- Farmtruck has had a long history of being a street racer with this heavy truck trying its hand on the list for years. The truck being a sleeper at first quickly became known and the list of racers wanting to race farmtruck have turned to street cars to full blown race cars. In this video farmtruck grudge raced a gtr that grudge races. The gtr is no slouch with big horsepower and all wheel drive the farmtruck looked to be in a disadvantage and on paper should lose everytime. But, this aint no regular farmtruck as this truck's best asset its ability to launch hard and get out in front quickly. We included some of the races the gtr had before the race and looked ready to take down the mighty nitrous assisted truck. But, would it have enough to beat the fast gtr? Funny to see when people say their gt-r is the fastest thing in the world, then they pull up beside a 60 year old pickup truck with a big block v8

@@jayherman1394 don't think he was saying it's stock... Longer a Chevy lives the more aftermarket stuff gets put on. And that GTR is by no means stock either so pretty impressive that old tank of a truck can smoke a top of the line souped up sports car
Drag racing my 1968 Chevy C-20 back in day against a fellow worker with a 1970 Dodge Swinger with a 340 , I never told him I had my 307 rebuilt by the BOCES occupation tech center with all new titanium parts , rebored cylinders and oversized pistons pushing far more than the original 200hp … he laughed at my truck till I beat him in front of the whole hydraulics plant workers … I made him buy drinks at the closest bar for the crowd … I was 18 and you could drink legally in NY !!! … yep , don’t judge a book by its cover !!!

Farm truck is definitely the heaviest in it's match ups but that is also what helps it get these great launches by keeping the wheels on the ground....

GTR hits the brakes when he knew he had no hopes of winning to throw off people guessing its estimated 1/4 time. Such sore loses in the drag racing community these days.

I don't know about GTR's but I know the launch control in my challenger 8s almost useless without a LOT of care. I don't know anyone who uses it, its just easier to feather the throttle. Sure it holds the rpm low for launch but the moment you launch it goes to full throttle instantly so without a fully prepped track and full slicks its just burnout city.
@Kw #1 sure don't look like farmtruck was the loser to me. GTR rolled out first and even tried to play catch up. Sure not ideal start but had no chance. Keep that P.O.S. off the track if he can't drive it
@Kw #1 farmtruck has the most fun. The rest of the street outlaws crew have drag cars not street cars, yeah an old Chevy with 1500hp won't keep up with a tube chassis full blown race car with 3000+hp but at least it's a true "street racer". As for the GTR I agree, shitty launch. Dude should get some practice in before embarrassing himself too much more. Sad to see a $90,000+ car getting beat by a $1500 truck with a $30,000 engine. Too bad you're be so disgusted with farmtruck, he's always gonna beat up those nobody's you speak of who have more money than driving skills

To keep the brake pads off and away from the rotors, it causes drag on the cars
@@j.cephas584 think I'm still confused lol u let off brakes they no longer are on the rotors no? I thought u ment as in remove the brake pads but then how do they stop lol ? And didn't know it would cause drag since their "inside" the rims wouldn't air just move around them completely??? Learn something new everyday haha
@@justincorbett8324 no power steering and the brakes lock at times, so he's saving his brake pads. He's also saving gear slippage by only going into neutral. He's saving the truck from the excess torque at launch. There's many reasons why they move the way they do.

yeah, i'd say the Farmtruck's cover is pretty much blown at this point. Anyone have any idea how much horsepower this brute makes at the rear wheels? I'm guessing somewhere around 1,400, at least.

Lol I’m assuming that’s a stock gtr no mods. But that truck had a fully rebuilt v8 engine with boost and tuning all done to it. Just tune the gtr and get a custom cool air in take and I bet the gtr would win
