i think Viktor Tsoi the way he described it is just getting through the hardships of life and knowing that you will lose a part of your old self as you face these dire challenges where you know you cant fully comprehend.
I listened to it recently. It hits just as strongly now especially with what is happening all around the world and especially in Eastern Europe as it did before .. By the way, it's delivery is very fatalistic, and you are right it makes it more powerful.
Blood Type was the song that really got my into Kino, and songs like Calm Night and A Star Called the Sun kept me hooked.
For a year now I've had two colleges at work who are both Ukrainian, and they instantly recognised Kino when I had it playing, they really touched the entire Russian speaking world and beyond.
Same deal here, Gruppa Krovi threw me right into the Kino hole.
I wish there were more reactions to Kino. Thank you so much for your great response and understanding.
This song is certainly difficult to translate from Russian. She is full of images. But if you want, I can try to parse into meanings.
Well, we weren't cut off from the world. At least I didn't feel that way. In the USSR, there were many of their outstanding works, which I hope you have yet to get acquainted with. We listened to almost any world music. It was difficult with good equipment. Everyone wanted Japanese sound equipment)) But we were not cut off from the world culturally.
Victor Tsoi is definitely irreplaceable, Kino could never get another singer like him. He was a treasure, and it's heartbreaking that he died so young. And this song, it's incredible the amount of influence this song and this band had on the peoples of the dissolving soviet union.
Plus, how much Victor Tsoi and Kino are still immensely popular in both the older generation who grew up in the soviet union, and the younger generation who were born after the soviet union. A great example of this is in 2018 when a couple of the players of Metallica were touring, went to Russia, and surprised the audience by singing this song. When the song played, it was immediately recognized and everyone cheered and sung with them. It's an extremely powerful video and I suggest it highly

It was very hard to me understand what this song is about. In it's literal meaning this is a song about a war and a soldier who just doesn't want to die on the battlefield. But you'll get of it's meaning if you listen other songs on the album it came. The High Star in the sky is a high goal, the dream this young guy tries to reach. Unpulled trigger and a sunny day in dreams is a metaphor for a missed opportunity. This young guy wants to reach his great dream and is afraid to miss an opportunity, that's why he lives behind his love and starts this great and risky struggle. He is ready to make sacrifices but he doesn't want to hurt others on his journey. This song can be a song about war (and many sing it with this in mind) but in more wider meaning this is a song about starting a big journey towards your ideal - career, personal, artistic or otherwise.

Нет, это вовсе не о солдате, и не о войне. По крайней мере не о войне, в традиционном понимании смысла этого слова.
Многих путают такие слова как «группа крови» и «не нажатый курок».
Песни В. Цоя полны неопределенности. И поэтому, каждый видит в них нечто свое.
Солдат и война, наиболее неподходящая, и глупейшая интерпретация, заложенного в песне смысла.
Нашивку с группой крови, никогда не крепят к конечности, которой боец может лишиться.
В данном случае, «группа крови», это просто кровь. Эфемерное обозначение, некой цены, выплаченной за достижение цели.
«Не нажатый во время курок», это упущенная возможность.
А «не остаться в этой траве», просто обозначение того, что нужно идти до конца, и приложить все силы для того, чтоб не оказаться выброшенным на обочину жизни.
А как насчет «мягкое кресло, клечатый плед»? Таких вещей нет в нашей армии. В есть жесткий табурет, на котором даже сидеть нельзя. Он нужен лишь для того, чтоб ложась спать, сложить на него воинскую форму. Укутывание пледом в таких условиях, и вовсе звучит абсурдом.
Но как я и говорил, песни данного исполнителя славятся тем, что в них, каждый видит нечто свое.
Если вам интересно, послушайте песню «легенда» (Кино - Легенда). Там именно о воинах. И невозможно воспринимать ее иначе.
«Легенда», песня о осознании кошмаров творившихся во время боя. О моральном и физическом опустошении, и о переживаниях бойцов, переживших этот бой.

Человеку живущему в другой стране наверняка трудно уловить суть.
Но вот один факт. Эта песня впервые прозвучала в фильме «игла» 1988г. Фильм о наркотиках, о том как главный герой, пытается избавить от зависимости девушку. О его противостоянии бандитам, распространяющим наркотики.
В этом контексте, «группа крови на рукаве», уже кажется следом от шприца. «Не нажатый во время курок», не оказанное во время противодействие бандитам.
Совсем другой смысл, верно? 😉.

That song meaning is the same as "Calm night" you listened before - I would like to stay with you in cozy armchair (go to sleep) but there are things to be done outside (an eternal battle) and the star in the sky (something higher than our comfort) is calling me into the "battle" so wish me luck.

This is definitely not a call to war. It is, in a sense, a description of the inner world of a soldier. War has been an integral part of our lives throughout history, and at all times, many people become soldiers willingly or unwillingly. And for each soldier, there is something very personal and specific in their perception of the world.

