The hardest part about duaa that no one talks about is believing it will happen when you see no sign for months and years. Having faith in utter darkness
I feel you, but maybe it's because sometimes we make dua for something new, but at the same time we remain stuck with something that it's like our "comfort zone". When we make dua we should be ready to receive His guidance and then make our efforts, even if this means to abandon something old. Let's not give up , only non believers despair on the help of Allah Ta'ala. وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِى عَنِّى فَإِنِّى قَرِيبٌ ۖ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ ٱلدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ ۖ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لِى وَلْيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِى لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ (Surah Baqara 186)
Allah answers the duas in 3 different ways. Firstly, he gets what he asked for. Secondly, he is rewarded for it in the afterlife (Akhirah). Thirdly, it is used to fend off a calamity that was going to befall him. To say allah has not answered your duas you are lyin for Allah has and dont ask for ajything in this dunyah rather ask for the akhira as it is far greater for you and surely your lord knows best and that domethings are to be and ithers are not to be. Why? Because Allah knows best and knows ehat is good for you and what isnt. You want soemthint? Then ask Allah for it but if you do not gwt that thing remember it does not matter for it is far better for you to not have it as Allah willed it that way. I’ve been making dua for months for this specific thing but even though I don’t see any results yet, I remember that Allah SWT is the one who guided me to make the dua and that he has all ready written it for me and it’s just a matter of time before it happens.
