Quando is one of my absolute favorite artists. He blew up really young like YB did and YB signed him in 2018 when he was 17. They’re both music phenoms born in the projects from broken homes, have lived thru horrendous abuse and neglect and had no family…...basically, they were given every opportunity to fail in life.
Quando was actually born addicted to crack bc his mom chose to use thru the pregnancy…. obviously. His mother continued to use after he was born and father beat his mother so badly that they both lost custody and he got shoved into the living hell that is the foster care system. He went In and out foster situations and he got adopted for a little but that ended so he ended up getting taken in by the the 60s at age 10 or 11…..and ironically, they were the family and stability that he had been deprived of…..it just so happens to be a gng. So, he obviously got into trouble and went into the juvenile detention system. He wrote a lot of songs in his cell…… when he was free, he started doing these kinda acapella videos and making beats using his knuckles on a car. From there, he started blowing up and YB linked with him and they were instantly family, despite being opposing sets. I think they see each other in themselves. Quando was being pursued by a lot of big names but he knew what he had with the NBA fam was very special so he signed with him. From there, they started churning out music. It’s crazy, They both work at such a high rate it’s incredible….. it’s second nature to them….it just pours out of them…:they can spit the most poignant lyrics…metaphors and similes and rhyme schemes off the top but to see them in an promotional interview setting it kinda looks like they’re in their principal’s office. They look like they’re being tortured 😂barely speak and have difficulty articulating themselves and when they do, it’s slow and exaggerated. Asshles make fun of him for sounding stupid….but Quando and YB are anything but. When Q gets on a mic, he does more than just articulate himself, he’s more eloquent than I could ever be and Ive written thousands of papers and have 2 bachelors. He sings and raps and has so many flows that are technically proficient and diverse. They’re both so special but I do gravitate towards Q more. Their childhoods were rife with tragedy but sometimes the most beautiful music comes from pain. He’s versatile too. He can do Gangster, r and b, achingly beautiful, soulful, painful, poppy……he does it all.
Unfortunately he’s going through a lot of pain right now…..it’s concerning. He’s obviously depressed But he’s still working so that’s good. Hopefully he can release some of his pain through music.
This was just an general overview what makes him so unique. I’m sure there are a lot of life story videos.

like ive said before, quando is just at talented and skilled as youngboy, even youngboys said that. The difference between them is that yb got blackballed from the industry once he was already on top, and quando got blackballed while he was still on the rise, so he never reached that level of stardom that he deserves.
I disagree slightly with what u said bout YB, but for the most part I can agree and understand where ya coming from. For Quando that is absolutely true! Quando is up there with YB he just got done dirty more which is unfortunate. Quando mad underrated 💯
I love both but I actually prefer Q to Yb. I wholeheartedly believe that they’re both musical phenoms born in the projects.
I think Quando is better then Youngboy because he puts more passion in his music but both are talented asf tho and 2 young goat's 🐐
