I feel like spellcraft spells are kinda weird nowadays. At the start, they were just simple one turn one target buffs. Now, you have a battlecry trigger that's either super busted or unplayable, you have a weird AoE health buff that can turn permanent, you have a permanent buff that's untargeted and synergizes with tagern buffs, etc. It feels likr Naga is in a bizarre spot in terms of class identity. That said, it's fun to play
and never better :)
I don't think I've won so consistently w/ Naga since their tavern 3 Siren days. They're crazy right now!

I did AFKay and Crooner line yesterday got second because it disconnected mid tavern during the last turn so I only had 6 creatures on board and nothing to intercept the bramble witches.
For the thing you were talking about trying to rationalise your thought process not only to the audience but to yourself when you're making decisions, it's really interesting that you've reflected upon that. An intriguing fact from psychological research is that we often act intuitively before we even know ourselves why we've decided upon our choice, so when we're asked to explain our choices or reflect upon them, it's more often that we consciously try to explain to ourselves the unconscious choices we make. A really interesting case experiment that explored this concept is that of the "split-brain patients" in which researchers removed the corpus callosum (the brain organ responsible for the communication between the hemispheres; the procedure was done previously to counteract severe epilepsy), and in studies with those people, they found that the hemispheres had separate consciousnesses and when one hemisphere was given a task, e.g, pick one thing that matches the picture you were given, for example a shovel to match a snow scene, where the other side of the brain was shown a picture of manure. The hemisphere that represented the consciousness that was speaking argued that it picked the shovel because it had to use it to scoop manure, while the other hemisphere actually picked it to shovel snow. The vocal hemisphere tried to reason itself to an answer for why it had acted a certain way even though that reason did not match up to the other hemisphere's actions, in essence proving that we automatically justify our own actions even though we might not always know why we had done so. Our intuition and unconscious decisions are often the first and best choice we make, but i think it's always good to reflect upon why we have chosen so, which it seems like you're good at.
This has been a long comment, but i find this topic endlessly interesting so i hope you found something interesting within it yourself. I highly recommend reading more into split-brain patient experiments, because it radically shifted the way i thought of my own actions. And if i still have your attention, i just wanted to say that i love your videos ❤️
100% agreed on it being a fascinating subject. My own background has led to me challenging this many times when lecturing classes in my past life.
It's easy to get a rhythm of "this makes sense from the limited view of where I am currently in the convo", but with a larger perspective it loses value or even becomes invalid. Though to other people it is immediately clear, as they aren't at the same point in logic that you are. They're typically looking at things from a varied and wider perspective. This is especially true when you're zeroing in on very specific circumstances instead of broad concepts in prolonged explanations.
If I can't make sense to a large group of people, then there is probably a problem with either my perspective or my approach in the explanation and that's time to step back and reflect. :) Or just change the subject to something lighter on Twitch, lol.

@@bofur I'm not very good at this myself, but i suspect that the ability to reflect upon your unconscious choices are a very important aspect of being good at skills that require conscious reflection upon actions and their best possible outcomes such as hearthstone or other similar games that require picking between options that dynamically change depending upon your current situation (one other good example is baalorlord who is one of the best slay the spire players). It's really good that you respect your viewer's perspective and why they might be different from your own when viewing the current game state, but i also think that It's not a coincidence that you're among the best players in the world. Your ability to reflect and consider your perspective (the game state) is really unique and incredible, so keep up the good work and especially keep up your lovely attitude, because you're at the top of your game in that aspect as well ❤️

Are Mutanis and Jandice not hero power reroll options right now? Both feel like good ways to make use of a Felboar that's overstayed its welcome, but you ignored the spell multiple times.
It's not that they're not possible, they're just improbable. And gold is still very valuable. Taking a ~5-10% chance for a big hp change is often not worth the gold.

Love duos for fun. I think it's difficult to make content from, though, as it's hard to dialog and communicate at the same time. And info flickering on stream back/forth is a tough viewer experience.
I'm still working on finding ways to improve it from that side though. I'm not giving up yet.

Bofur can you start listing the music from your videos again? I tried to look through your Spotify playlists but didn't find whatever you play on these and you always have the best chill music. You are great at finding good new chill tunes
the truth is I don't even know what the title is for some of these tracks. I've used Epidemic records licensed stuff for a bit, but it's a huge playlist and not really identifiable via Shazam or similar products. At the same time they're not all listed on Spotify/CZcams/ITunes either, so it's a problem on both fronts. You can't find them and you can't really access them even if you did find them, unless you have a specific license to get to them.

@@bofur well, I quickly found a CZcams channel that might be them. Maybe it isn't there are a lot of different entities using the name. But even if it's not them the music is real similar and the same kind of vibe so either way it lead me to good music

It's stil worse than just using lava lurker, the random stats across the board makes it difficult to just sell the weak cards for tech, also you need a tavern 5 card to start permanently scaling while lava lurker is tavern 2. you can perma shield it as well, I don't see any scenario where it's better than lava lurker unless you somehow got it before the lava lurker.
i mean its not...
1) You can stack multiple spellcrafts on the same unit.
2) You can multiply the stack x2, x3, x4... with each addition copy of multipliers (like shellemental)
3) You only have to spend gold for 1 total.
4) Your board is waaaaaay more flexible and can afford any combo of flex cards.
Lava lurker is weak scaling and only snapshots once, which means it doesn't even make the final board in 90% of these games.
Anyone count the amount of Times He Said "snapshot"?
