Hi Guys! Sorry about the momentary freeze near the end while we're talking! We could re-upload but think it might best to just leave it now its up there. Thanks so much for watching! Ben, Emily and Alan XXX
I admit, I hit refresh a few times during that. đ€Ł
@@DetroitMicroSound đ So sorry! đ
How about a BEaN and EMmental fimo badge, on the back of a narrow boat. :) Kind-o works, but we all know Ben is the Cheesy one.
Lol I thought it was my wifi or something. Don't think it matters at all.
@@BenandEmily Thinking back, it's pure comedy. đ
If everyone was like you two, the world would be a better place.
Hello, i'm 77 and I have never been airborne, I have a morbid fear of heights. Yet, at 17 I worked on deep sea trawlers, and have experienced many gale force storms at sea. Lovely channel, thank you both.
People go check out Benny's music page it's full of hidden gems the man's got old school talent great listen
Iâm totally and absolutely scared of heights⊠but I was a commercial pilot. Donât compare looking over a stairwell or down a structure like the Eiffel Tower with flying. The two are different.
Awesome job crossing the aqueduct, Emily!
Congratulations Emily. You're a CZcams hero. Conquering your fears. You go girl!
Emily sure put in a honest days work crossing that waterway. The way she stepped into harness when Ben hurt his back speaks to her character, she's a keeper,You both are!
Great work Emily taking the boat over the aqueduct!!! You did great. Absolutely love the bike. Most practical bike I have seen anyone have on the canal.. Enjoy, what a marvelous gift. Alan looked impressed by itâŠ.until the helmet perch was mentioned! Great vlog. Thanks for sharing. đđ€đ Kathy
My parents spent about 20 years on the canal in 58 foot boat called Tamarack that was there first boat they used to take three dogs and two cats on board whenever you want I found your channel and now I am playing catch up You guys follow the same route all my parents use. Thank you for doing what you do
Another wonderful video covering your journey along the canals, in amongst the hills and forests. The 3 of you bring great joy. Beautiful photography, beautiful music, and Alan striking a pose, all wonderful.
We hadn't finished watching the video when I requested the CD. So yes, I'm very happy to hear that it will soon be available. Thank you.
I don't think you can make your episodes any better perfection
After a stressful and chaotic week so glad to relax with you 2
Well done Emily on conquering your fears on the aqueduct! How about you doing some Alan themed mini models like your pet veg models? Keep up the lovely and highly enjoyable vlogs!!!
We were very impressed seeing Ben ride his new Himiway bike along the tow pathâŠit dealt effortlessly with the thick greasy gloop. You must be so pleased to have this now.
Great you steered the boat across the highest aqueduct in the world. Love the bike. Insurance on the bike might be a good thing. Good that Ben got to see his son.
Merch ideas: Graphically busy sweaters, distinctive hats, and funky scarves.
I don't know why but banjo music reminds me of the TV show Bagpuss.
Great video. Well done Emily for conquering your fears and steering over the aqueduct. Take care. Nick
I understand your fear of heights. What helped in this situation is that you were in control of the boat. It makes a huge difference. Side note did you know a large percentage of airline pilots are afraid of heights.
I was cabin crew and scared of heights đ
Evening guys, lovely video as always. Saturday nightsđ wouldn't be the same without you both now. I'm glad that you had a loverly Christmas. I think the reason your channel is so successful is because you come across as genuinely nice people, and your videos are very well done. Already looking forward to next week's update on your adventures. Don't drop any phones int canal in the meantime đđđ.
Emily well done to you its so nice to see you smile.
The swans are all dressed up and know were to go bummer. Happy Trails you 3
Guys are encouraging me keep the dream how cosy those lights look from outside đlovely
Well done Emily going over the aqueduct on your own âïžđđč
Maybe the merch could be a design which looks like those vintage American camp t-shirts which have a design of a tent, lake, mountains and trees etc but instead with the boat, a canal bridge, Alan, and some guitars/banjos etc.
