To all nissan owners out there save some money and listen up 1)check ur key battery first if low replace key battery ($6) clean the inside if necessary. 2)check ur car battery and connections if low replace car battery ($50-$150). 3)if steps 1 and 2 fail chk for smart key reception antenna in my 17 sentra is located in the back of the trunk between the speakers chk if it is properly connected (mine was broken because i pushed a huge luggage far back inside the truck ,safe some money.
Okay so I sent my car to Infiniti and had this problem along with a chassis control error. What was wrong was the TCM chip inside had blown internally. My fuses were good but the damaged chip causes all these errors to occur. You have to send the car to the dealership. It cost me $335.85 to get it replaced at the dealership.

I’m sure someone already mentioned it but the standard shift is normal. You pull pall and to the left drops gear and allows you to manually shift up and down

No the problem has not been fixed cause the problem still exists withe security key light remains on with lane departure, crash rear indicators stay on and my blind spot feature tur s off after a few seconds when car is running and the car only starts on nuetral gear, it won't start on (P) Park.

Do u have any mods or are u tuned?….if so valet mode may b a reason or u need a transmission flush…happened to me twice and each time it was one of those 2 reasons
Well I most recently had this problem and the car literally stopped. And was not even starting or going in neutral it turns out the my gear/linkage was hanging by a thread and had to be replaced onto of that I had to get a new keys reprogramed

Many owners don’t know this but your Q50 has a second battery, in the trunk!
Just change it and the problem will be solved…..

Had the same problem yesterday I changed the battery on the key and I jumped started it. Q50s hybrid
try the neutral safty switch on your transmission the lever connected to the switch has shifted position.

You're supposed to be able to unlock the shift manually. There should be a little cap near the shifter. Open that and use your key or a screwdriver
