Just purchased my first Onewheel. Using your tips I managed to find one in my area on the Facebook marketplace that had less than a mile of use with a OEM fender, no scratches or damage for $200 less than new. (more if you include the tax I would have had to pay) While I really wanted an XR your tip on if the right deal comes along grab it worked out really well an I am a proud owner of a Pint which gets me started and allows me learn with my 10 year old son. Only 5 miles into it so far, loving every minute. I know I will eventually feel the need to get an XR but this gets me out riding this weekend. Thanks for your videos, keep 'em coming
One thing to note is also if they dont have the power cord its HIGHLY likely they are stolen more so when they are around or less than half of new price, i saw a few tried to scam older versions passed off as the new ones to unsuspecting people. I got a xr with less than 80 miles for 1500 and when all others used were going for no less than 16-1700, a bit of searching can find you a deal but that takes time.

@@freshlychargedsearched all places like fb,letgo,craigs,ebay etc for a while finally just checked craigs randomly and it was listed higher just called an said this is what i got if you it works cool if not no worries no need to bs back an forth met up later that day done deal. came with brand new pads but i dont really use them.

I just spent the next couple of minutes looking up how to get and care for hissers. I actually used a few of them in a music video I produced a few years ago. Now I want a couple!
This was the video that inspired me to go check the used market for my OneWheel entry. The discontinued OneWheel Plus...large enough to support my weight and big feet (Pint a bit too small), 130 Wh battery for air travel allowance, and the right HW version (3206) for an easy EGO battery extender setup to get closer to that XR range. Came in at a pretty good time!
This helped me get my ninebot max. i bought it for 300 the seller was very nice and used it for deliveries. he originally wanted 350 but gave it to me for 300 knowing i actually was not trying to flip it. all it needs is tires and a new grip after adjusting the brakes tightening everything up its solid im just waiting on tires. The side note is that it has 5k miles on it. Dont mind seeing as people ask 500 for dead ones here in nyc.

I have a couple questions for you, How many miles is too many for a used XR? Also would you ever consider buying a used Onewheel off Ebay? Obviously you can't go through a checklist well this way. I live in Hawaii (BTW I used to work for the shark tour company you went out with) and there is is not a huge market for used Onewheels. I've been watching a lot of youtube the last couple weeks and am frothing to get one now. Ive watched a lot of your videos. BTW I got to jump on an XR for the first time yesterday and am 100% in need on getting my own ASAP. Thanks for the encouragement and the great content!

Jimmy Chang Whenever I decide to bust out the camera rig!! With the cold and the holidays I’ve been distancing myself from filming my rides, choosing to get from A to B instead. Coasting by and putting a few clips on the insta story is easier, but less rewarding.

nice vid, looking to buy a pint in my area that popped up for 600 in my area with charger, extra fenders and has 813 miles on it. i know to look for water damage just because i fix electronics for a local retro store but is 600 too low or too good to be true?
Great videos and advice! I will eventually be buying another onewheel for the wife and the checklist is greatly appreciated. We decided to get a Super73 first though as an option to allow me to do a long commute to work. I feel that I will be a little safer and able to maintain a faster speed for a commute on an eBike. Jimmy - I ordered a S1 Black. They gave me a pretty good discount since they are a veteran owned company. I needed the extra range compared to the other models. I was also researching juiced bikes 🚲 that are cheaper and look awesome, but have been pretty set on the Super73 for a while now.

