Real talk this makes me wonder how the other detectives survived their massacres, like Vivia could’ve hidden and used his forte to spy on what was happening, Fubuki could’ve rewound time if she was in danger, and Halara is just OP, but the only way I can see Desuhiko surviving is if he disguised himself as one of the victims and played dead

I don't think its explicitly stated that they had massacres(correct me if I'm wrong) but attacks of some form
It's all possible that they had to go through less gruesome attacks until they finally decided to go all out with Yuma at the end.
