- Ogre 2 goes over some Halo 1 competitive maps and talks spawns, strategy, nade tricks and more. Saved from a stream of his during October 2014.
Unfortunately Twitch muted the VoD of two 30 minute chunks of this stream, so I didn't save those parts since there's not much point with no sound. As a result, about 3 minutes of his overview of Chill Out and almost all of both Prisoner and Damnation are not included in these videos.

When Halo was interesting... goodbye Halo skill gap, you will never be the same.
*****
If you don't think Halo/2 had a higher skill ceiling then you're ignorant. Button glitches alone, added a significant amount of depth. Honestly, I don't care these days; console shooters are for newbies anyhow. If you want to talk pc shooters, that's another story.
halo ce skillgap is not half as good as halo 3
??? Halo 3? Don’t talk stupid, the skill gap on Halo 3 was minimal hence why teams found it hard to dominate. Halo CE and Halo 2 where on another level.

@@user-yv3mx2hl1l Hilarious, buddy 🤣
Lol I remember the good ole days of traveling to Philly and DC with STK Solo, Strange, and a few of the other heavy hitters back in the day. I remember you and your brother being so good people who didnt know you thought you were telepathic 😂.
Nice job on getting these vids, I missed this!
Dam Ogre, back at it again with the tips
Wow. This is gold. Thanks for the upload!
This is so awesome! Thank you for saving this!

i know
who is zyos?
jayjeet kataria An OG Halo pro
lol
And the jumping in the window part at 1:50 I've always tried to do that but could get the perfect timing. That's probably how some players were able to get on top of the tubes near the teleported
Would it be possible for you to upload the 30 minute chunk to some download site? We missed out on prisoner :(n some other map
The Ogre twitch is so fuckin real
What is that wind sound in the background that keeps cutting out?
It's the game...
+Joshua Andersen Ah. Either way... annoying audio.
+Vaysm yeah it doesn't seem to be capturing the game audio correctly.
It is his music occasionally being caught by his mic as well as game audio.
I keep gettings owner in Steam MCC CE by a player with a tag like OZgre 1 or something thereabout, not sure if that is a legit ogre, but definitely a good player in any case
That is legit OGRE 1
Anyone ever noticed he still circles him aim the same way even today ?
Being born in 1997 I missed out on the fun of LAN parties
Ye being born in 2001 is like a gut punch
Damn. I had 20 years of crapping before you were born in 2001.
Halo: CE was legit my era
Nading rockets to you must be the biggest advantage for the infection game type. Every survivor goes to the same corner to get the rocket but you quickly throw a nade to bring it towards you and troll the rest of your teammates lol
There is no infection in Halo 1...
sounds like some bury your dead in the background :)
poor kitty
Love it
I think this explains why I maybe get like 4 kills per game. This is like playing on a whole nother level. Wow.
Dude i thought there was a ghost cat in my house 😅
What song is playing at 5:50?
In hearts wake - Healer
The cat at 9:23
What is with changing weapons constantly?
Dovahslayer its funny, in halo 1 especially people mess around with switching weapons and wiggling around the aimer. Its a way to loosen up your thumbs in a way. its more habit than anything else. its like a lion limbering up, cept you're warming up your thumbs and messing around with controls. the switching the weapons can come back and bite you in the ass, but i always move the aimer stick in a circle when I'm running around, it hones in your accuracy over time little by little
Skunk Pepin This is so annoying to watch tho! I can understang messing with aiming stick to just feel the accuracy better, but gosh I can't watch this video - switching weapons in just too disturbing to me :/
Also if you melee and switch weapon you switch straight away still, which I think looks quite funny.
+Dovahslayer I do it a lot to keep the blood flowing so to speak. Its to loosen your hands up somewhat but at the same time have more control so you can be more focused when the situation demands it. Hell before I start playing any competitive game like Halo, CSGO, or Dota 2 I like to wash my hands in hot water and dry off with a towel so my hands aren't cold and sluggish and more importantly not sweaty.
Scottyz23 lol I used to do that at the old school AGP and MLG Halo CE tourneys, wash my hands in hot water to get the blood flowing.

Now I got brain damage.
no dislikes
I just hate that in order to beat these competitive nerds i have to memorize all these spawns (basically new to comp halo1 play but not new to halo) i wish we could just magnum/nade/snipe off in all honesty. But the battle for spawn trap and power weapons is such a struggle. Never a believer in rockets feels grimy to use. But ya gotta...
that's how it is for anything worth doing. games, sports, careers, whatever. if you want to be competitive, you have to put in the time and effort, and go the extra mile when others are not willing to.
8:50 is there someone having sex ?
