As a kid, reading that story hit harder than I was expecting. One of the best US Marvel comics stories of that run.

Finally a screen accurate G1 Bumblebee I always wanted. I'm not big on vinyl records either and I wish they came out on CD instead. They still look gorgeous and I just might get them anyway.

Springer 86 looks great as the robot mode and all those items look great. Loved the side gun that came out when Springer shot at Starscream in the Autobot base attack of the TFs movie. Cannot wait for him.
For potential customs I feel I'm gonna end up buying 5 Slipstreams.
Windblade was one of the new figures that I got at my Podunk Walmart and I had to get her but I've added paint apps and man she is awesome
Im honestly surprised that they brought back BotShots! I loved those figures back in the day! Also I can not wait for Leader Soundwave and hopefully those three cassettes are Lazerbeak, Rumble, a new better Ravage!

I’m honestly super excited for Springer, Steeljaw, and Bumblebee. I love the modifications to Springer, and as much as I love the siege mold, this is an improvement. Steeljaw and Bumblebee both look fantastic as well. As for the space bridge reveals I am so thrilled for what is to come. Quake and Slipstream are an instant buy and and I didn’t know about Soundwave coming with Buzzsaw. Thanks for letting me know! Great video!

Honestly the car mode really didn’t look bad to me I think it did look like bee over cliff but as you said it was more of the angle. Bee is my favorite so I’m hyped for it!

so glad springer turned out well, finally have a complete 86 cast! Still unsure whether i like the bumblbee or not i had quite high hopes.

Now that you pointed out the different view of Bumblebee I'm feeling alot better about the car mode, happy I pre ordered him right way and your totally right about in hand shots and and different shots can affect the look drastically. For example, I'm not a big fan of the SS86 Blur but I got him because I'm doing the complete set and in hand, I think he is fantastic and looks so much better then the pics portrayed. Maybe people will get lucky with Omega Prime as well as I though the shots of his face make him look super derpy but maybe in person he will look epic.

Straxus was the big winner for me because I’m a comic fan. Bumblebee can’t help but feel the reason they are doing the penny car just so they wouldn’t pay for the license for Volkswagen.
Metalhawk storage they do a more toy accurate recolor for an obscure character.

Bumblebee: I wish they'd gone with the blue windows. That's what they're doing with ALL the Earthrise re-releases, WHY did they not do it with him? Straxus? Awesome and very memorable character from the comics.. what was it #17 & 18? I've always remembered those particular issues from when I was a kid because of Scrounge and how Blaster couldn't save him, and then battling Straxus --awesome! I just wish these figures weren't so expensive. I still have the Straxus they released years ago for like $13 and it was great... except for not being to scale with Blaster. Finally: I went and saw the TF 40th Event in theaters earlier in the week. TOTALLY FUN! I bet you and your family will have a blast! Roll out!

You're lucky...these figures are all much more expensive when released over here in Europe...and if you purchase online you have to pay ridiculous customs fees, so you can't win. I wish we got this stuff for the prices you guys pay.

I’m wondering, if Optimus, Megatron, and bumblebee will be re-released in the deluxe lineup for season two. That way, we can get versions of them with the autobox symbols rather than the ghost auto robot and ghost Deceptikon symbols that were on their previous figures, since GHOST is no more.
Bumblebee didn't have the GHOST symbol on his EarthSpark figure because he didn't work with GHOST

Thanks for the info! And I get it that tooling and materials cost, but $80!!!! Damn! And personally, I just couldn’t get behind Earth Spark for how they’re portraying Megatron. Such an iconic character deserves better 😜
That's one of my BIGGEST gripes too. Megatron does indeed deserve better.
I believe the only way Steeljaw could transform into the cassette is to remove the wings and tail part. I'd also like to know if the speaker could attach to the other hand seeing as how the finger's pointed out and if that'd get in the way of attaching.🤔 I hope that's not the reason why they didn't put it on his right hand with the pointed finger
Steeljaw, the Decepticon Soldier, and Skywarp are going to put dents in my wallet. Springer, maybe, if only for the swords and hammer
I wish they added aditional panels to hide the rear wheels on Helicopter mode on Springer. Not sure ti get it. So far I'm ok with the Siege version.
As for Bumblebee, the altmode does look too squeezed & yes it will be remolded many times to make other characters. I'll buy it.
The Hot Wheels Optimus Prime is also a Mattel Creations exclusive meaning you also have to be a member of their Red Line Club to even be able to order it.
I kind of want the original double target master intended version of quake, since I have the Titans return headmaster version.
Im interested in what that deluxe Optimus is gonna look like. While the most anticipated is the upcoming commander class this could still be a good one to have

I was in the same boat when it comes to SS86 Springer.
But I'm still on the fence because of the price and the apparent lack of improvements I wanted the most.
The new upper arms, chest, back plate, and rotor wing are nice improvements.
But it still has the same ankles, the front tires are still visible in helicopter mode, and the puny winglets are still shaped really wierd.
If I get it, it'll be on sale.
The legs are missing joints. The original Steeljaw had several movable joints.
Springer looks engineered from thrilling 30 generations I'm still keeping mine
I will say i absolutly love the G1 bumblebee as a whole, robot mode and alt mode.
So many great revelations here. And I'm happy that a lot of these haven't leaked and are genuine surprises for once. Overall, I came out incredibly excited!
Steeljaw got leaked yesterday
I see a lot of people talking smack on Steeljaw, but way back when Blaster was first released I was already hoping they were going to release more cassettes for him, so I'm happy. I figured they would be in two-packs, but this works to help justify the price.
I'm being critical of things I wish were done a bit better. But as I said in the vid, it's not as bothersome considering his small size. I am still getting him and its awesome he comes with the subwoofer.

