I actually don't mind your style of uploading content. I mean, we're all working and doing life. So, it's refreshing to see a CZcams channel that feels like my life; kinda haphazard, sometimes lazy, sporadically busy, but, still enjoying the wins along the way. Congrats on 💯k subs!
Yessss More ASL content! Its come a long way since watching you talk about it in your own garage. So excited to see you get this car absolutely dialed in!
Shut up
CAN bus is pretty easy to implement, just add an RS232 to CAN converter and hook it up to the UART output on the STM.
Don't forget to make use of DMA because it makes everything so much easier.
Love the technical info! The more the better!
Congratulations on your well deserved 100k subscribers!
Love all ASL content. Congrats on 100K
Great video...looking forward to more in depth video on how you developed this and how you want to develop this further...amazing vehicle overall. Keep up the hard work!!
yay new video!!! congrats on 100k 😇
I really think the shifter interface could be made much cleaner. I've pondered about this for a long time because I have a T5, but on that CD009 with the external shift rail it should be much easier. Really you've got a "barrel" and "throw" action, it should be possible to automate the barrel using a servo motor (not hobby servo, a proper servo motor) and handle the throw with either an actuator or pneumatics. Back in the day a team used parts from an Aston T56 to make a computer controlled shifter for a paraplegic racer in the Mustang series. I know you're married to the CD009, but a T56 with those Aston electronic shift components could be a nice alternative.
Hey hey. Thanks for sharing the info on the shifter development. I would really enjoy leaning more about it.
Congrats on 100k
Congrats! 🥳 100K 🎉
100K. Good on ya. 🇨🇦
Sent here by Adriel, cool stuff here man 🔥
Daddy's back 🤩
Are you going to have a video on your stationary “synthetic dyno”. I have spent months trying to wrap my head around that. Thanks for the content.
Congratulations on 100k.🎊👏👏
Yep Mom is ‘someone’ who saw it and delighted to inform everyone 😉
where the f*** have the videos been ! glad you're back lmao
This spot is one of my favorites.
Kid gets into it and figured it out.
If you don't throw some paint on that exposed metal shifter by next update I will fly to Canada with a can of steel-it and do it myself! lol ;) Awesome stuff guys, way to keep progressing and congrats on 100K!!!
How u tested the project car on dragy?
That's honestly very quick. Considering that you are using relays with the ULN drivers and an STM32. Well done
Yes a new video. what took you so long.
This is wild. The amount you are able to accomplish with just a few guys.
Those cars dead on the lifts waiting for parts/authorization etc are a killer. Projects like that are tough and don't pay as well as one would think.
How did this system hold up after use? Any luck getting the automated shifter to work?
Cant wait for the exterior build always loved that digital sketch in the intro. Wouldnt you also not gain better aerodynamics?
Can you share data of that board ? I need to make one for my gearbox
besides price/wanting to do it yourself.
have you guys considered a e9x m3/f8x m dct trans and ecumasters black? i believe people use that ecu platform to tune+control the shifts for the dct trans.
Maxx ecu is the main one for dct gearbox. Ecu master at the moment you still need a standalone controller (couple available), where the maxx will keep the transmission ecu happy. Would be much cleaner simpler setup for sure than this.
@@garyhowe88 ah ok i think i may have mixed the two up. Im looking in my searches and i see maxx ecu on a s85 dct car.
Consider the MCT trans? As much as you have put into this maybe it could have gone towards developing the faster transmission. Love everything you do though! Very inspiring for me
Maybe you should consider 8HP gearbox and standalone controller for this eg. TCU from TurboLamik in Poland? Three is a lot of video's about this controller. Also GCU controller from HTG company is very popular now.
too heavy for a race car. and why buy controller when you can make one
@@kize32 but when something is popular on the market and checked by users, I think its faseter to buy one, and also its more reliable than controller you have to design by yourself. Of course develiping things by yourself is more fun and you can learn more, but if you need fast and reliable gear changes its better to youse something which is known on the market.
@@pitucha1234 shipping from poland to canada would take how long? 2 months?
@@kize32 no, ZF 8HP weighs less than 100kg
Are we getting a w126 video soon?
Do you plan to release a tutorial, so we can retrofit this to other cars?
When the piston project continues?
Would you guys ever consider a manual swap for the m275?
I'm pretty sure he is working on a m275 manual swap
killer
When will the hoonicorn challenge you? This vs that…
Congrats on 100k The paddle shifter as a engineering exercise is pretty cool. Seems completely unnecessary for this project given the broad torque range and power. You only have to shift a couple times per lap. For me the simpler you can make a race car the better, less weight and more seat time.
Cool project👍,but why didn't you guys consider swaping a DCT trans.
Would a dual clutch auto not be better?
Usualy stock dsg or dct can't handle that much torque or power
Hello There we are waiting for the SL 6.3 and the V12 engine swap ;)
I find it really funny watching you blow past 911s and other supercars. It really gives a good concept of the gut-wrenching speed and cornering ability of that thing.
I would personally like to see the whole mechanism cleaned up and shrouded to some extent. I think you could loose enough weight by cleaning that mechanism up to rationalize putting some kind of protective cover over it. I understand that you like having the ability to shift it manually, buy I think a good goal to set would be to make it reliable enough to not need that backup.
Next season let's get together I'll help you with lines an techniques I have learned in my small race hobby.
Where is project xf1 !!??
Why not put actuators directly on the selector rod.
Tutorial for beginners would be nice
I watch building this car from begining. It is make hi performance in many way, but I think that gearbox is not good. Maybe better to adopt some fast and reliable gearbox like ZF 8HP with custom controler, then make whole custom system ??
Have you changed your appearance? xD
Check out the big brain on Brad....
a better idea is an automatic gearbox with bmw ...

Come on dude! Make a sperate channel for smaller videos or start regularly uploading CZcams shorts.
Isn’t it easier to put ZF 8hp in it, instead of doing some weird complicated stuff that doesn’t have any advantages?
I don’t understand why you have a body in the passenger seat in a track car, on track, with other track and race cars ….
2-300ms? A decent auto box is half that speed and any decent shoe can do an up shift on a synchro box in about that, it’s a cool high school project but hardly motorsport
was that Karen driving?
Delete Tele-Aid from my 2001 Mercedes S600.
your subs are not increasing because you have too many projects where you start them but then after a couple of videos there's nothing more...
I think you need to hire an editor or you need to learn editing.