What a beautiful team you two make. Congrats on the lovely e-bike.
That bike is awesome! I remember seeing Benny a couple of times over the summer pedalling furiously to get back to the van. I bet you fight over who gets the job now! đ
Congratulations on overcoming that fear, Emily!!!
Hello Ben and Emily from a new subscriber đ I've almost watched all your vlogs and love, love, love your channel. Both of you have smiles that warm the heart - you're such a lovely couple! As for that Alan...total scene stealer đ! I'm in the process of selling my flat to live my narrowboat dream as a solo 54 year young continuous cruiser and have learned much from watching you guys!. I can wait to get on the water. Huge hug from me and Moo the cockapoo who also loves the channel! Tracy đ
Thanks so much! đ All the best with your boating adventure â€ïž
@@BenandEmily thank you! đ
Hi Emily Iâm 60 have been suffering from Agoraphobia and panic attacks all my life , I also have a morbid fear of heights and do everything and more to avoid it you did a brave deed going over that bridge âTwice â I must say I had to turn my head away when camera went down the side showing the height.I ve not been on a plane since they had B.O.A.C written on side and had propellers
Excellent drone shots. The aqueduct was amazing - you did so well Emily. Congratulations! Love this channel so much.
Thank you so much!!
After the last 2 videos , it was nice to have a rest from all the crazy weather and Drama . Great video shots as you calmly cruised over the viaduct . The Giant Bike looks great for cycling along the Muddy Tow paths. Though you really need to be living on a Widebeam to store it , on board . If you have it on the roof , and it catches on a bridge . I think the Bridge will come off worse ! đ
Iâd love to see some merch with Dave and Alan onđ Dave is ace! â€
Just love you two so much! †such fun and funny vlogsđ. Absolutely beautiful countryside you are cruising through. Congratulations Emily on enjoying the journey over the aqueduct, that was amazing! And Iâm so happy for the new changes coming to your channel. Iâm def interested in Bennyâs music to download. Have a great weekđŸhello to Alan too.
Awww Emily we so proud of you you did wonderful give your self a well earned đhope you both ok Happy 2023 purrs to Allan the oldies đđđ€đ€đ€
âIâm doing this!â We were cheering you on Emily. And then laughing all over again at the sheer madness of us crossing the aqueduct in stupidly high winds đ. That bike looks awesome, and a lot more towpath friendly than our little folding bike! Is storage on the boat a problem? Thanks for another wonderful vlog đ
Aww thank you! Yes the bike is much bigger than our folding bike!
Cartoonist images of the two leggers and the four legged! Or just the cat. Benny, you should do a song every episode to promote your music!!
Another fabulous vlog. You 3 are great and some of the things Benny says make me chuckle. Watching a 2 films, one with each eye made me laugh out loud! You were so brave Emily, steering the boat over the aqueduct while Benny filmed by drone was an amazing achievement. Congratulations on your success that means youâre going to set up patrion, I look forward to seeing your merchandise and I hope your C.D. is VERY successful. Take care you 3, I love your channel. xxxxx
I donât think thereâs Anybody else in the World as Happy as Benny. Boaters Cheese đđ
What a great adventure. Youâll always have these memories.
Congratulations on your growing channel! Following your adventure is lots of fun.
Thanks so much! đ
Wow, look at you two! I started following you when you had around 1,000 subscribers now youâre up to 13,000+. Well done, you deserve it, great channel and love the music Bingo! P.s. great aquaducting Emily! Said Iâd buy you a coffee when I caught up with all your vlogs. EnjoyâŠ..
Thanks so much, yes our channel has grown quicker than we could have expected đ thanks so much for being part of our journey â€ïž
@@BenandEmily Iâve signed up to your Patreon btw, hope it goes well. Just donât lose yourselves along the way, itâs you two as you are that people are buying into. Take care.
