedom of speech and privacy, anybody accessing whatsapp messages in a closed group( which is encrypted) has no right to complain if they don’t like the wording!
@@chrisharris4825bollocks, police like doctors aren’t allowed to discuss their work
@@georgejoy7635 How do they ever solve cases or give orders then? Wow! Telepathy, perhaps?
Of course they can discuss their work. Provided that they adhere to the rules regarding data protection. I work for the NHS and we will anonoymise a case so we can discuss with peers for feedback and support etc.
This is a really bad path to go down for society.
Been happening for years.
How much is kay burley a horrible cow.
"How much Is the fish" Scooter 🙂👏👏👏🇩🇪
I used to think her demeanor was her being professional but no shes just COLD.
Such an eloquent woman
In sorry for her loss. But this is just going to far.
By exposing bad behaviour.
@@melgrant7404 it isn't bad behaviour. If it were it would have been reported to the IOPC. private whatsapp messages about a shocking incident which do not denigrate the victims are not something that should trouble anyone . In my view, there is nothing to see hear. Unfortunately the family are allowing their grief to override their objectivity. That is understandable. But their feelings do not override the objective reality.
saying someone has been butchered is a explanation for the scene that the officer saw! I don't think its barbaric. obviously this lady is struggling with her lose but come on.
Other things were said.
@@melgrant7404 like what?
@@boxychubbo6922 look them up.
@@boxychubbo6922 look it up.
Did somebody actually say the messages were as barbaric as the murders? That's about the stupidest thing I've ever heard. First Responders, hospital staff etc they have to be able to say what they want and sometimes they use gallows humor or they just speak frankly
Sorry the guy who did the crime was barbaric. The WhatsApp group was intended to be private. I don’t think that anyone has the right to snoop into private messages and out them and then complain about them.
Stop defending vile behaviour.if the messages weren't vile then there would be no complaints.
Like Niio Natzies
@@melgrant7404 if private messages weren't made public there'd be no issue! Some of us actually have principles and aren't guided by emotion.
OK officer Couzens
@CR-og5ho yeah private.they thought they got away with it.
By the location of this lady's broadcast, the family may be London based. If this is the case the Met Police on behalf of Nottinghamshire Police would have engaged a trained Family Liaision Officer to handle personally all matters of communication and update. The intention being to keep the victims family fully in the picture. What has happened here god only knows. Very poor indeed for the victims of such a brutal crime. This is Nottjnghamshires fault entirely. Police officers should never use social media in such an unauthorised way.
People are as sensitive as snowflakes nowadays.
Savage police message, not the savage that should not be here.
Police and their childish group chat messages. Not the first time youll hear about them making fun of victims or discussing crime scenes and it wont be the last. I imagine care workers and hospital staff do this kind of invasion of privacy rubbish too in group chats
Cannot believe this woman is still on here
Which woman?
@@eileenboles8645 Kay
@@ksmax6310 I cant either but shes not on here shes on Sky.
@@eileenboles8645 ok pedant - they clearly mean on Sky's YT channel!
@@jonnybingham1 Im not. U re best friends?
Didn't fancy posting your dismal excuse of a reporter getting owned by Tommy yesterday eh sky 😂
Such a strong woman. How devastating! This is happening too much now.
Police need to stop getting harassed for saying things wrong. Their job isn't to be eloquent. The intent and actual meaning of the message was not inappropriate as far as I can tell. If anything these officers probably need support after dealing with situations like this.
Stop defending vile behaviour.no excuses.people generally get counciling after trauma not this.
Police UK . 🙂👏👏👏🇬🇧
They should probably stay of social media and have private conversations.
The police are ideological fanatics whose political beliefs come before anything else true or false. They shouldn't get any positive support for situations there own ideological beliefs have created. They all should be very very very ashamed of themselves.
@@melgrant7404 So tell us, what exactly was "vile"? And don't go "the mother was hurt", a proper reasoning please.
2:08 Yeah, she seems really upset about these messages with that wry little smile.
Happy to take MI5 money
Rubbish.
@@melgrant7404 Fact.
Cope.
@@fredmercury1314 don't have to .
Troll.
Why is she laughing? Why is not condemning the murderer? I would be incandescent with rage..not calm and conversational, as if I was at a boardroom meeting sipping a latte and using big words to seem intelligent and professional..
They aren't traumatised by a message. They just sniff a tidy little payout.
Don't project your own logic onto everyone else.
Shut it
Sky becoming the new sun
God pls save good people 😮
They have nothing to apologise for 🤷♂️
Somebody needs to stop WhatsApp.
If TikTok is destroying the youth, look at WhatsApp is doing to workers.
Or this is just humans being human and we should not make rules that stop us being human. Like did these police have to attend this horrific scene and then instead of taking time off or leaving with ptsd sent a few messages.
Exactly. Sky trying to make a story out or nothing to get some people sacked.
Nothing wrong with WhatsApp it's the people that use it.
Why is too much to expect some kind of standards?
☕
😅sky news what a joke
Obviously these Wapp's weren't for public/civvy consumption & I'm sure cop's humour is similar to military dark humour simply as a coping mechanism.
Although I've no clue other than 1yt comment??
It's a culture not a coping mechanism. Of course they were private messages considering the content.
They got found out.

The police being absolute scumbags as usual.
The messages were vile
Traumatised by WhatsApp messages 😐
It's what was said obviously.
@@melgrant7404 was it really?? 😲😧😱 maybe I was repeating it because those words in that order are pathetic and sad
Truly disgraceful behaviour by a so called professional body. Is this the level that our police officers now operate at? They should be named, shamed and dismissed from the service.
Sacked
Ikr truly horrific!!! I don’t think I’ll ever emotionally recover after seeing these messages…. 😢😢
