Fantastic video! I building an addition and will be using Dexpan to break up some ledge. I'll owe the excavator about $1000 for his time with a rock breaker on his skidsteer. They gave up. Dexpan to the rescue!
Dexpan does work well. I think we did 1 1/4 inch holes, and used a trickle of water to cool the drill tip of the electric drill. This helps make the tip last almost indefinitely. Good luck!
Tell me there's no chemicals you're put in in a nice clean water source I can understand that can't you just move it with cables think about what you're doing.
He tried cables, you can see the anchor bolt in the video. This Dexpan material is basically grout, or cement powder. By the time the rock splits it has set to a solid, and gets removed as a small rod of cement when we remove the rock. Very little environmental impact, if any at all.