Greetings from Alabama, found your channel about a week ago. Benâs music is great đ. Emily will conquer her fear of heights. You both make a great couple. That bike đ ought to help out a lot getting to your car đ and shopping.
Well done Emily, mastered the heights đ Poor Benny, so glad you felt better for Xmas đ. Love the three of you, such great adventures together đ
Omg, love the thought of merchandise. Canât wait to see it. Whatever you decide to sell, would be fantastic xx
Sooooo Peaceful!
Thank you Sooo much!
Tees with the cat and Shakespeare quotes, I love your channel!
So proud of you Emily! Maybe you saw that weird garden earlier before you went over the aqueduct the first time, lol. Iâm very jealous of your bike!!!
Farewell from my part of the world. I will miss your trip up the Llangollen canal. Many years ago, the Llangollen canal, was closed all winter, and the water used to be gin clear in the winter. Even, during the summer, the locks would be closed after 7pm. I've really loved watching the videos of your trip, and loved Ben's music.
Well done Emily! I am scared of heights and of flying. I have never been out of the UK in my life for that reason. As far as the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is concerned, its been 30 years since we had our boat and we are now too old to be able to cope with the locks but in the 3 times we went across, I always did it the cowards way... sat inside the boat and did not come out until we were across it :-) So you were a lot braver than I was. Bennys drone shot was amazing to see looking down on your boat. I think it was the fact that on the one side there is nothing but relatively thin metal then a big drop that did it for me.
Really enjoyable episode again. Thanks. Have to say Emily, you look really good with your hair up! Suits youđ
Lovely video as always guys! The incorporation of the drone shots is done so well! Love it x
Thanks so much guys! đ„°
Canât wait for a CD, defo in the Merch!! đâ„ïžđ
Emily you are awesome... I'm also really scared of heights. Really weird for a former mountain climber. Here in Michigan is a bridge called the Mighty Mac...(Mackinac) which terrifies the daylights out of me. The inner 2 lanes are nothing but steel grates which means you can see through the bridge to the big cargo ships about 90 meters below. Needles to say I have to have a driver pilot my vehicles across that bugger. Lol
if you put a chunk of ASPEN (wood) on your fire, it smolders, it will clean your chimney for you. thanks for shearing your lives with us, it brings much joy.
lol Emily, My first and 3rd were musicians. Just nod and and say wow, cool ... their creative brains run umuck at all times.
A beer cooler would be a great promotional idea
Just be careful of ice Sean on Foxes Afloat came ace over tip on an ice patch so watch where you are going hate to think of you guys getting hurt plus you dont want to scratch the new gift. JOKING of course i watch you both every video great to see you overcome your fear of heights i pilot planes but dont like getting to near to edges and looking down Stay safe and stay healthy Ed 40S of VegasXXXX
Whoop all exciting news re merch etc đđđŒ a keyring with Alan's face on one side and the words happy travels on the other be good one đ
I am the same as you Emily about heights, but ok if i have something to hold on too like a rail or something solid. I could never be a potholer either, my heart was in my mouth for days when those children got stuck in those caves due to flooding. Over three hundred men / people it took to get them out safe Bless them all.
Well done Emily đyou did it đđœđ„ glad Ben has recovered đđœ like the bike - what a game changer bicycle đ”đ»
Now I canât undo the image in my head of Alan in a bikini đ đ đthanks guys. Wow busy busy times ahead- your brand and music happy for you both đđ€
Hello from the states. I just discovered the existence of narrowboats via Exploring Alternatives and have had fun learning about it and following yours and others adventures. Thanks for sharing! All the best.
Itâs a bit faster than the ladybird đźđđâ€
Winter hoodies with some of those crazy patterns Bennie wears in up to 3 XL sizes đŹ
As always enjoy your video. I was talking to a small plane pilot years ago. The subject was air sickness. He said he knew several pilots that were just fine flying the plane but if they were passengers they got sick. Maybe steering the boat gave you the feeling of being in control. Warmed to -12C here and an inche of fresh snow. Have fun.
