All the ingredients of a good drama: A rekindled High School love affair; a heart wrenching parental tragedy, wonder lust to start a fresh from old memories; an old feller battling with memory loss one minute, & acute, detailed memory the next; the loss of a daughter the gaining of another; idle town gossip on the wind from the mouths of those who should know better. It all makes for quality viewing, despite what others may imply.

I found this almost as boring as it is confusing. I have no idea what the boyfriend was talking about when he said he couldn't go to NY with Sophie because of Harry Pleasant having run over his own daughter in the car that the boyfriend now drives. WTF!? The acting was great, but the editing is bad, and the story moves much too slowly. This is a time-waster.
That the dude who Dylan is Bates motel was was turned up when searching for his brother Norman 🎉🎉

You can learn lot of your own sifferings when you caringgiving another person, dementia/elederlu patient or parents not easy to take care when you have your own issues, I know that well, but if you do somehow blessing comes to you tripple way if not sooner but later . sometimes makes me cry when i hear my mom cant remember some of the stuffs even her own young self.. not sure how i manage to cope with the day i be hear the bad news,,,.. well pretty great movie.. can relate to

Just after 1:32:08, it totally mutes for several seconds. And at a very crucial part in the dad's suicide. All we hear are crickets, but the daughter's head is moving (so she is talking) and by the mother's expressions, she is being told something we are not hearing. It sort of ruined the whole movie for me.
