Spino has a bug rn where if you hit someone straight on, the bite just doesn’t register so I haven’t been playing it recently Which is why I’ve been playing sarco💀
Are you running traction instead of stomp? I have a defense sub spino and usually use paddle tail to make up the swim speed loss and for the turn speed because I can’t deal with the 30% slower stam regen, but I do feel like tail attack would be a lot more helpful on land
Yeah I’m running traction. It’s better against apexes which is why I run it, plus it’s better in water Also stomp costs stam which kinda counteracts the extra stam regen over traction
Honestly from my personal experience a good spino can definitely kill a good rex but if the rex knows how to turn (pressing precision and nothing else essentially) the rex has a slight advantage. Idk if its because of those weird hitbox bugs the game has rn or not but they need to make spino’s bite easier to hit especially considering eos and rexes both have very large hitboxes on their bite/headbutt attacks. Which also needs to be fixed. I was playing officials with allo today for an upcoming video of mine and fought an achillo and rex, dude shoulda been biting my tail when I ran around to get the achillo 75% of the time but like 5 out of 6 of his bites still hit me on the leg/body it’s ridiculous and I play a lot of rex 🤣
@@MrTickles445 you kinda just have to report bugs and pray you get lucky. You can also have friends gift you Bugtracker skins if your friends ever get a spare one Also, sometimes there are testing sessions on the public test branch that give everyone included a Bugtracker skin
I was running full water spino, iirc i wasnt on full health in the first place, and i was facetanking so they wouldnt escape. I knew they wouldnt be able to kill me so i was going full aggro

People are to over reliant on bone break, I’ve had people say dasp without bone break is unplayable but really only Rex needs bone break due to its speed
@@Theanimateddevice358 they were probably bad then sadly, most mixpackers are. Usually a 1v1 by itself is enough to get a rex low even with facetank, so if you beat 2 other apexes and an allo they were probably bad but facetank definitely helps.

@@dtbrex08 spino’s hitbox is god awful rn because the bug. Normally it’s one of the best of the apexes, only worse than eo’s headbutt imo

Traction improves your water turning a bit so it’s better on water spino

I play rex without bone break and have killed a rex, trike, and a sucho all at once. Oh and an allo! All in one fight!
