This is why I’ll probably never do a custom shower pan. Very expensive to do it the right way. This will leak. Better off going with a oatey shower pan because you have a lip anyway. Also in future just use pex plug to plug the tub spout there is no need for a spout with no tub. Also at least solder the pex fiting to go from copper to pex. I’ve used shark bites for shower valves but honestly probably won’t again unless there is an access panel behind shower. Looks good but grout and caulk don’t hold showers together forever
You shouldn’t put the cement board in with the mortar it will wick water up the walls. Instead build the pan and leave 1/4 between the mortar and cement board.
No aquabar or any waterproofing this shower wont last long at all I'm the owner of custom tile stone and decor in chino ca I only hot mop and float my showers
Niceeeeee but you’ll be doing that job again because you didn’t waterproof. Trust me water gets in the slightest crack sometimes even if you waterproof. The waterproofing just prevents extreme damage.
No water proofing the cement board? I see the lining for the pan floor but nothing on the walls?

what was the reason for not waterproofing?

No water proofing and the liner is behind the durock instead of over it. This will eventually have issues. Good for quick flip I guess.
will take into consideration 👍🏼
literally was expecting another coat of water membrane over the plasterboarded wall.
The small pieces of tile on top look weird
He used Sharkbite fittings with PEX when he transitioned from copper to PEX!😂😂😂😂😂 and no waterproofing 😂!
You could have kept the tub during remodeling, if your gonna install a valve WITH the tub spout.
customer’s request!!
No tape in the seams
