- Today on Booze On The Rocks we show you how to make the Flying Grasshopper. This original of the drink "The Grasshopper" derives its name from the green color, which comes from Crème de Menthe and was invented in a bar in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana, called Tujague's. There are claims that the drink was invented in 1919 by Philibert Guichet jr, or as some will disagree in the 1920's. However as with all great things some intrepid bartender decided to make a variation of it called a Flying Grasshopper. Try it out and let me know what you think.

Hi David, this looks good and I may well make it this weekend, using Volare Peppermint White liqueur as no Creme de Menthe in my possession. My Creme de Cacao is dark and will impart some colour.
I made the Cabin Fever yesterday precisely to your spec and it was very tasty, rum forward, and I will make it again. Nick from York
I am glad you liked it. Let me know what you think about this one. I am curious to see what yours would look like.
