The vessel Vaquita sailed to New Caledonia from Australia with the 2023 Go East Yacht Rally. After an exciting departure from Southport and a reasonably comfortable few days at sea, things quickly took a turn for the worse. After spending 35 hours on a parachute anchor 450Nm off the coast of Australia whilst making temporary repairs, Vaquita limped her way into Noumea.
