hi Karen, I just love your videos, however for this particular project, i had work the cardigan from a chain of 39 with a 5mm hook, cause with the 35 chain i didnt have enough chain for the last corner... but your videos are awesome and keep me well entertained while i do my crocheting....i love your slipper tutorials as well...

Hi Karen, I've made this little cardigan following your pattern, you make it so easy to follow. I have used this pattern a few times to make them for my friends daughter who is expecting later this year, thank you again 😊
Lovely ,easy baby sweater ,I am following u, thank u so much, teaching step wise ,so greatful !
LOVE YA!! Thanks for keeping me entertained while I learn from you. -:)
Thank you for your video it's brilliant I am a learning and great to follow
I know it's a bit late but I am crocheting along with you on this pattern. I'm ready for something new :) I have really enjoyed your history commentary on this video. History was my favourite subject at school too. Everything we do has to start somewhere, you are on about crochet therefore someone had to have invented it as it's not a recent craft. Same with knitting, so who decided to use 2 needles, someone else decided to use 4 needles and knit that way. Then there is the loom, same situation. You have now discovered this craft goes back centuries and even I am finding this fascinating. I do hope you will consider writing a book OR using your son's skills maybe a video book with picture/illustrations. I will definitely buy it but could I please have a signed copy lol. Keep 'em coming Karen, though I do know you have your hands full at the moment. Right, ready for the next section xx
I am glad this video is back again. I was just busy with it.
Hi im ali i found you're videos today and think you are brilliant at explaining how to follow your pattern s.
Hi thank you for this easy tutorial didn't take long at all to make x
thank you for lovely baby cardi waiting for hat to match in the mean time doing this pattern thanks again
Hi Karen, I'm a pure beginner, so I've just been watching before I start making.
What a lovely lady you are!
It's felt like I've been sat with a friend, listening to her chat away.
I suffer with depression after the death of my son and it was recommended I try knitting or crochet to pass the time, give my mind something positive to think about.
After watching your video, if I can get my head around making the tiny cardigans, I would like to crochet and donate them to my local maternity hospital.
It would make me feel productive I think, give a little something back to society and maybe help me along the way.
I have been given tons of wool and needles for knitting but I have no crochet hooks, so I've just ordered a full set, hopefully they will be here soon.
Can't wait to get started and I'll have a "friend" to chat away and keep me company while I learn!
Thank you so very much for your great videos x
Wow...I think I was meant to come across ur comment today because I too suffer with depression and I also have suffered the loss of a baby boy...( today is actually his birthday 9/25 10/03)Crocheting has really been extremely therapeutic for me and I started crocheting after my sons death because the day he died I was given a beautiful crocheted blanket by one of the NICU nurses and up until that point I had never seen or really appreciated just how beautiful the art of crocheting was and that crocheted blanket is so very special to me because it was the very last thing he used and whenever I feel really sad or depressed I get out the blanket and try to remember the very short time he was here with me. I feel your pain.....no mother should ever have to bury their child. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers🌹🙏🏽👼🏽

Hi there, love this cardigan, I am making one for my doll and guess what...I am 48🤫
Hi I not long ago when doing the loft out (again😀) I came across my doll that was in pieces arms legs hanging and her head was off, my daughter that was helping me said to get rid of her, I was horrified at that idea as she was my first ever memory, she was sat in a little pushchair at the side of my bed on my first birthday, I was apparently walking at 10mounths old and I've managed to use elastic and put her back together yahhh!!! I have followed Karen's patterns and knitted 'Rosebud' an outfit I am 69 years old. Totally love it so does my daughter. Karen your great I love your chatting catch ups. ❤️
Hi Karen, I have made a load of these for friends and they love them. My mum has asked me to make her one and I'm struggling to work out the chain/pattern to do it. Can you help?

Can you share the smaller sizes.pattern as not sure how may chain etc to do.
can you show us how to make the smaller ones please
Please please show us your tiny cardigain x
According to the chart that you drew for the preemie cardigans, shouldn't this pattern start with a chain of 36 not 35?? Just wondering. I'm trying to figure out the pattern for larger cardigans. Thank you so much for your video tutorials! You're wonderful!!
I started with a chain of 35 on this tiny cardigan because I was working with the half double crochet and the finish was better 😊 thank you for watching my videos.
Hello I have spent a half a day trying to make a cardigan out of there I did not realize that these videos did not go together so you would know how to do the whole thing. Could you please do a complete video I'm so disappointed

hi Karen. I found your chat very interesting and fun. we think a lot alike. As for me, I gave up on religion a long time ago. That was when I found God and the meaning to life. I am very spiritual. You are being drawn to travel to certain places, I really hope you can go. My ancestry began in England. Maybe one day I'll get to fly across that pond.
THe reason farming started there was because two grasses were crossed which created corn
have you got pattern for preemie size thankyou x
Just use a smaller hook. And also find a size chart. I have a business and crochet in preemie sizes, so I use dolls as my "models" :-)
Sorry found it x
Hi.. please let me know what size baby this is for?.. thank you
Where are the instructions for frilly edge ?
Plz swetr for newborn baby
idk what im doing wrong :(((( I literally and going along with you and I can't get passed the first party cause when I get back to the beginning, I tend to only have 3 corners done :( im frustrated:(
I'm sorry I don't know where you have gone wrong, you must have missed a bit, maybe you would prefer to try this cardigan instead, it is sooo much easier czcams.com/video/UMbdx5mYS5c/video.html 🙂 then maybe you can come back and try this one another time
@@karenscrochetchannel5034 OMG I FIGURED OUT WHAT I WAS DOING WRONG!!! on the corner I wasn't using the same hole, I kept going. to the next hole
Hi Karen, I want to thank you for your wonderful videos and instructions and the lovely history lessons. I thinking have now completed 5-6 converse shoes for my future grandson. I,m so happy you have now issued this cardigan series of videos. I want to crochet a newborn one for him and have tried several others but am not happy with the outcomes. This one looks like the one I would like. I live in Richmond Hill Ontario, Canada. I have a grey baby yarn from Bernat-Softee Baby, 100%acrrylic. It is marked 3 - Light and recommends a 4mm hook on the package. How does this compare with your yarn? Should I use a 4 or 5 mm with my yarn and will it change the sizing? Please help as I really trust your advice. Hope your father is doing well and thank you for your videos.

That wee cardigan would fit a very little premature baby

You should put your knowledge into writing...a book. Of what you've found out... then you wouldn't be in limbo and you'd still be educating others.
Wish you did not talk so much . Just want pattern
Absolutly frustrating to follow ,you talk to much and complicate the beginner
Wish you did not talk so much.
It's been a couple of years since I first saw this video to try my hand at crocheting for the very first time, and now I'm coming back years later to make another one of these lovely cardigans. Your video makes it incredibly easy to follow, thank you so much for this pattern!!
