Great catches and video! Dont think about looking weird talking to a camera around other boats. You aren't talking to a camera, your talking to thousands of fans haha!
Thanks! I do need to talk to the camera more when people are around. They will probably think I am crazy so it may encourage them to leave lol.
Kayak Catfish It might work! Give it a try man, do some irl trolling while trolling for catfish! That will go viral I bet lol!
I fished overnight last week from the bank - cut bluegill. Best fishing session I ever had. Caught 3 blues (40, 30, and 16 lbs), 3 flatheads (22, 20, and 11 bs) several channels as well. The bite was ridiculous. Had 2 doubles.
Way to go. You fish the area my family came from many years ago. I fish Lake Mead, AZ and am still trying to find large stripers. You have a great channel, keep it up.
Good video Great fish,I could tell you were having fun. I look forward to seeing your videos. Keep up the good work
Thanks! I do have a lot of fun out there. I appreciate you watching.
Awesome! Couldn't think of a better way to spend the night! :)
Thanks Scott! It sure beats sitting at the house doesn't it.
I enjoy watching ur videos I’m bout to get a kayak and can’t wait to do a bunch of fishing from it
That’s awesome Alex! Glad to hear you are getting a kayak. I hope you catch a bunch of big fish in it!
Nice video! Just got stationed in TN and plan on hunting down some of those monsters on my yak when I get familiar with the area
Thanks! Good luck to you when you get after them. Hope you catch some big ones.
HEY YOU powered by the PINK FLOYD shirt spending your TIME on the water with HIGH HOPES of landing some nice fish that makes you feel COMFORTABLY NUMB and feel no SORROW. ONE OF THESE days we’re gonna have to come down there and meet up , fish and HAVE A CIGAR. Justin, you’re the man. SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND.
Haha! Thanks! I’m not a Pink Floyd fan but somebody gave me a free shirt and I never turn down free clothes lol.
thx for the surprise fishing video. All i did was work on mine today. Love the video. Can't wait to see your next one sir.
Thanks! Hope you get back out there soon.
Iron Series Quantum BC1P w/ graphite, Fuji guides all that fun stuff I won in a bass tourney spring of '99. Went to the then new and second BPS for a matching reel-only spinning Quantums. A head Honcho from the Missouri store HIGHLY recommends a BPS Mega Cast 1000H series reel w/new magnetic stop adjustable system. After I bought it he told me it was from Quantum, the replaced some internals with higher quality ones, some signature screws and put their stamp on. Same green as yours and since most BPS equp I bought back in 2000 on sale were all high-end (Fuji guides were awesome and yelled quality if you checked them out.), saved a $. Still own all rods/reels except a few lost ones, and after over two-decades of huge gamefish. White Sturgeon below Bonneville dam hard game fishing. I swear by anything Whitewater from that era as they were they best, or repurposed the best and made it better. Even other supplies, lures, equipment was bought for parts or just re-branded or more. Now my reels pretty small, but's a fantastic flippin' stick and tossing 1/4 ounce spinners to the correct spot has never been easier. I can't for the life of me turn the adjustable magnetic knob off. I can do this on other models, newer ones specifcally for adjustments and but do not want to take this apart. Small reel-loads of small screws and parts I've spent $ replacing last re-lubrication. I think it was the first reel to have the adjustable magnetic anti-backlash system- I'd disengage it if I could open it!!! Any advice since I''m betting your holding the same reel just larger?
Sure wish I could catch one of those. Looks thrilling.....One day. Great video Justin.
Thanks! Hope you hook into one of them soon. They are a lot of fun.
Keep pumping out that fire brother!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks! I will sure try.
Great night Justin and so much fun to watch.
Thanks Tom!
Mr. Justin I love your videos I just watched you today 12/20/21 catch a really good blue on a 12 inch crappy. You are my favorite CZcams fishing channel it’s amazing, the Quality of fish you catch out of a kayak Love your channel and( go big Orange)
I guess that the striper is one fish I've not caught yet. They are definitely on my bucket list to catch.
