Guide to Scarlet's Starting Talents in Ravenswatch

- There's a lot of depth to Scarlet's talents in Ravenswatch (an action-RPG roguelike). I have a couple opinions about what's good contained in this video. Hopefully this helps, and let me know if there are other talents you'd like highlighted.

Highly informative video; I agree that Shadow Strikes is the best starting talent overall, but in my experience Distant Explosions is also highly effective.
The main reason reason I like DE is because it gives her wolf form some much-needed AoE damage and mobility, which makes chapter 1 far easier. The ranged attack on human form is nice too. I don't think Scarlet's early game is particularly strong, so it's nice to have the early boost.
That's interesting, my impression is that DE has the hardest time of the Scarlet talents in the early game. But whatever works for you

Hey, I'm making a comprehensive guide on Scarlet right now myself, and I thought you did a pretty good job with this video, but we are gonna disagree on some things... primarily thinking shadow strikes is the weakest talent, but for the reasons you mentioned. Thats neither here nor there, what I was wondering is if you could help me understand the math behind the talent evisceration. I've spent hours testing this perk and cannot figure out what makes it tick. The damage seems pretty straightforward to understand, but in real time I have watched this ability change the amount of damage it is doing without adding any debuffs or buffs to scarlet. If you have any insight I would really appreciate your help.

I'm actually not certain about how eviscerate works (I spent a long time playing around with Lep Coin, and kinda stalled out on deep diving other stuff). If you're in the discord, I'd recommend reaching out in the Scarlet character channel--there are a lot of really good players. I bet some of them would be about to give you pointers

I have a bug where girmoires dont spawn enemies inside so i just "fail" the event
Any solution?
Thanks for stopping in! I haven't seen that particular bug, but I took a look at the discord, and it sounds like someone was having issues with the witch spawning outside the grimoire area a coupe months ago (btw, this is a month late, sorry). If that sounds like what you were experiencing, the devs have been made aware: otherwise, might be a good idea to drop them a note via discord.

Adjustments:
🐦 ‘Savagery’ timer is now frozen during the Trait passive transformation
🐦 ‘Fan of Spikes’ will now only trigger when Scarlet is in combat
Transformation with ‘Shapeshifter’ Talent now grants an Intangibility window instead of an Invincibility window

Of course Shadow Strikes is the best Starting talent. Or I can say it's the best starting talent in Ravenswatc. Even better than Wish of Aladdin (because now it has been nerfed to 2 choices per wish) - we get 25% crit chance and 35% crit damage, that's insane.
Devourer is also good. I have played nightmare difficulty with this talent and it's not too bad. Once I got Murderous Intent (defense fills all combo points) and Energy (+2 combo points and 10% crit chance per combo), I can kill most of the enemies.
Shapeshifter is okay because it can heal 20% max HP each time we transform but I don't use it usually. because the HP orb from enemies when I kill them is enough and I have no problem when using human form.
Distant Explosions - shit talents, stay away from it
The raw numbers with Shadow Strikes are insane. With perfect RNG I think Aladdin is still top-tier, but Scarlet's more consistent (certainly my Scarlet compared to my Aladdin)
@@Frebr33ze with only 2 choices per wish, spend 150 dream sharks is really high price. Many time I saw only +5 vitality or +5 armor. That's bad.