Found a new one on eBay for $1050 think that was the best deal I was gonna find sick of waiting for a used one can’t wait anymore . I ride euc now hope I like the onewheel
Hi Jimmy, I am waiting for an used board to come in. How did you register or sync up more than one board with the same app? Or is it just that easy? I do not have two boards to try but wanna to prepare ahead
Super easy on the app. Suprents.com has a great sale on some lightly used boards.
Goinig to buy a used pint, but the guy does't have the pin to connect to OW, how do you go about connecting the board to the app?
This is kind of an old vid so not sure if you'll reply, but I'll ask anyway. I found a OW+ for sale through a rental company that's been pretty heavily used (>500 miles, lots of dings/scratches). The biggest thing I'm concerned about is the tire. It looks pretty shredded & beat up but I know these things can go for a loooong time before needing tire replacements. However, they're selling board for only $800 with free shipping and it comes with a fender preinstalled. On the other hand, there's no good deals remotely close to me and after I smack some rail guards, float plates, and any other accessories on it I think it'll look good as new. Looking to spend under $1,000 if I can which is why I was just considering a Pint with a fender. Thoughts?
500 seems like a lot of miles for that price. If probably get a Point over a heavily used Plus at that price.
I bought my OW+ for 750. It has 3500miles of range, but just got a CB+ Chi battery upgrade about 300 miles ago. It also came with a C&R magnetic fender and a 3d printed handle. Let me know if I got ripped off or not because I know that the battery alone is $600. Sensor was new as well as rear footpad! Only visible wear is the aluminum body but that doesn’t matter does it
Hey Jimmy I found an XR for 850, and it has 272 miles on it. The wood on the front foot pads is damaged, and missing a bolt, but functional he says. Just wondering how many miles these things can go, and if you think that's a good deal. Pictures show the wood damage, and it doesn't look horrible. I was wondering if I could message you the add some how, so you could give me your expert opinion?

What’s considered a lot of miles? I found an xr on marketplace with 450 miles.
Would you say a onewheel pint with small crack on the removable over the wheel fender, fang nosedive wheels, supercharger and home charger, and some new unused side guards……it’s in pretty rough shape/a whole bunch of scratches and about 557 miles be worth $500? It’s really scratched up… just think under a super used “normal” skateparks skateboard.. that scratched
I am looking at buying a used XR while I wait for over a month on my Pint order. The one I see is about a year old with 175 miles. It has hardware 4208 which lots of people on Reddit complained had Bluetooth issues that were fixed with a new Bluetooth chip on 4209. Should I stay away from it because of this?

Is 300 miles on a board too many miles? Or how many miles is considered “high mileage”?
I'd consider 300 as a low mileage board
Used one wheel in NY isnt realistic most if all are selling their one wheel plus or one wheel xr in that $800 range and over. I think going used is a good idea but at those rates save a little more go BRAND NEW! OBVIOUSLY IF YOU SEE ONE IN THAT 400 OR LESS THEN BUY!!!!🤪👍
Bruh maybe for the + but the xr retails 1800 so 800 for a lightly used xr would be fire

It's a Pro-Tec helmet. It was actually thrown in with wrist guards, elbow and knee pads when I bought my XR.
Looking to buy a used onewheel but the guy said he found it on the side of the highway and he has no charger is this a bad idea??

for your first OW buying one with slightly higher miles say 1000 or more might be a great way to go so you can get it for less money and put your learning scrapes on an already "used" board then once your riding skills improve you can buy a mint board and add protection and it will stay looking nice for a long time! I buy lots of Qnewheels and I've seen 3 mile Pints that look like they were thrown over the Grand Canyon twice and I just bought a 200 mile XR from a highly experienced girl rider and it looks like it's fresh ot ouf the box (she was really cute too) ! Keep looking it took me 4 months to buy my first OW and I've been flipping motorcycles for decades the market for Onewheels is growing fast so in a few years there will be a lot more used inventory to buy

Guy seems legit but I am still skeptical. Have downloaded your pdf and will be carefully inspecting board. Any other advice for me. Have never even touched a onewheel btw. The sellers footpads looks kinda worn, but he is saying he's had railguards on since the purchase and it'll come with the onewheel black plastic fendor. Asking $1750...

I paid $900. Under 70 miles, great condition except for some grip tape issues. Brand new it would have been $1300 plus tax so I saved over $400 and got some sweet Float Plates thrown in. Price is dependent on the mileage, condition, and location. We need a Kelly Blue Book for Onewheels ;)

Will the onewheel app tell me previous information about a board or does it just start tracking after I first connect? Such as mileage on the board.
It will have an odometer to tell you the lifetime mileage.

Some of this info seems to be useless at this time. FB does not allow saving searches in Marketplace. And there's none for sale in the entirety of Craigslist, so that doesn't look good.

What is considered decent mileage on a used one wheel?
I guess it's all relative. Some people ride hard and some just cruise. There's a big difference between a few hundred hard miles vs a few hundred cruising miles. My XR had 300 miles when I got it, the first Plus had 100 miles, and the most recent plus had less than 70. If properly cared for, I wouldn't mind getting a Onewheel with 500 miles on it.