Beautiful Fish Indeed
Thanks William! Hope you knock it off your bucket list soon. They are a ton of fun.
Your having too much Fun.Keep on FISHING friend and stay safe out on the water, love the videos you put out.
I get the same way around folks. When filming. Definitely understand.
Nice video..Never had the chance to fish for them..I love fishing for catfish.GOING to give it a try..Again great video
Thanks Tracy! I appreciate you watching.
Watch them "Trouble" Hooks!! Man, I'm glad you are using those grips. Fish On!!
Haha! Yes sir. I definitely don’t take chances with treble hooks.
he’s playing a dangerous game not putting that strap on his wrist lol great video tho
another awesome video Justin.. thanks for sharing.. thumbs up brother..
Thanks Michael! I appreciate you watching and hitting the thumbs up.
Nice job Justin! We pulled 7 out of Smith Mnt. Lake, VA yesterday. They are a blast!
Awesome...I fish SML and Lake Anna for Striper alot
Thanks! Congrats on your catches yesterday!
You guys ever fish Claytor? I fish sml a lot but I’ve never been on Lake Anna.
Love it! awesome footage of a great trip!
Thanks Carson! It was a fun night.
Look at you go! See there's a little Bill Dance and Roland Martin coming out. Of course neither one of them ever fished off a plastic sliver. Awesome video Justin
Thanks Tom! I would love to see Bill Dance and Roland do some kayak fishing. Hank Parker has a few kayak fishing videos that I have watched.
I wish the fishing was that good where I live. Awesome stuff man.
Thank you. I appreciate you watching.
Nice Stripers! Looked like a blast, loved hearing that drag RIP. Enjoyed seeing you doing some Stripper fishing. I'd say you need a better gear ratio to keep up with those monsters.
Thanks Tommy! I definitely need a better reel. I’ll break down and get one eventually.
Nice video you do the 2 things I love catfishing and kayaking at the same time keep it up and ik you weren’t catfishing but it’s just most recent vid
Thanks Daniel! I appreciate you watching and leaving the nice comment.
Love the videos. Such good advice. One of the best
Thanks Jonny!
Great vid.

Thanks James! I appreciate you watching. Glad you enjoy the videos.
Thank you more than you know I didn't know that. God bless. Good fishing, enjoy your channel very very much🤠
You are very welcome. Best of luck to you.
Love the videos I have 5 different bionic blades from 95-05 can't beat them for the money, still using 1310 &1420 quantum reels also I just can't retire them
They are great rods. Mine is from the late 90’s and still going strong.
Awesome fish Justin.
If you're looking for a faster retrieve I'd look into the new KastKing Speed Demon Pro reel @ 9.3:1
Would look good on that rod!
Thanks man!
Nice! Wish I had stripers that big close by. They're in the lake I fish but not that size. It gets too warm in summer and too low oxygen to support large stripers. They die off before they get any size to em. Love the vids as always bud.
Thanks! We are pretty fortunate here to have such a great striper fishery.
Any tips on where to look on our favorite lakes during the summer at nigh?....flats,channels, up in river etc.
Love your catfish videos. It amazes me everytime seeing how huge the fish are when reel them in. Do you ever hand out shirts for your CZcams channels?
Thanks Jacen! I am glad you enjoy the videos. I do have shirts available. There is a merchandise link the video description. Thank you for your interest.
I'm just getting into kayak fishing and have been following your videos for helpful hints and suggestions. From Iowa an been fishing the Des Moines river and Skunk river.
What a blast!! Nice video.
Thanks for watching!
Looks like a lot of fun.
It’s a blast. Thanks for watching!
Awesome video. It looked like a couple of the were three to four foot long just judging from the width of the yak. I need to try some of that. I have never done any stripper fishing. Have caught a few small ones but never with just after strippers. That would be some great fun
Thanks Samuel! They are a blast. Give it a shot sometime. You won't regret it.
