Hi Jason, thank you very much for the review. Sorry about that dust corn on the dials. The assembly crew has been informed to check the watches more carefully. Pascal is unfortunately very busy with the Wicked watch Delivery, so all his energy is there at the moment. We will improve that for sure!
I absolutely think more attention needs to be paid to QC. Mine had the movement/dial out of alignment, and when you unscrew the crown, it starts changing the date.
Now this is a watch! I have an original orange dial Seiko and this is a killer watch! Color dial. Awesome! This watch screams quality. Seestern really nailed it with this watch. Would really like to see a yellow dial version. I definitely would consider this watch for a future purchase. I love this design! Great movement too! More micro adjustments for the next version, please!
Jason, great review!
Cheers!
Great watch, enjoyed it on a couple of vacations already this year.
Looks amazing 💪
Lovely dial and caseback and the lumed day date is cool, not sure about the notches in the case, I can see what they are doing and it is bold so credit for that. My only gripe is 21mm lug width, I have lots of 18, 20 and 22mm straps of all colours and types, but no 21mm and suspect the same is true for many.
Looks really good (speck of dust on the dial not withstanding). I did notice that the 5 on the date seems to me misaligned; is that an issue with the date wheel?
It's gorgeous. If I didn't already have my Heimdallr red Monster, I'd definitely go for Seestern. Same slightly doomed sapphire on the Heimdallr and it's the same bracelet. The differences are the caseback, the shark on the Heimdallr and the wave on this. Also the crown is signed on this but not on the Heimdallr. Lume is great on the Heimdallr but no lumed date. I got my Heimdallr for €97 with discounts, during the March sale. But still I feel this Seestern watch is well worth the money because of the lumed date, signed crown, and the caseback is nicer on this.
Please do us and yourself a favour and let a watch maker check it for WR. Also please measure the OD (outer diameter) of the case back. Thanks a lot.
Thanks Jason for the review, I'm waiting for Heimdallr or Seestern to do a sunburst Orange Monster homage will get my Coin 😎
Looks fantastic, shame about the dust but at least that's an easy fix....the overall quality is superb....and the lume is definitely tip top....🏴⌚🏴⌚
I've seen that they have quality issues with water-resistant because of the case back not fitting properly. Maybe that's why you have dust on the dial.
I kept looking at the date where the "5" doesn't seem centered in the date window. Is it because the date is starting to change at around 10:15pm onwards? Please let me know if there are any QC issue with the Day/Date. Thanks!
This was starting to change and I havent had an issue with the day/date but there was an issue on the 62 mas which has now been fixed by seestern
Thanks for the great videos once again they really have some nice watches it's going to make it pretty hard with all the brands out there and I just have to thank you and The Watcher for my Heimdallr blue monster that I snagged on the last sale really appreciate you guys alot keep the content coming 👍
Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying the content! Zeb (The Watcher) is a solid guy too 👌
Received mine today. Very impressed in all areas other than the crown. It sticks out a long way in the second position and mine is very wobbly. Feels like it will break off.
Strange, could be a weak movement. Mine felt pretty good in fairness, definitely long though
Been really impressed with what seestern are offering at the moment. When I have cleared my backlog might have to grab one. Nice work as always 👍
That date doesn’t look aligned?
Hi jason, there is a new brand “Sea Knight” on alix and their only watch is a monster homage.
Cost about $110 , no reviews yet anywhere 😬👍🏻
Which one has better build quality, finishing, and lume ..... Heimdallr or Seestern?
I definitely like the Seestern's BGW9 style lume.
Yeah, would love a little comparison at the end of the video, even if just initial thoughts and not a side by side comparison
Sure, Jason. Leave the Seestern I’m most interested in until Friday. 😁 Look forward to your take on the 62MAS homage. Already saw it on The Watcher channel, but who’s going to listen to Zeb’s opinion over there 😉😁😉😁 heheh. Great job on the 2 Seestern’s so far. Definitely going to keep my eye on them around 11.11.