Hooray for the bike! How amazing!
Really love your channel & the music is also great. âĄ
Some of your great clothes Benny would make some fab merchandise đ
I love Saturdays and watching you 3 x
Gongoozlers. What a great word. đ
ALMOST 15 K subs.... Keep up the fine work...your audio is very well done...
Hi, Ben & Emily. Wonderful series of videos, going through all of them. The one where you were servicing the engine, brought back a memory of my first attempt at servicing the family car. It was in 1966, I was 19, and the car was a Wolseley 16/60. I got to the point of fitting a new oil filter, I unscrewed the housing, removed the old filter and fitted the new one. I sat in the car and started the engine, the oil pressure gauge did not move. I switched of the engine, stepped out of the car in time to see about 6 pints of Duckhams finest engine oil running down the drive. My dad was not impressed, and my mates ribbed me for months afterwards. I had forgotten to fit the new sealing ring in the bell housingâŠđ€Šđđ. Love your life style. Tom.
Great as always and look forward to the merch and album.
Good on you girl! That looked terrifying đł. Love the narrow boat lifestyle but those aqueduct bridges turn my blood cold.
New subscriber, what a way to live on a narrow boat! God bless yâall abundantly!
Brilliant vid great adventure and am looking forward to getting a cd of bens music for me and my frenchie to listen to have a great week
What a great adventure narrow boating across the British country side.
well done gettingbetter with heights and keep the videos coming x
Hi Ben looked at the merch last night I love music so will be getting album on vinyl ,listened to the latest album on CZcams thought it was brilliant đđŒ
Another great episode guys!
Merch wise you could do mugs with a print of your logo or you both on the boat etc... or like Heidi the pirate do some badges... Benny could do badges for his music also.
Benny, could you relay any upcoming gigs along the way as I would love to come and see you perform sometime. I'm in Cornwall but do go up north once and awhile to see family in the Northwest.
All the best and happy adventures â€â€â€
Thanks for the idea : ) I will try and get the word out about gigs, I post updates on my instagram also..
Hello, I would love a cape with Alan cat on it please. đ And a Ben and Emily hat as yours are always cool. I am not cool but would love it if you made a cool hat that even a middle aged grey lady can wearâŠđ
Talk about facing your fears ... WELL DONE EMILY đ„łđ
Thank you! âșïž
6:00 did you find the windlass I dropped in the top lock a couple of months ago?? I thought we were just going to have to live there until someone else came along, but then remembered our rental boat had spares stashed in the well deck. Whew! That was a beautiful area for our first narrowboat experience, though. As soon as they get a couple of things fixed on the boat we're buying, we'll be on the loose on the canals, so watch out! Especially if my husband is steering! đ
Well done Emily. First for fear. Second for fun!
Great to hear you've put the album together guys, it's terrific!
Try and stay away from the usual merch stuff. How about an "Alan" draft excluder? Could even be wearing the 60's groovy hat that you share? (Cool as!).
Great suggestion! đ How can we make this happen!?!
@@BenandEmily There's a couple of options.... 1. As Donald Trump would say (in his best orange accent) - CHINA! or 2. Speak to a friendly Nana who will happily knit them.
Tbh, there are plenty of small cottage industry crafters who would take this type of thing on and if the product is unique enough the pricing issue diminishes.
Ya nice one defo put ya Album on as Merch some of the tracks are top cheers have a Top week keep warm and big up Alan in her house đđžđ„đșâïž
Lol đ definitely an Alan cape đ but love your Alan t shirt would love one of those đ

Exciting updates, love you two and Alan, and well done Emily going over the aqueduct
Thanks so much Ian!
Great job on soloing the aqueduct Emily. Seeing Ben working the lift bridges reminded me of the closing credits of Chigley (or was it campbellwick Green?).
Another great video, you light up our Saturday nights. All the best
Looking forward to the CD coming out.
