I would never have thought twice about Adept as a brand if it weren't for your channel. They are some of the most affordable and impactful shadows in my collection.

Thé single circular pan swatched arm gave me metropolis vibes .
The stained glass and JD glow shadows gave me the most longings. A beautiful well rounded selection of singles.
I actually went through my singles at the beginning of the week and cherry picked my least used to form a chopping block palette, you are completely correct it was more fun than shopping 👌🏽

God I always love those peacock shades and blues so much and I feel so tempted to get something like them and then I remember I will literally never wear them because it's not my style. I love seeing them swatched though, so this was a treat for my eyes.
One thing I've learned about myself through your channel is usually if something makes me excited, it's because I have a long standing love for it already, like olive toned sweaters and warm toned shadows. And as a result I've already BOUGHT these types of items multiple times over.
So I've learned to divide and distinguish my excitement into two primary camps:
1. Excitement because it's something actually new
or
2. Excitement because it's similar to something I already love and cherish.
This strategy has helped me a lot the last few months to begin reprogramming my consumer habits. And I thank you for that! 💖

I think it was about a year ago when I couldn't believe you didn't have a million followers, but at the time, I also realized it is because you are unique and have a discerning audience and we adore you. This morning, as I reached for a "one and done" quick shadow to appear presentable for my 7am Zoom call. I reached for 'Wild' in my Flower Beauty pallette, which I purchased just after watching one of your lovely swatch videos. Congratulations on your growth and thank you for being a breath of fresh air!
I love how you talk about fun it is to play with what you have. It’s so true. I was swatching the singles I already own while I watched this video, and it definitely makes me inspired to use them.
Hannah, I just want to say, I never realised just how many lessons I've learned during my time subscribed until watching this video. I was so drawn into how the Clionadh shades swatched on you and was filling up a cart online, and then took time to examine the swatches on someone closer to my skin tone. I then realised that most of the shadows either weren't to my taste or already existed in my collection based on how they looked on the darker model. So, I closed the cart, and I don't feel the burning desire for them anymore. I think you made an excelleny point about the beauty industry making us believe we need to buy "that specific eyeshadow" to get the same effect. It's especially true, in this era of online content and very white centric indie brand content, that the eyeshadow might not even look the way I want it to when I wear it. That monologue aside, subscribing to you has helped me amend my view towards beautiful things, as I properly jumped into the makeup buying world in early 2021, and was feeling the urges to buy more and more and more. Luckily, being a broke college student stopped me and I had to force myself to be more intentional, but had I not found you by the time my job picked back up and got the ball rolling, I would have been spending hefty sums monthly on makeup, which would've been a problem because I dont even live in the States 😂😂😂😂. Seriously though, you're like the big sister I've never had (don't tell my actual sister I said that) and I can't thank you enough for what your content has done for me. xoxo

It’s raining here today, and this seems like a fun rainy day activity. I have around 400 singles and just ordered more. I need to love what I already own and use it more, even if it is just swatching just for fun. I’m a bit of a shopping addict and I need to stop looking at new new new.
I LOVEEEE this type of videos. ❤ Eyeshadow is my makeup weakness. LOL I have new found love for my collection since I went on a depotting spree over the holidays. It's very hard to assess your singles when they are rolling in different drawers or pouches.

That orange swatch right next to that charcoal swatch is so attractive to me. It makes me smile because I remember it being said it's so weird to mix warm and cool tones in and eye look and I'd love to see those to shades together in an eye look.
I've been super in to a red, orange or coral crease and purple lid as of late. It's not super original but it's new for me. I'd normally be more likely to go with a green or blue crease and purple lid.

Hi, Hannah! I wanted to tell you that this video inspired me to swatch most of my eyeshadows up and down my arms last night. I got excited about some shades id forgotten about, but I also purchased a couple from looxi because I’m lacking in those creamy, textured, grungy shadows that I am so attracted to. The Em Cosmetics cosmic pearl dewy eyeshadows swatch brilliantly. Excited to use those again.

So good to see that the message you brought to us viewers is again, to appreciate what we might already have. Right now I have two shadow palettes, a 15 pan and a 9 pan, plus 4 single shadows. For awhile I had been eyeing green shadows out in the beauty world (because that was a fashionable shade in the autumn) but because I didn't impulse buy on anything, I have lost that desire for green. However, I have never stopped looking at palettes or singles that might bring me the perfect purple or lavender colour/s (my eyes are green). One day I will make an informed decision and make a purchase, but it will not yet be today...

Yeh my team captain died recently too so had to be decluttered. I was very sad because I loved it and I've never found a grey toned khaki matte just like it yet.

Such a fun video! One thought while watching: I'm amazed at the wide range of shades the makeup industry calls "Opal." Could be a shimmery pink? Could be a glistening white? Could be a neutral gold or anywhere in between! Haha this is why I like seeing swatches so much more than knowing shade names. They could mean anything!

I love your mentioning that the color we're seeing isn't the true color. I don't know how many times I've gotten so excited for something gotten in my hands and it's not what I thought. Logically I know that it's skewed but it's so easy to forget.

What is the issue with Adept?
I filmed this video shortly after the other one, before I had a sense of this. I'm still working on figuring out what it's all about. I don't spend much time on IG so this is all new info to me. But I see that there are really strong feelings about it! I appreciate your comments and I'm looking into it.
A customer who is blind reached out to the brand owner about making the website more accessible after struggling to purchase when a product launch and the brand owner’s response was essentially shop somewhere else and when people were upset the brand owner started deleting comments and just kind of making the situation even worse.

Love the gentle reminder to dive in to what I have and love it. If I had an extra $260 to burn right now I'd be real tempted to order the 4 Wild Obsessions palettes by Huda and the 4 Happy Hour palettes by glamlite. I might by some of them down the line but for now I can take inspo from them and go in to my palettes and play around and love it.

Thank you for this video. I caught myself exploring my own extensive collection and doing some swatches…it feels like I got the palettes brand new. I think it’s important to swatch the collection every once in awhile to realize I don’t need more eyeshadow…I already have enough for several people lol. Also, I just love the rings you wear…I am envious of people who can wear jewelry…I am so sensitive to it and it drives me nuts…