Hahaha, love watching Zeb mod watches to be fair 😂 If I'm honest, I've left it until last because it's my favourite of the 3! Fell in love with it first time I put it on
@@JasonTheWatchGuy Too true. Zeb’s a good guy. He’s been one of my go-to’s when I have questions about modding. Truth be told, I’m looking at using the Seestern 62MAS as a mod base. Already have a sweet dial in mind. I just hope Seestern develops a bracelet for it in time for the 11.11 sale. By the time I’m done with it, though, the watch is going to cost me as much as a San Martin! 😁😳😁
I'm thinking of asking them for a Mother Of Pearl version of the 62 mas, think that'd do me!
@@JasonTheWatchGuy Jason, you’re all about that MOP dial, eh? 😁 It really is a beautiful dial. I’m sure it’s even better in person.
I am haha! I go through phases like this where I'm obsessed with certain features
While a lovely watch with nice specs what makes this a harder sell for me is already owning a lovely monster - in the last Aliexpress sale I picked up a red dial Heimdallr monster.
So the question becomes how many monsters do I need in my collection? And are the specs THAT much better to pick this up and unload my Heimdallr?
Short term No ... still in the 'honeymoon' period of my Heimdallr ...longer term probably not there is not a HUGE upgrade on this over the Heimdallr. Unfortunately I don't think I need two in my collection. Now if someone else doesn't already own a Monster then this might be a consideration.
I do think that a 'Monster' is a lovely style of watch in any collection.
Completely agree with your point to be fair. Now, imagine it was titanium (another subscribers idea) think that'd move the needle
If I was you and your Heimdallr didn't have any qc issues, you're already a head of seestern.
Mine, the dial/movement wasn't placed in the watch correctly, making alignment problems. My other problem has to do with the stem, while you're unscrewing it, the date starts to move. The bezel absolutely has a good amount of back play.
Heimdallr red monster for me can't be beaten.
Wore it in the sun abroad this year & it is a truly gorgeous dial to be checked time & again.
Seestern are good, no doubt, but for the price, v1 Heimdallr reigns supreme pound for pound.
I have the Heimdallr red monster too, awesome dial, but the alignment between the bezel and the scallops on the case is very bad. As far as quality is concerned I think this Seestern is better.
Awesome review as always Jason! I’ve always liked the Monster but can’t justify paying the price they go for nowadays so something like this is perfect. That dial is really nice too 😍
Definitely with you on that, some of those prices really make me whince
That’s a Beast!
Would be nice in Titanium.
With all the monsters out there I really think they have to differentiate themselves from others - titanium would do this as would an upgraded movement and/or lumed bezel.
Great review Jason. Seestern is definitely making some very nice pieces. I like this one, the Doxa homage and 62mas homage too...please keep your reviews coming. Take care my friend 🙏👍👏
A Quality looking watch Jason..great review as always..love the chunky look and would definitely consider purchasing this Monster!!😅👍👍
Date out of line 🤪🤪🤪
Jason the monsters are no longer available as per rep.
Sad because the design was better than the original.
Gift me this one plz Jason.
You have to switch up your vocab a bit Jason. You use the word "really", which you pronounce "rarely", about 500 times per video
I take it that you have never been to Scotland a beautiful place with beautiful people
I think Jason should speak as he speaks, with his scouse accent, there are hundreds of different accents within the UK and I hope it always remains so, keep going Jason you're doing a great job...stay safe
I'll be honest pal, I've spoken like this for 27 years now and my pronunciation comes from my scouse accent, of which I'm very proud. Thank you for the feedback however it will probably not change how I speak 😁
That is horrid.
Really nicely made but i also noticed a bit of dust on the sub homage too. Need to clean up that assembly process. The lume is great!
Definitely if this isn't a one off occurance, can't be letting that slide! Definitely, love the lume date too
