There's a fine line between love and obsession. Love doesn't hurt and obsession can but sometimes people lose their minds over love and go too far. He didn't need to hug the ex and even admitted he wished they hadn't broken up. Who wouldn't be jealous? She went too far shouting and telling him what to do, no one wants a crazy woman, she should have just calmed down and talk it out. She drove him away, men only want relaxation and comfort from their women, they don't like to be screamed at. When you act like a banshee so much you drive someone away

I don't know if she had a trauma from some past experiences with family or some type of relationship, but it may have led to a mental health issue that isn't able to see. She probably needs to see a therapist to get past the hurt.
