- The Royal Enfield Himalayan BS4 gets FI which makes it a better motorcycle. Royal Enfield has ironed out most of the issues of the Himalayan while not increasing the price by much. The adventure bike gets few changes but is said to be more reliable. The 2017 Royal Enfield Himalayan BS4 doesn't get ABS but the FI firing is smoother.

i dont understand royal enfield's psychology, they added a modern console on the himalayan and even a compass, but why not atleast a fuel gauge on the bullet ? age old tradition maybe ? #keeping.the.tradition.alive

The himalayan bs4 is very nice bike in terms of performance and features, only the gears are hard to shift. Can you tell that it's better than thunderbird 500 or not?

This company RE is so damn lucky. Even for their rotten WW2 era technology, they have got enthusiastic buyers willing to shell out any amount of money to buy this ancient junk. I haven't seen anybody so lucky in the business or life.
80% of their sales is only through one bike (350 classic) not any other bike they produced sells that much, if they discontinue 350 classic then see what happen to RE
Actually its not luck but there peoducr placement which qorks for them. Same case with maruti. They make shit cars but still sells in huge numbers.

Maine Himalayan bike ki thi 2016 December.. bike achi ha but 3 baar breakdown ho gyi ha..
1st is gear hard
2nd is magnetic coil fail
3rd is too much hard clutch and gear not change
4th is petrol tank leaking right side
Bike bhot achi ha but engine sounds sucks very loud like kuch tut gaya ho .
Abb mujhe darr lagta ha ki kahi road ke beech kharab na ho jaye.. main apne ghar walo ko bhi nahi batata ki bike problem kar rahi ha .. kyoki dukh hota 2 lakh lag gye ispe im very sad

Coincidentally, yesterday I was at a CND dealership that carried RE. Always been intrigued by the classic looks, but with that many issues with QC, it would be a definite Thumbs Down.

I wouldnt risk it to be honest. I drive a continental gt and have had a bad experience with it overall and when i drove a himalayan that my friend owned, i felt that the clutch was wayy to heavy. Point to be noted is both of us are enthusiasts and mainatain our bikes well. Since the conti was bought when it launched i have no regrets, back then it was a good motorcycle. Now all said and done the enfields dont seem to make a strong case as they used to a few years ago.

At 5:40 of the video, you are revving hard on a second gear, how can you not expect a bike to vibrate on a lower gear, and that too the rpm limit has been achieved. Even a 4 cylinder engine will vibrate like hell with this scenario to take.
Hi Faisal need your valuable advice, I have been riding RE standard and classic since last 10 years, planning to buy a new bike either Himalayan or dominar 400. Pl advise which of the 2 will be good considering maintenance,milage & problems. I am more of a city rider and occasionally touring person. Will be kind on your part to give an opinion on this dilemma of mine.

Chassis getting cracks is a very serious thing..!!!
Srinivas Teki ikr my 2007 p150's chassis is still very strong and no cracks whatsoever, but having a cracked chassis in 3-4 years after paying north of a lakh rupees is just absurd.
ace 1121 bro.. You said 3-4 years.. Its not even a year it had developed terrible big crack at cone set joint and that is circulating everywhere.
Problem in engine wheels alloys or anything can accepted. Problem in Chassis is not at all acceptable. You have to change the bike. Thats it..

my height is 5.5 and I ride classic 350 on daily basis for 65km in Mumbai traffic. if it's height is 800mm then it shouldn't be a problem.
It might look misleading, but the ride height is same as the Classic. Mounting while on centre stand could be an effort though.
This bike is not meant to be revved hard at all its a long stroke unit royal enfield have a done a brilliant job of making it reliable than before
Fuel cap.... handle bar mount nd the 3 fork holders....the keyhole where u cn open the seat is all blackened out !

This bike is not designed for speed. It’s meant for not so good roads, and the leh Ladakh sort of terrain. It’s sweet spot is between 80 and 100 on the highways. 0-100 doesn’t really matter.
