Arunima Sinha is an Indian mountaineer and sportswoman. She is the world's first female amputee to scale ¹:
- Mount Everest (Asia)
- Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa)
- Mount Elbrus (Europe)
- Mount Kosciuszko (Australia)
- Aconcagua (South America)
- Denali (North America)
- Vinson Massif (Antarctica)
She is also a former Indian volleyball player. In 2011, she was pushed out of a moving train by robbers, causing her to lose one leg. Despite this, she went on to achieve her dream of climbing all seven of the highest peaks in the world. In 2015, she was awarded the Padma Shri award, the fourth highest civilian award of India.