Kino's songs are popular even not to rock fans; methinks, 3 of 5 russians can play them with acoustic guitars. Just give a guitar to anyone and ask to play.

The original story was casual: Viktor asked his friend weared in military scirt "what is the badge on your chest?". It'a "blood group code". The Viktor fell into art to arrange the theme, using different heroic lirycs. And it was while Afghanistan war, it was disturbing everyone's thougts and emotions.

But the fact is that the song is not about aggression "I don't want to put my foot on anyone's chest" (as the aggressor does). This is not necessarily about a literal battle, a war. The battle can be within you, there is a righteous war of the spirit, and not according to the flesh. Tsoi is not a singer of military songs. He sang about something else. About the inner world. Therefore, this video could mislead you.

Viktor didn't write this song as a military anthem as it's shown in the video. This is someone's imagination. All military things described in the song are metaphorical definitions of the hardships we face in everyday life. This is actually a well known fact, I'm just giving an idea, but they're memories of the people who witnessed the time when the song was being created.
it's a shame to see some kino's songs getting blacked listed in Russia just because they don't fit with Putin's regime :(

I'd prefer to see live show instead of somebody's videos according to theyr vision of the theme. It might be false.
I never agreed with the direct interpretation of this song as a simple war or anti war or political song. There could be a different interpretation of this song. I imagine Viktor as kinda "Free spirit sent from above fighting for our souls". So if you put it this way you get this: "Warm cozy place but there on the streets there our footprints awaited for" - it is easy to live an usual average life but you have to expand spiritually. "Stardusted boots" - we are all kinda cosmic spirits , we have probably a long history coming from different planets and worlds from previous lifes so we have to remember who we are. "Trigger untouched when it was the right time" - when you are young there is a certain period where you decide to be "usual" or decide to be a free spirit. If you decide to be usual and materialistic you are like killing something inside. If you are not doing this then "trigger is untouched" and you stay a free spirit. This may seem exaggerated but Viktor is talking about this aspect in many of his songs. For example in some other song he sings about "killing the night" which he explains rightaway as "going to sleep" (the song "Game" from the album "Night") and also the context and meaning of the song "calm night" fits here: the ones that are not sleeping are saved but the ones who are sleeping are ... just sleeping ;) "My bloodtype" - maybe there are different kinds of those free spirits. "My ordinary number" - there are many of such spirits and everyone is taking a part in something bigger. Also when you read further you will find indications about some kind of "cosmic guidation": "high star in the sky is calling" - what is this kind of a star? Viktor is singing about this star also in many other of his songs and by the context you get the impression that this is some kind of spirit or cosmic or spiritual guidation. But definitely not some "flair star". For example: "In the sky above us a star is shining, no one except it is able to help us!" - i think its prety clear! The name of this song btw is just "Star", it is from the "black album". Viktor insisted in his interviews that his songs are not about politics or something like that.

Видео ряд не соотвствует оригиналу и мировоззрению исполнителя. Это грубое подделывание смысла песни под интересы власти страны, в которой Цой не жил даже. Он жил в СССР а не в России. И вряд ли бы поддерживал её агрессивную политику
Наверное бывший военный? Потому что в США только они более менее понимают русских. У них шире кругозор с ними проще найти контакт.

Нет в песне не об этом поется, то о чем ты говоришь, это буквальные слова текста песни. А в действительности, Все строки это метафоры. А не прямое толкование слов и словосочетаний.

К сожалению автор канала, выбрал глупейшее видео, наложенное на замечательную песню. И это ввело его в заблуждение.
Желающие разобраться в смысле песни, просто обязаны посмотреть фильм «игла» 1988г.
Именно там впервые прозвучала данная песня.
Фильм про наркотики. И «группа крови», всего лишь указание на след от шприца.
«Не нажатый вовремя курок», не оказанное своевременно противодействие, бандитам распространяющим наркотики.
«Мягкое кресло и клечатый плед», символизирует уютный мирок, в котором наркоманы прячутся от реальности.
«Не остаться в этой траве», соскочить с иглы, и не скатиться на обочину жизни.
И так далее…
Чем занимается плавный герой? Старается избавить от зависимости девушку. Попутно пересекаясь с бандитами.
Но фильм, вовсе не боевик. Основа в нем общение. Тексты. И многие расхватали на цитаты.
А война и солдаты, всего лишь, наиболее традиционное, и к сожалению самое глупое объяснение смысла песни. От людей не понимающих как писал тексты В. Цой.
Он кстати, и сыграл главную роль в данном фильме.
Сама песня звучит в самом конце, перед финальными титрами. Когда ему втыкают нож в живот, но он находит в себе силы подняться и продолжить путь.
Отличная песня. Но какой-же кринж видеть эти говноклипы, которые убивают половину эстетики песен Цоя.
