I love his channel, I have Cerebral Palsy and I'm unable to travel. Watching Mr. Bald travel feels like I'm there with him. Gives me that sense of freedom he has during his travels. He recently recovered from Covid-19 and started vlogging again. He is an awesome guy.

Which, as you can see for yourself, means that most of his videos range from 500k to 4m views. And if his videos were suddenly so bad that they only got 500 views (which never happens as far as I've seen), then his sub count would drop DRASTICALLY, because if they were so bad and controversial, nobody would want his new videos popping up in their feed. Bill Wilson well his videos isn’t bs, but... he is definitely not to good to be true. He has kind of a dark side. But it doesn’t matter his videos are entertaining and he is genuine.
I have absolutely nothing with vloggers, youtubers and guys like that but this guy is a class on his own. No fancy videos and sneaky commercial stuff, just informative and he truly gives you the feeling that you travel with him instead of watching another traveling programme. (and he's got a great sense of humor)

He is unique. He has no ideological ax to grind which is rare enough among westerners and the locals soon find him to be authentically respectful. Given this, it is the locals he interacts with that allow an almost intimate and honest portrait of their lives.

It’s a great point but I feel you are being slightly misled. There is the tourist areas, the normal areas and then there are the run down areas. It’s the run down areas that he visits as these are the most shocking and have the most humble people.

Tbh Bald has sort of a dark side apparently. I believe they even mad a subreddit about it. Some redditors state that he actually is a sociopath and a pickup artist and that the main reason he goes so often to post Soviet countries and India is for the cheap sex. Also, there are screenshots of him referring to some middle eastern countries as shitholes, and apparently he is far right? He is lying. I'm a huge fan of Bald, but he used to frequent pick-up artist forums before his fame on CZcams, where he documented his sexual escapades in the countries he visited. This is how he met Harald Baldr and the not-so well known Irish Partizan. Just to add to your video, he has a military background, he mentioned this in one of his recent vlogs in Czech Republic where he was interviewed by the local Radio Station, when asked about it he said "I can't really talk about the military background" The comment section of that video had all sorts of theories that he was a secret agent for British Army and that's why he's so good in conversing with people.

I met a bunch of Eastern European kids on vacation in America and vowed to visit them. Right around the same time I got hooked on Bald. I then visited Georgia (skiing for a week in Gudauri and hanging out in Tbilisi) with my Georgian buddy and a Czech girl and had an AMAZING time! Highly recommend Tbilisi, it's unfathomably cheap yet somehow still modern. You'll feel like you're stealing with every dollar spent so tip accordingly!

Couple of months late to the party here... but I have seen almost all of Bald's videos on his channel. The things he has done for people in those remote, downtrodden areas of the world is humbling. The way he's taken care of Kolya, the way he brought supplies to that old man and his mother in Belarus (In the same area where Kolya lives, in fact), the respect that he shows towards other people and their culture... if people in the world were as warm-hearted as Mr. Bald, perhaps we truly could have some form of world peace. He is a kind, generous man with a passion for sharing his adventures and his knowledge with others, encouraging them to have that same respect and kindness as he goes. I don't care about Mr. Bald's past with bankruptcy or business. I care only that he produces amazing videos and is a genuinely kind man.

I love his videos. There is just one thing I don't like about him, is how he always insists that all of these places he visits are completely safe to travel to. I mean the guy literally looks like an undercover agent, always wearing flashy colours, is tall and stern with great charisma. Not everyone is like that. He's less likely to be a target of theft or worse in these places than the average traveler.

Ben is a great, funny guy. He also used to live in another part of England for a while. A small island to the south. When I was a young 17/18 year old we would drink together, make a little money grape picking at the local vineyard or explore an old abandoned hospital. Ben is a genuine person with only the best intentions for every place he visits and respects all cultures. When I first saw his videos in 2020 I was stunned that he was vlogging and doing so well after not seeing him for so long which made me question was it really him or just a guy that looked similar, that was until I heard his laugh and then that was enough confirmation for me. Now I'm an avid fan of his channel and hope he continues with the great content that has opened my eyes to the world we live in.

