As a gay man of 68, my life has been more like "trading innocence for company as Sir Cliff put it”, I never did have a love that one could light a candle to. By my late 30s it was to late, as for the past 30 odd years I have been severely disable with many issues that just deteriorated more and more as time slipped away, now I spend my life alone, living in a wheelchair, determined to keep my independence to the last. The last couple of years have been a bit bad - major heart attack needing stents, followed by a diagnosis of emphysema and COPD and then for Christmas 2022 I was diagnosed with inoperable cancer. Calum is one beautiful human, with an angelic voice and a message of hope and he has healed my soul! I am on the end of the runway now, engines are running and I am ready to RISE, you have taken my fear away. Keep going strong matey.

My healthy 36 year old husband was killed by hospital protocol and left me with three little kids, 3, 7, and 11. Once I found this song, it has become my anthem. I listen to it daily, all the time. It keeps me going and gives me the reminder I need. The Holy Spirit is ALL OVER this song. 💖🙌💖

I lost my beloved wife and mother of our children in late 2022 on extremely fast growing lung cancer and in her pocket clanedar I later found a cryptic short note "Scott Rise Video" with the last word double underlined and I googled and found this song which I dird'n know before. She wrote this only some weeks bevore she passed away and OMG: I must weep buckets every time I watch the video and listen to this absolutely phantastic masterpiece of music! It's so powerful and is fits so exactly on my present situation and the strenght of my lost love!

I watched this and it brought back emotions, tears as in 2019 while on vacation I had a severe brain bleed in Florida on vacation with my wife. The lady in wheel chair , IV Bags being taken out side to the free AIR, was similar to me, 10 days Nero ICU, but I made it, I raised and lived. As a Canadian Veteran with PTSD from 27.5 years of Service, I say NEVER GIVE UP . Amazing song.

Now look now, I'm crying. I'm a teacher. The year after the worst of Covid in South Africa, was tough. When the lyric video of this came out in October 2021 my Grade 3's used to sing it every morning. I still know all the words, but somehow I've never seen the music video. Goosebumps all the way. The part where the mom disappears into the air just hits different. It scratches open my heart and makes it bleed; and suddenly I'm remembering every little child who lost their mom, dad, a grandparent... And every parent who lost their child.

So, I lost my Mother 2 years ago (2020) she was my best friend and was always there for me. I took care of dad for the last 2 years since she's been gone and I lost him on January 9th 2022. My mom sent me the link to this video today. I have heard the song before but I have never sat down and actualy listened to the lyrics. I am going through one of the toughest times of my life and nobody knows how many times I wanted to just end it all in the last 24 hours. Life is tough and you sometimes have to make decisions that you do not want to make.

As this song plays continuously in my background, I realized that the balance in this song is one of the important factor to my road to happiness. I've been listening to Calum Scott Ever since he became famous From Briten Got Talent Golden Boy. All his songs speak what everbody is feeling at the moment and give them a reason to keep going in life cause they are always going to be Bumps on the step of the way to Victory or whatever you're trying to get to . I will do anything just to meet him.
I was listening to Spotify and this song came on randomly.. The timing was perfect as I was just leaving my first AA meeting.. Once I made the conscience decision to quit, I felt empowered. relieved..and hopeful.. and this song spoke to me about my feelings so perfectly! I had never heard Calum sing before. To those who read this, Whoever you are. No matter what kind of impossible thing you've been fighting today. Keep on fighting and don't lost hope, love, faith and focus on God. 14years ago, I was declared cannot live longer for I have diagnosed with bone cancer final stage. Several years after it spread rapidly to my inner organ. After 9years my Dr. declared I was cancer free miraculously (Cell cancer gone all of sudden).
I once was lost, during my ups and down I am suicidal. But I found the hope, love and Faith in Jesus Christ. I fight for God even if I died or live alive I will keep on fighting. Till the day God healed me miraculously. Don't lost hope! Keep on Fighting with God, God is Imanuel.
This song gives me a vibe to the extent that I forget how much hurdles I have experienced,the criticism,the downs,the ups but never losing a vision of what I wanted ,today am in my 4th year of my legal studies,indeed I got my best suit on ,am going to rise ,May God bless us all here and Calum for the master piece