Dude take a breather and see what else is out there for less, you'd be surprised what you will find. I am not selling you on what I ride for $1100.00 on my channel but hopefully by that time you may see something else that offers you safety, better range, speed and PRICE $$$$. Which in the end puts more money back in your pocket 😎👍

Well first off I wanna say I like your channel 😎👍!
Next I can tell you the Bird is lighter than my L5+ so you may want to stick with that. As far as off roading it looks to me like you got It in the 1W buddy. My Ecoreco L5 Plus is heavy and cumbersome like perhaps the 1W when carrying it. Only difference perhaps is that if my scooter runs out of power I can push and walk with it like a bicycle. Ecoreco does make a lighter version called the M5 and they also make other versions but of course like you I jumped with their most recent upgrade and for the Range, Safety Quality and Price I am glad I made the move😁👌. My scooter is built like a Mac Truck hardly any plastics and tires are tubeless but the shocks make up for that bump feeling. I dont off road with mine. I wont even ride it through puddles sand dirt or rain, so as you can guess I baby my investment. As for the 1W ?, no doubt it seems like fun and durable. But with a 1800 price tag for hands free ? , I think nothing wrong with first seeing what else is out there on the market for less. So far I am seeing the knockoffs of the 1W. Not the same quality perhaps but they are coming. So what I tell myself is YES I would like a 1W like everyone else but I shop smart not emotional. Eventually the 1W will come down in price perhaps a reasonable 900-1100? But i can wager that by the time that happens suddenly there will be something else more fun and amazing that will make you feel glad you waited😀👍👍!!! Look at the tire the 1W offers you when buying (no tread) and look at the maintenance involved when that flat comes along with costs for replacement? This is how I always shop when looking at something for commuting or just having fun. You have a viable channel on CZcams so your making money with the one wheel 🤑🤙...hang loose👍

I'm looking at buying a used XR. The seller says he "bought it from a friend" and that it has 148 miles on it. It comes with original charger. Is the fact that he bought from a friend any cause for concern?
does he have the original box? I have a used onewheel that had 2 previous owners. no problem, but I'd find out why he is selling it with so few miles.
remember there are 4 basic human personality types and only one of them keeps boxes (35% of the USA are this type) so not having the orig box is not really much of a deciding factor unless you want to collect NIB OW's ! see "www.colorcode.com" for the free personality test its made me multi thousands in buying and selling and will only help your family and love life ! Wish I learned about color codes when I was a kid .l ALso I rarely really care why people are selling stuff in fact I'm glad they are because I want the deal but it may be a fun question to ask! OW's are high value items and in any economy especially todays economy people need cash and they often need to sell things they really love to pay the rent or for their kids expenses
What does your wife say when you tell her you are buying another Onewheel?
I asked her on my birthday so that made it easier. It's also easier when I tell her I'm using money made from my website to make the purchase.

@@freshlycharged look at Evolve instead Jimmy. I've never tried one, but I researched evolve and onewheel a lot and went with onewheel. I'd say (based on my research) Evolve is the best off-road 4-wheel e-skate for the money.
Maybe some day I'll try one and buy one

And also do that while I was going fast already to add MORE speed ✅ this Techniqueit WORKS AWESOME NOW!!!🔥🙌 that I have FALLEN and adjusted my movements just right to gun the board into hyper speed at will !!! Because I’m trying to be as FAST and EFFICIENT as possible on my WAY LONG ..,/for a Onewheel \...commute of 20 miles per-work-trip’s ✅ I use the Onewheel app to map out where I can go through back allies,small paved 0r UN-pave little trails and what not, and do as many grinds,bonk’s,skid slides as possible 👍 to make my trip to work as fun as possible..lol but when I watch someone like YOU for instance... nothing.... just going a top speed of maybe 10mph full gear on , being as vanilla as possible 🤦♂️That would drive me frick’n CRAZY!!! You are SO AFRAID OF FALLING 😂😆🤣 with all that safety gear and top speed of 10mph it’s to much for me to watch sometimes man, but your Commentary’s are ok so I watch many for that !