I enjoy his videos: his style, his attitude, his sense of adventure. He did say recently that he learnt Russian in Portsmith, in a Russian class his mum took him too to to get him away from his gaming console.

Bald is awesome. Each of his videos is like going to an adventure yourself. I’ll never be able to visit the places he goes and to do the crazy stuff he does. Everything’s so authentic, no editing, no bs. His content is pure gold. I really appreciate him. I don’t really think his past matters, because the channel is not about his personal life, but his adventures. It’s just like reading a book or watching a movie, but much better. I tried to watch other CZcamsrs that travel, but its nothing like Bald.
His purpose seems to be to depict people around the world, and particularly in the former Soviet Union, in a positive light. He exposes some of their difficulties, often caused by irresponsible governments, and how they have coped and made the best of their situation. He is often welcomed by common people, sometimes even in their homes.
The fact when he got covid and got "special" treatment in Belarus(Or was that Serbia) by orders of the Russian embassy speaks volumes on how connected he is.
@@martinc.720 He actually made a video about it, his video about getting COVID, but took the video down because he still felt very weak and didn't want to deal with all the hate from COVID Truthers. Basically he got extremely sick in Serbia and the Russian Embassy there pulled some connections to get him into the best hospital and (if I remember correctly) was even prepared to fly him special to Russia for treatment if necessary.

It's a pity, because it was a very powerful and convincing testimony about Covid for the hoaxers out there. The only reason I can think of why he removed the video - because the Russian embassy in Serbia helped him get into a hospital. That smells a little agent-ish, but maybe the Russian government really likes him for his tourism videos. It's a mystery, and we will never know.

'Bald & Bankrupt' also had a video of traveling to a town called "Ganja" in Azerbaijan. These days the town has come under bombardment (missile attacks) as part of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict (between Armenia and Azerbaijan) with 23 civilian deaths and 50 injured with 20 homes and 1 apartment block destroyed. Hope that conflict settles back down soon. Also, 'Bald & Bankrupt' also survived a serious bout of COVID-19 while traveling in Serbia, was unable to take any videos for a month, and he had some long hauler after effects that has slowed him down considerably. Hopefully, he's doing better these days. He has since filmed and uploaded a few videos from Mexico (with a couple of amigos) where he continues to press his luck by trying to visit the most dangerous places to prove the people there are basically friendly.

And if his videos were suddenly so bad that they only got 500 views (which never happens as far as I've seen), then his sub count would drop DRASTICALLY, because if they were so bad and controversial, nobody would want his new videos popping up in their feed. He is unique. He has no ideological ax to grind which is rare enough among westerners and the locals soon find him to be authentically respectful. Given this, it is the locals he interacts with that allow an almost intimate and honest portrait of their lives.

Just to add to your video, he has a military background, he mentioned this in one of his recent vlogs in Czech Republic where he was interviewed by the local Radio Station, when asked about it he said "I can't really talk about the military background"
The comment section of that video had all sorts of theories that he was a secret agent for British Army and that's why he's so good in conversing with people.

I then visited Georgia (skiing for a week in Gudauri and hanging out in Tbilisi) with my Georgian buddy and a Czech girl and had an AMAZING time! Highly recommend Tbilisi, it's unfathomably cheap yet somehow still modern. You'll feel like you're stealing with every dollar spent so tip accordingly!

The way he's taken care of Kolya, the way he brought supplies to that old man and his mother in Belarus (In the same area where Kolya lives, in fact), the respect that he shows towards other people and their culture... if people in the world were as warm-hearted as Mr. Bald, perhaps we truly could have some form of world peace. He is a kind, generous man with a passion for sharing his adventures and his knowledge with others, encouraging them to have that same respect and kindness as he goes.
I don't care about Mr. Bald's past with bankruptcy or business. I care only that he produces amazing videos and is a genuinely kind man.

