In recent news, power couple Jay Z and Beyonce have just bought the most expensive home ever sold in the state of California … paying $200 million for their new property in Malibu. The 40,000 square foot mansion is considered an architectural masterpiece, designed by famous Japanese architect Tadao Ando. The minimalistic concrete abode took over a decade to build and sits on 8 acres overlooking the ocean, in the exclusive Paradise Cove area - also known as billionaires row. This may seem insane to most of us average folks - but it seems Beyonce and Jay Z only go big or go home when it comes to their real estate portfolio. The only other LA area home they’ve purchased was their main residence back in 2017, which cost them $88 million and they further invested millions of dollars more into upgrades and renovations to push its value to over $100 million.

In conclusion,it not the materials that used for that property that was built,it just value by the location,area and view of the ocean, that's why they got charged a lot of money.
kinda but thats the same as every property you will come across. its actually cheaper to build your own house on land you bought than to buy an existing house. but in this case its in a prime location and has been designed by a world class architect using top of the range materials so long story short the materials would have cost a lot too because the house took 10 years to build thats a lot of money going to the construction workers. i know this because i am one. hope this helped

Wow, their Bel Air home was the one that was purchased with a mortgage. This was paid for 100% in cash (cheque) hence the 95 million discount.
