One issue you notice over longer periods of use is the glare/reflection from your clothes, but I'm also still waiting for my beam to show up to test out the new views.
Hi, thanks for pointing out the case, just like what you mentioned, it does have a reflection from white clothes. We will try to optimize it from the design and lens cover.
Did you have any luck using this as a monitor for your Sony? Can you try setting the output to 1080?
Theoretically, you can show the image from a camera via Wi-Fi on your phone(I did this) and then mirror your phone screen on glasses
I use this with my Mirrorless camera and very efficient for manual focusing. This could make bulky and energy heavy monitoring obsolete.
Which camera and cable? I’m looking to do the same but have had different reports.
@@MrBeninspain your gona need the hdmi adapter from x real and the hdmi cable that is compatible with camera. I use the Sony a6400, depending on your camera there might be some video output setting adjustments. In my case to shoot in 4k and monitor the display i had to deactivate proxy mode.
I have the beam and the official H-C cable coming. Should this work?
@@MrBeninspain not sore. But might not seem necessary to even use the beam. Cameras are tricky with other sources. It's just the matter of outputting a video signal. I tried the beam and it's very troublesome to use with even just the glasses. I would just get the adapter instead for video purposes.
I don’t get the point of the beam. Does it just allow more types of devices than can be directly plugged in? Can you not plug an iPhone in directly over cable with an adapter? Looks like a lot of lag I don’t see how the wireless option would be usable in any kind of game needing low latency.
Hi, the XREAL Beam primarily offers a 3Dof virtual screen for various devices, such as PCs, phones, and gaming consoles. To connect the iPhone with the Beam wiredly, the AV Lightning adaptor is necessary since the iPhone utilizes a Lightning port. Nevertheless, the Beam is compatible with Airplay, enabling wireless connection through Airplay as well. For gaming purposes, it is advisable for users to connect the Beam to gaming devices using a wired connection. This is because, as you mentioned, certain games demand low latency.

Another xreal sponsored advert. I'm tired of these videos. Nobody talks about the bad things about it. Like beams fan is noisy, you can't carry it in your pocket because it's exhaust is on the bottom, wireless connection keeps dropping randomly, not every adapter would work with that, xreal have a DRM limitation and you CANNOT cast netflix, hulu, prime, pretty much every streaming videos wirelessly. They say that they will bring it soon but when you ask them they don't give you a date. So probably that soon is actually a long time because they don't even know themselves. I ordered one but you need to know what you're actually buying.
There is a reason Apple did not do this way. Probably is crap
Apple has all the tech build in the glasses. Also they will charge you 10x the price of these.
Let's be honest with each other. Apple is a 0,5 kilos helmet. These are lightweight glasses.
