  • Firstly i should mention i forgot to show the clear parts, but they are square and not bad for the side, but the canopy is awful, very milky looking. Hope that description is good enough.
Hello again to another review and this time it is my kit that i bought at the Northern IPMS model show. I will be starting this kit next year and will be doing it one of the NASA 747s using the Draw Decals from this website:
    www.drawdecal.com/product/110...
Just a side note if anyone wants any of the new kit releases this year please don't hesitate in getting in touch, or going to our website and pre-ordering at the following:

All the best and I hope you enjoy the video.

Also you can do a cutaway system to see the inside to, By cutting the fuselage , and for the clear part you just open , you can use flexible transparent sheets to act as a fuselage, able to see through .

Thats a great idea to see inside. I have never done this before but I might do that sometime👍👍

as someone who has assembled these in full scale, I would sand all the raised panel lines and rivets off, as they're not really visible in a full size aircraft as the tolerances would never allow for that much, and flush rivets have a skin tolerances of 0.050 +/- .003, what that means is, when a flush rivet is painted, you may see a slight "shadow" of rivet. raised rivets are not really used externally except in certain spots.

Thanks again for the heads up and I will certainly not rivet the kit, but I might rescribe it but not to the extent on a 32nd kit and not as deep. Saw a video where a guy rescribed into the primer only or very slightly through the primer, more like a scratch.
But point taken on everything and sorry for the late reply

Hi I build airliners and 1/100 scale is a favourite, mainly cause I is old and need to see what I'm doing. The overall shape of this kit is IMO the best 747 kit. The only thing that let's it down are the Pratt& Whitney engines. I've built 2 of these , one with everything hanging out , challenging but not impossible. I think all the Nitto / entex/ doyusha 100scale airliners are great for their time, and complement the Russian 100scalish! Airliners ,not forgetting the wonderful 1/96 frog airliners. I'll hide behind the battlements while the rivet counters launch their attack!😅

Just receieved 2 of these kits in a bulk lot out of Japan. Problem is, they were out of box, missing the wings, missing the stabilizers and missing some of the sprues. Your video helped me out a lot, as I'm working blind (no instructions). Thanks a bunch!
Currently 3D printing wings and stabilizers, while trying to assemble the fuselage.

Hi again if you want to build a cutaway
It is very easy, choose one side of the fuselage, and cut it, with that same cut piece, grab and cut an equal piece of plastic clear sheet to serve as a transparent fuselage

I got one of these from an estate sale but it's missing a wing, tail, all landing gear and engines. Going to cast the wings and tail and get a landing gear set from clikc2detail made for this scale. They make all the parts for 1/72. Glad you showed the instructions because I needed that.

Sorry for the late reply. I’m glad I could help with the video in some way. Shame about the lots of bits missing from your kit. Hopefully you’ll be able to do something with it👍👍

@@frontlinemodelhobbies653 I did cast a set of wings and tailplanes for it. They are sagging though. I have to make another set with different resin. I made a set with alumilite slow set which is a good resin but they are sagging. I did another set for a friend with smooth on 310 which I don't like but they are still rigid, just with very small random dings on the surface for some reason. Nothing has been installed yet.

You might want to 3D some of those bits. I've already printed stabilizers for mine and am in the process of printing wings as well.

@@ef7andapp170I did get ahold of click2detail and they can resize engines and landing gear for it. I remade the wings with smooth-on but even those want to sag. Going to add some small brass square tubing into the wings.

The NITTO kit has much better mouldings. This will go together OK. Watch the Landing gear, there is a mistake in the body gear, you need to fix that if you want accurate details. There are other inaccuracies, but the internet will solve that, but as a heads up, watch the wing roots, Stabilizers, engine cowlings and APU. ALSO, once its together, it is going to be heavy.

Thank you for the concise heads up on this kit, i had an idea it might be a handful when looking in the box. I think i'm going to have to reinforce the kit hear and there, especially with a 1/100 Tamiya Shuttle on the top.

@@frontlinemodelhobbies653 Since yours is a Doyusha, Expect warpage. Use the internal fittings, those helped me greatly in reducing some of that. The spiral staircase is useless, but I put mine in as a means of reinforcement. Work out a strategy in joining the fuse halves, use the locating pins at the the nose and the tip of the APU section. The problem is that the plastic springs back to want to go back to its original shape. Mine was a struggle, but your doesn't have to be. Also Good Luck.👍👍
