Could this be the easiest transmission tunnel ever made? 🙌

- Now that we have the x brace mocked up we're ready to weld the transmission tunnel in. We didn't go the traditional way and make it rounded like most people do. We simplified it and it looks so good 🙌😍

There are so many hours of work that go on with these cars that people never see.
Hey Chad I'm 66 yrs old and I welded my first 2 Pcs. of steel together. Everything I learned I got from watching your show. Thank you. George S.
Was it a dog turd weld like Sad Chad's?
Nice to see Chad and Doug joking around. Work hard and have fun. Jolene, great work with everything you do behind the scenes. I would like to see an episode where you all 3 are welding!
Chad, Jolene and Doug, You're making progress on the construction and installation the Transmission Tunnel /Center Console Panels . it's very enjoyable to watch 2 great friends like Chad and Doug working together and having fun bantering back and forth
Psst get a life!! ASAP
chad, you are going to get a big surprise, when you try to put brake peddle assembly in the car
You're going to get a big surprise when you learn that it is a brake "pedal".
Brakes?he don't need no stinking brakes!!it's yard art.
Boy wear is the seat going in the trunk !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂
On the roof

Watching at the cabin before I have a nap
Jolene is good with that camera !
Wow she has talent. Lmaooooo.
That's not all she's good with 😉😉
Live and unedited, absolute PRO!!👌🏻💫🥇😉
I'm ready to see the body come off and get the frame boxed in.
I think he should have tacked the pieces he made in place so that they will be precisely where they need to be when they take the body off.
Engineers would have a feild day down here in Aus with that car lol
Engineers??? Don't get me started!! LOL!!!🤣😂😅😛
It's ALMOST as nice as the yellow pinto
You know how you can tell if someone is an engineer? they'll tell you.about 40-50 times.
@@billbonu1639 best reply i've heard in a long time
@@billbonu1639...ha ha ha ha
Looking good, that little welder sounds sweet.
Thanks for sharing with us today.
Tunnel looks really good
Keep up the good work Chad and Jolene!
Dont worry, people... Chad is planning on boxing and reinforcing the frame. I think he would use 1/4 or 3/8 thick steel to box and reinforce the frame. Also some ladder bars or in order for this build once the rear end is swapped out. Some heavy plates to help hold the motor too. Just my opinion.
Martin Brothers just cant compete with his metal fab!!! lol
This has been a blast to watch! Cant wait to see the finished product!
Great teamwork for this task.
GREAT JOB WELL DONE BEAUTY
Nice to have someone like Doug who knows exactly what Chad is doing
Great job thanks guys and girl
One should always have a reason for what you say or do!
A quote from Chad (the reason being is)🙂
That 460 will twist the chassis like a pretzel. The orignial factory X-brace was there for a reason and was designed for a motor with a fraction of the torque of the supercharged monster. The fabricated X-brace needs to be a lot more substantial.
Car looking fantastic. Way to go Team Hiltz. Love following the build
Gday guys, love ya work and the humble "can do" approach..brilliant👌👍👍

Helicopter flying over looking Chad's crazy weed 😂
Chad has a good feel for form ...this one looks good .. digging the Cubist interior
this work is outstanding.....hahaha....jokes..and the reason why you didnt round it off,is because you cant.
Would have looked nicer with a little rounded tunnel, after all he does have a roller in the shop so no reason why not.
Happy Thursday Bad Chad Nation we make a difference
Jolene your camera skills are so good it's like I'm there. Excellent girl. Ontario fan
Just a Thurs Hi out to everyone! looking kool Guys!
So far, it looks like the reinforced body will be holding the weakened frame together!
Great camera work!
Nice 👍
She's looking great and so is the car
Looking good 😁 🪓 👍
Console is looking good guys…. Hearing a lot of negative comments! Everyone has an opinion however Chad you shouldn’t have to explain every time you do something. Most of us know you always do the right things in the end. Great work Jolene.👍🇨🇦
Am really enjoying and learning what's going on with this build.... Nice!
You do it your way bad chad
Was late and missed live, catching up now 😊
Hello ,Chad, Jolene, and the gang,
Love the show, watch it everyday and feel like im there with you all of you at times.
I think that before you take body off the chasis, ( or after i suppose), you should consider removing the inside of the cowl, down by the fenders, to match the shape of the fenders, to make room for the headers. I hope this made sense.
It's just that if you don't your headers are gonna be a nightmare to make fit.
My 2 cents, I'm sure that whatever you come up with will work out, as it always does.
Take care all of you.
I came for the Doug show
grat show as always
It’s coming together nicely. Will there be some sort of insulation in the firewall? Rock wool or something like that.

U think that square stock is strong enough? When u did ur 1st weld. It was wobbling back and forth. Like it's too long and not enough support. But oh well.

Good evening Jolene and chad
Bad Chad, the squaretube ninja...🥷🥷
GOOD JOB BOYS! AND JOLENE
What gauge sheet metal do you normally use? I am getting ready to do some metal work on my 71 GMC windshield pinch weld and want to make sure I use the correct stuff. I know you have mentioned it in other episodes but can’t seem to find what you said.
Chad usually uses 18 gauge, but the louvered trunk lid on the green Coupe was 20 gauge. Many older cars used 19 gauge new sheet metal, its an American gauge and harder to find in Canada. Personally, 20 gauge is to thin, too my liking.
Chad just a thought. You could inset the top panel down 3/4 inch and the have a place to put a nice piece of mahogany and have a beautiful would grain console
Great job Chaddy, beautiful fabricating.
Great video by jolene and the trans tunnel came out real nice ppl leaving comments about how the car will never be finished and never run wish they wouldnt bother watching if it upsets them so much
jeg elsker at se din opbygning af biler, det er godt håndværk
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Chad, looks great plus fast with Doug’s help. Awesome. That’s a two day job for me. Thanks for the video Jolene.
CHAD COULD USE SOME KNEE PADS HE WILL NOT REGRET IT
Chad knows what he's doing so relax and wait until he's done . And you will see how amazing his work is.
Hahaha, Douglas is a crackup.
💥💥🛠️
That ride will be a true rumble ride if that engine is up to snuff when he gets it finished with all the metal he has thru on and in it .not that it's a bad thing I can just imagine setting inside it with out carpet or sound deadening materials an the engines at higher rpm's
👍👍👍
Chad I love watching you fabricate😅 your my hero for real man
😊
👌