Hey Justin. Love your videos. What section of the Tennessee River System would you recommend for night striper fishing?
Dude that looks like a blast!
It is man. They are a hard fighting fish. Thanks for watching!
Yea I think I would like trolling ,over casting. Great video !
Great video The men are taking my 11 year old twin boys out in a week or so camping at Cumberland Point. Hope they can caught a big enough one to make a memory that makes them want to go back again and again. .... . I have caught a 36 inch stripper on Lake Cumberland a few years back at night. That was really fun.
Those ac action certified are the best. I use the ac shiners
They are great baits
Awesome Striper man...I love striper fishing
Thanks! I love catching them too. They are a lot of fun.
Man that looks like a ton of fun!
Its an absolute blast man.
Cool video as always. You do it all!
Thanks!
Stars and Stripes . Love the nite action.
Thanks! I love fishing at night but the poor lighting makes filming difficult.
That’s great action. Had some days like that on Cherokee. Not as big of fish though.
That's a heck of a night congrats
Thanks James!
Awesome video! Really wanna try night fishing. Is that white light that you flick on when you catch a fish powered by your battery? Do you set up your kayak differently for night fishing than you would during the day? Another great video!
Thanks! I have a separate battery for the light. Keeps everything in a compact package by having the battery attached to my light pole. l don't do anything different to my kayak for night fishing other than having the lights on it.
Love the striper video and night fishing. May need to try for big cats at night in the shallows. Tight lines my friend.
Have you ever tried adding a weight before your leader to get that plug deeper? Or do you just switch lures? If so, how did it work out? Just bought a couple of these and was curious
Thats what I'm talking about!!! that's awesome man!
Thanks Eric!
Those lures are timeless
They sure are. I’ll probably still be using them 30 years from now.
Now that looked like a lot of fun.
Thanks! It was a fun night.
You can get a lews American hero in a 7 to 1 for 50 bucks. Good reels. I use them for trolling. So much faster then those old 5 to 1 catfish reeels I had
great striper action dont seethem like that where i live anymore great videos
Awesome video. I'm struggling finding that 12" AC plug in that pattern. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Be safe.
That was awesome bro.
What kind of structure and depth do you normally target when goin after striper? Also, have you ever gotten one of those pigs mounted? Awesome video as always!
Thanks! I generally hit main channel ledges, points, and bars. Basically the same places I would look for catfish. The depth varies. Sometimes you will find them right up near the surface and other times they will be hugging bottom. I am constantly switching out baits to hit different depths until I locate them.
I would love to catch a big 'ol catfish like you do but big stripers look breath taking.
They certainly are an amazing fish.
Awesome video. I just bought my first Kayak. Looking forward to doing some night trolling for Stripers. Looks like a great time. Which color of the AC Plug do you like the best? What might be the place to purchase?
I bought mine directly from the maker of AC plugs. I only have the black and white color plugs
Just curious what lure you was using.I found some I think they was density priced
That looks like you had some fun
It was a blast.
Do you use any running lights. Kansas requires both front and rear if you have a motor and only a rear 360 view light if no motor on a kayak.
I do have some clip on running lights for when I am using the motor after dark.
I know this is an old video but one of my favorite I was just wondering are you going with the current against or both ?
I usually troll plugs when there isn’t any current
Awesome fish man! I’m looking into taking a trip somewhere with my kayak. I’m in the piedmont of NC and was wondering where you launch your kayak at or what lake/river you fish?
Thanks! I spend the bulk of my time on Watts Bar and Fort Loudon reservoirs of the Tennessee river.
Where in nc are you?
New to your adventure, awesome fishing. What is the yak your using.
Thank you for watching! I have a Hobie Outback kayak.
That looked Awsome way to go
Thanks Wayne!
