Not just this song, but this whole album brought Judas Priest back to life in the 90's
This is the best metal album EVER. Very few albums since this by any band in any genre of metal has even come close to how brutally perfect this album is. EVERY song is genius, every solo a Masterpiece, and Halford's lyrics are EPIC. The only albums that come close are ones by Judas Priest themselves. JUDAS PRIEST ARE METAL!!!
Lock the doors, put the children to bed, chain up the dog, unload all of the weapons in the house and only then should you push PLAY on this song!!!

I just saw these guys in concert. They Were the best out of the three bands! This was my favorite song they played! Loved them!

One of the best things I like about painkiller, is that after 5 minutes, when it sounds like the song is going to end right there, another out of the world solo comes along and just gets you higher than you thought possible.
If metal was a country this would be the national anthem 🤘

When I was about 16 my little sister pushed the play button on my CD player. The CD with this song on it was in the player. I also had the volume knob almost all the way up. My mom was in the room with us. Boy was she mad. She screemed turn that down. She grew up listing to late 50's music. She also swore at us.

I saw this tour as a kid in Houston, Tx.at the summit...Megadeth was the opening act...this show blew me away!!! What happened to all these great tours when metal met metal???

Well, I saw and heard this tour. And it was top shelf. Not sure how old Halford was in 1990 or so, but his voice was absolutely perfect with many many super high points. A true journeyman in the vocal realm of music alot of us wish were still here. And then I found out he licks swords. Ah fuck, I really didnt need that visual, but what a voice!