I love his videos. There is just one thing I don't like about him, is how he always insists that all of these places he visits are completely safe to travel to. I mean the guy literally looks like an undercover agent, always wearing flashy colours, is tall and stern with great charisma. Not everyone is like that. He's less likely to be a target of theft or worse in these places than the average traveler.

Ben is a great, funny guy. He also used to live in another part of England for a while. A small island to the south. When I was a young 17/18 year old we would drink together, make a little money grape picking at the local vineyard or explore an old abandoned hospital. Ben is a genuine person with only the best intentions for every place he visits and respects all cultures. When I first saw his videos in 2020 I was stunned that he was vlogging and doing so well after not seeing him for so long which made me question was it really him or just a guy that looked similar, that was until I heard his laugh and then that was enough confirmation for me. Now I'm an avid fan of his channel and hope he continues with the great content that has opened my eyes to the world we live in.

I enjoy his videos: his style, his attitude, his sense of adventure. He did say recently that he learnt Russian in Portsmith, in a Russian class his mum took him too to to get him away from his gaming console.
I'm Russian and I still watch him because sometimes it's very fun to look at usual things from "fresh" side.

He seems like a very genuine happy enlightened man with no preconceptions with no prejudice ( snobbish attitude) and he takes everyone at face value .I respect him he is not scared of anything and just rocks up anywhere.It's a pity there is not people out there like him.The world would be a better place.He is very funny as he is so crazy as he doesn't give a crap as most people would feel vunrable in the strange situations he gets himself in to .He takes a negative and makes a positive .top bloke. He should be leading the UK then we might actually get stuff done.

Bald and bankrupt is very honest and no reservation what so ever in video making. He just put all the rawness without cosmetics or almost striped down to the simpliest format.

I enjoy watching his videos. Especially when he has alinachick with him. He's generous to those he visits, is kind and without his videos I doubt most of what he shows, we would never know about the towns or the people...

Bald is awesome. Each of his videos is like going to an adventure yourself. I’ll never be able to visit the places he goes and to do the crazy stuff he does. Everything’s so authentic, no editing, no bs. His content is pure gold. I really appreciate him. I don’t really think his past matters, because the channel is not about his personal life, but his adventures. It’s just like reading a book or watching a movie, but much better. I tried to watch other CZcamsrs that travel, but its nothing like Bald.

@@martinc.720 He actually made a video about it, his video about getting COVID, but took the video down because he still felt very weak and didn't want to deal with all the hate from COVID Truthers.
Basically he got extremely sick in Serbia and the Russian Embassy there pulled some connections to get him into the best hospital and (if I remember correctly) was even prepared to fly him special to Russia for treatment if necessary.
Notice all his videos about covid are gone now

Great video DISSagreeable, his book is still by my bedside, a year after buying it.
Love his work, he has inspired me to also travel to former Soviet nations.
It's a pity, because it was a very powerful and convincing testimony about Covid for the hoaxers out there. The only reason I can think of why he removed the video - because the Russian embassy in Serbia helped him get into a hospital. That smells a little agent-ish, but maybe the Russian government really likes him for his tourism videos. It's a mystery, and we will never know.

He said he would take it down after a couple days in a post. He said he deleted it to forget about the awful experience and move on. Also said he is hoping to be back by october-november I believe.

'Bald & Bankrupt' also had a video of traveling to a town called "Ganja" in Azerbaijan. These days the town has come under bombardment (missile attacks) as part of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict (between Armenia and Azerbaijan) with 23 civilian deaths and 50 injured with 20 homes and 1 apartment block destroyed. Hope that conflict settles back down soon. Also, 'Bald & Bankrupt' also survived a serious bout of COVID-19 while traveling in Serbia, was unable to take any videos for a month, and he had some long hauler after effects that has slowed him down considerably. Hopefully, he's doing better these days. He has since filmed and uploaded a few videos from Mexico (with a couple of amigos) where he continues to press his luck by trying to visit the most dangerous places to prove the people there are basically friendly.
