Pattaya is far more safer than Paris, London & LA Combined with 1000s of bars, which in itself is worthy of a record of sorts plus its way cheaper, also, it is the 15th most visited city in the world, no mean achievement, it has everything for everyone. SavePattaya
Same goes for United States. I walked in Bangkok and felt safer there than in my own country 😂. I should be coming back in August and can't wait. Pattaya has so many things to offer. I should go through there for a few days
Have you seen 'Aussie In Thailaind' video on You Tube? He's very negative about Pattaya. Saying a lot of girls got STD's! He says, Soi Bukhao is the worst place to go in Pattaya. I never had any problems with bar girls and Soi Bukhao is the best area to go to. Well done England in the final of the Euros again! I was in Bedford and it went crazy after England won. Police closed the High Street, full of people singing! Car horns everywhere beeping! God knows what will happen, if England win the Euros! They even said we will get a Bank Holiday, if England win!
What annoys me is how little credit Pattaya gets for the lack of crime and general nuisance. Considering central Pattaya is just one big party town that operates almost 24/7, and is busy throughout the year, you'd think there would be tons of crime and violence with all that booze sloshing around. But there isn't. Why isn't that championed more? If there was a place like Walking Street in the UK/London, it would be a disaster with muggings and stabbings hourly.
I went to Thailand, Pattaya for my first time 18 months ago and it blew my mind away how friendly the people are… the price of things and how cheap it is to be on holidays there… the bars the night clubs the taxi service taxi motorcycle baht bus so cheap… going across to the islands by speed boat 30° temperatures feeling good and relaxed around good people what more could you ask for… Renting cars and renting motorcycles very cheap….top notch hotels cheap & cheap good food in the restaurants… I just can’t wait to go back there in the next five weeks let the good Times roll…

I can appreciate that it must be very frustrating for a city administration when they are trying to diversify the city's tourism product to more family friendly and nature and outdoors pursuits, and none of that good and difficult work is highlighted by the media. They were right to protest. Payment for nookie is going to happen where it's legal or not. At least if it's legal, and workers are registered, it's easier for the authorities to ensure the health of the workers, and the workers have better rights, and no fear of going to the police if a client is out of order.
Hi everyone, just a question regarding walking street in general. Is the Thai live music venue on the right hand side as you enter walking street still open?
Problem with Social Media to many Haters. I have been fortunate to Travel the World and Pattaya is a great Party Town. Show respect to everyone and you will have no problems. I am from Brighton in the UK which has been voted as one of the Best Party Scenes in Europe but trust me its not as safe as Pattaya and a week in Brighton would cost you more than 2 weeks in Pattaya including the flight's. The only downside for me in Pattaya is the Beach itself but better beaches near by. Covid didn't destroy Pattaya, Negative Press won't destroy Pattaya either. Oh and by the way C' MON ENGLAND
A friend friend from work came with me to Thailand. Pattaya being one of the cities, it was quite easy to enjoy the city and, with the exception of the bar on the corner of beach road and soi 8, she didn't see anything other than what was appropriate. Hilton rooftop, Pattaya Adventure ATV, Mermaids, Sky gallery, etc...
I LOVE Pattaya Let us not give up on this Rally. I can not say a negative thing about a hotel stay that was not good. Or I could be charged/Banned or pay fines. How is this Rag able to write nothing but Negative articles? Let the business owners sue them into Oblivion.
Hi Nick, don’t suppose you know of anywhere hush hush selling beer under the table, I know it’s only 2 days & what not but it is my birthday & a drink would be nice. Cheers
It does seem some people try to shame pattaya more than some of the other cities where the exact same thing is going on. It does seem that Thailand does some good things to increase tourism and then counters with things to reduce tourism.
I agree with the sentiments expressed about the protest. As westerners part of our job is to not get involved in Thai politics directly but to keep informed and form our own opinions. I too would like to see the working girls become more legal, so they can better transfer their medical here while they are working and so they can have social workers and pay taxes like any other legitimate job. There are no pimps here or anything like that. These girls make their own arrangements and no one forces them into anything here. Compare that to the US... many of the working girls in the US have literally been sex trafficked. Many recently as a result of democrats / bidens open border policy that has made the drug and trafficking cartels billions of dollars. The trafficked girls in the US are under duress and forced by pimps or organized crime into the sex trade. Many are hooked on dangerous narcotics. Many US working girls have incurable STD's. That's what the US law wants. It's the opposite here in Thailand.

Walking street looks a lot better these days without all the signs hanging over the street, they seem to have put more effort into the bright signs on the front of the buildings which looks good!
Great comments and discussion here. Appreciate all opinions and viewpoints-AJ.

Nice to see Pattaya people fighting back against the negativity. I believe the food and restaurant sector in pattaya is second to none.🙏🏼👍
Correct it's always focusing on negative crap city hall are rightly pissed off.
Don't forget the top notch golf courses throughout the area.
Bias media? Reminds me of the BBC and Channel4.
Love the beer garden, great food and really good choice. My favourite go-to dish is the Guy Panang - Great vids mate

It's tiresome the complaining by expats. Lived here for years and beats the hell out of Trudeau's Canada. Not enough money to make me move back.

This is the point they always have to focus on the negative.
So true Dylan well put bud
London is like that now without a nightlife drinking culture.
God forbid that there’s a place where folks from around the world can afford to go and have a good time, regardless of the opinions of malcontents.

What is the name of the bar you watched the football in.Been to other Sports bars in Pattaya and the England supporters have been a bit subdued.
Hookup Corner top of Soi 7
99% England fans and noisy creating an atmosphere.
It is just ignorant to single out this place for drinking and ladies. Every country has a place or places for this.

Just picked this up. There are usually a few Thai bars personally I went to Phnom Penh for the weekend.
You go on the Thai Friendly dating app and the ladies on there are looking for customers.I don't know what sort of shop they run
I think Point of Sale.....or POS as they say in Africa...
A protest is much cheaper then a commercialised campaign, amiright?
