    This is why i support Arteta’s way whatever place we finish last season and this one. He already done what i was waiting for and thought would never happen.
    Ive been following a lot of complete match each season since 2011-2012. And from that time till 2019, Arsenal always had the same characteristics : lazy and soft trainings under wenger, no specific tactics against low mid table teams and below, no defensive plan, no intensity or discipline, players without concurrence. Arteta already changed all this.
    Our 5th place last season is way worthier than our 2th place in 2015-2016. The league isnt the same anymore.

    • @paulie4450
      @paulie4450 Před 2 lety +5

      Partly correct.
      Wenger's 'let them free' approach post-Highbury only helped when 'Arsenal were in the mood'. Like the Wengerball was great when the team decided to show up for that match, but the crunch games we usually couldnt compete cuz the team never knew true discipline.
      Strictly post-Highbury talk.

      @@paulie4450 Agree, but before Emirates, it was due to the players of that era (Henry, Vieira, Sol Campbell, Ashely Cole). Fighters, mens with strong physique, winner. As soon as they left, the team would have required discipline, exigence. But it never happened.
      As for the wengerball, i agree that with the ball, every team was beatable. The problem is that off the ball, Wenger never had a great plan. That's why we always thought Arsenal would finally do something is the League, but they never did under him since 2007-2008. No defensive plan, no tactic accorded to opposing team, too much confidence in the attacking part of the game. That was Wenger's situation when Vieira, Gilberto and the others left