I was wondering how they were going to fill the price point for Steeljaw? It's cool that we're getting one of Blaster's subwoofers with him. They're basically turning figures like him and Springer into mini masterpiece figures to fill the price.😂
I'm sure a third party company will make a wing filler kit for Slipstream so you can just pop out and replace the fans.
Bumblebee is cute. It just boils down to, do you want a realistic, or accurate alt mode?
Bumblebee's alt mode isn't toon accurate though..not unless you include awkwardly animated screen shots accurate. The second MP figure they did was screen accurate. Go and compare that to this new figure. Even the G1 toy was screen accurate and looks nothing like this new vehicle mode.
@@TF80s G1 Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, and most of the other year one mini bots, are based on penny racer toys. That's why their alt modes in the cartoon are super deformed. They honestly did a good job recreating the squished look for him given how little room they had to work with. Even including the disappearing insignia on the hood, something the Netflix version doesn't even recreate resulting in his only insignia being on his foot.

The regular hot wheels red lines are 40 dollars.that doesn't include tooling and engineering for a 1/64 optimus and it will be a limited edition as well. The redline budget is already higher than your dollar cars. I own a few red lines and rough condition ones are roughly the same price depending on the car and color.

The bumblebee figure that they’re releasing in studio series 86 is probably going to be my last G1 inspired. Bumblebee figure. All they would have to do is repaint this guy into red, and there you would have a cliff jumper.
The mold would work better as a Cliffhumper but only if they give him a bumper..which l guess means he'd have to be a parts former again for it to be screen accurate in bot mode too.
Thank you for this news break because I didn't get a chance to watch it during my lunch but I'm kind of liking the bee. And I agree with you on the cliff jumper remark but this bees kind of scratching the itch that the Netflix really didn't. I mean bumblebee to me was always super deformed Volkswagen with big back tires LOL😂😂 but I am a 50-year-old man wishing that they would do a G1 reboot cartoon love your channel love what you do
The second MP Bumblebee was screen accurate in vehicle mode...this new one definitely isn't. Just compare the two.

I've missed out on Steeljaw at the moment, but I'm happy to have pre-ordered Straxus. The only other character I'm REALLY hoping for is Rook.

I really want that HotWheels Optimus Prime. I am a huge HotWheels fan (Thanks Highway 35: World Race and Acceleracers movies for that) so I definitely want to get it. I absolutely hate that price tag but the HotWheels fan in me isn’t gonna ignore it either. Honestly though, this isn’t the worst thing that’s happened with recent releases of Hotwheels things though. That spot belongs to the Teku Deora II (From the Acceleracers movies, which I should also note was the first Acceleracers themed diecast to be released in over 15 years) It’s release was just handled terribly.

Not yet Legacy Arcee and Jazz of the Animated Universe, then later Dragstrip and Dead End.
At least Transformers one and Earthspark are keeping the brand alive for the future, even if Hasbro are licensing the characters out to companies like Mattel.
I don't why so many collectors seem to dislike SS86 Steeljaw.
I think it's great for what it is and what it's trying to do.
Like every other figure, it could have been better, but that's why we have customizing.
You shouldn't have to customise and many people aren't skilled in doing that..also can people not just accept that other people don't like something that they don't? If you love it, great but we're all individuals with different points of view..and that's okay.
@@TF80s I totally agree that customizing shouldn't be needed and indeed many people aren't super skilled at it. But like everything else in life, it's not that simple.
If you don't like it because the design bothers you, then it's no skin off my back. I'm not talking about you.
I'm talking about the people that are coming up with nitpicks that ignore engineering and material factors and won't accept that other people like something that they don't.
Nylon based plastics don't take paint well, but are need to make the figure more durable. Certain joints are far too fragile if placed in very thin parts, but children have to be able to play with these figures without them breaking within reason. Engineering is hampered by the tiny size, but it needs to fit inside Blaster/Soundwave like the other recent cassette figures.
Collectors sometimes forget that these toys aren't made exclusively to look good on our shelves and that limiting factors exist outside of our wants and desires. And addressing those factors would likely increase production costs and raise prices even higher.
Personally I’m gonna stay on the lookout for the Netflix bee, that’s what’s going in my collection. I’m also doubtful but really hoping we will see a non-comic straxus, I like his look, the colors are good, but I’m hoping for a bit more paint to break him up that isn’t Ben-day process. Considering I’m sure we will eventually see a 86 Galvatron, I don’t think that mold is going anywhere, And now I’m really gonna have to pay the scalper $ for the target exclusive Blaster 😢.
Really hope peeps with the Netflix BB let him go for a way cheaper price now, as this new one is NOT it for me. In fact I will buy the new just to trade.

Straxus is pretty good, but I already invested in the 3D print conversion kit for TR Galvatron to Straxus by Mavs.
Plus I'm not a fan of the comic book deco the same way I'm not a fan of battle damage.
I'll go with the custom instead...

The only Megatron redemption story I liked was IDW's More than Meets the Eye and Lost Light comics.