That's another great video bud! Where can I get those plugs ? I bet muskey hit those plugs also. Again awesome video love seeing you go after stripers changing things up nice
Thanks Scottie! I haven't caught a muskey on one yet but it is just a matter of time. I got them on the ac plug website.
www.acplugs.com/ Just ordered a bass kit from them
Katfish??? LOL I don't care. Just love the joy you get from
catchin Fish!!! Power on Brother!
Thank's For The Content!!
Thanks Warren! I mix it up every now and again. If I was better at striper fishing, I would do it a lot more often.
Hey could u show me how u tie the knots for ur hooks and stuff?
Gotta love that haha ha laugh 😂
Thank you for watching!
I'd love to see some more videos of striper fishing with artificials!!
Original AC Plug, what colors do you like? Great video.
Love to here that drag sing.
What is the best way to set drag ? 🐠
My reels only have about 12lbs of max drag so I just keep them locked down.
Love those stripes!
Me too!
Dang that looks fun!!
Its a blast! I hope you give it a try sometime.
Nice stripers bud! Watching your videos makes me super jealous
Thanks! I appreciate you watching.
Not 1 bad fish mighty fine dang video...
Thanks Les! It was a good night.
What depts do you mainly fish when trolling on the river do you like to keep more towards the bank or in the middle of the river
I usually hit depths from the surface down to about 20 feet. I keep trying different depths until I find them. I am always fishing structure. I never just troll randomly in the middle of the river.
ive caught strippers like that a night using top water poppers and on chunks of cut bait here on NC, hella fight and a rush!! once you get 1, you're hooked, amazing video as always brother...the 8:00 part had me laughing, "if im luck enough" id say you have all the luck sir lol
Yea me to what size and what kind of hooks do You use..
There's a big difference between "replacing equipment that ain't broke" & upgrading to a more efficient tool to do the job better.
Great videos man I love watching them. I know how the pleasure boaters can be we run in to them a lot this time of year its rough especially since your in a yak, anyway yeah just stated a channel myself we catfish a lot in NC doing just about everything, fishing many different places I figured I mind as well film and start my own channel. Once I get it established good you should check it out maybe we can learn some things from each other, I already have from you I'm going to try that knocker rig!
Thanks! Good luck with your channel.
Just awesome!
Thanks Randy!
I love these striper videos. Keep the striper videos coming!! What was the water temp on this trip?
Thanks! Water temp was 68 when I filmed this video.
Thanks for the quick reply!. Keep those striper videos coming!
Is there any advice you can give to target striper while using cut bait through your experiences or is just roll of the dice weather its gonna be a cat or a striper?
Roll of the dice in my experience but I have found the farther up river I go, the more stripers I tend to get on cut bait.
Could you do a video of tour light set up and hook up?
I have an old video of my light setup but I have made some changes since then. I will try to do an updated video on it at some point in the near future.
Kayak Catfish that would be awesome to see how you got tour set up
Killing it!
Thanks!
Please do more videos like these
I plan on it
Wow. What a night. Great video. How deep will that plug go??
Thanks! I generally run mine on a short line and keep it just under the surface. By letting more line out and/or adding a trolling sinker, you can reach any depth you want to fish.
Did you troll down river at all? Trying to dial this in on a similar body of water, but tends to have a bit more current.
I have trolled with the current and had success but our current flow is usually around 0.5 to 1mph
I have a ?. Since you put the electric motor on your Yak. Did you have it registered eith the state?
Yes
Any advice for doing what your doing but with paddle kayak
You can do the same thing with a paddle kayak. It is just a little more difficult. The main thing is being able to maintain your speed for long periods of time. Sometimes it can take awhile to locate them.
About how deep were you running those lures? Great bideo
Thanks Timmy! I was catching them 4-6 feet deep that night.
What kind of trolling motor you using? Bow or stern mount?
That was awesome
Thanks Casey!
great video
Thanks Michael!
Where did you launch your kayak it may be worth the trip up there
Haha! It would probably be worth it to a lot of people to make the trip up here which is why I’m not going to post the gps coordinates for the launch. Hard to fish in a place crowded with people.
