@ i think that these music sound's touchy because instruments sounds very raw, not perfect and at the same moment very natural, not like modern instruments
I think this will be a contender for best music at all the game awards this year. Sarah and Jesper are an awesome tag team enough, but alongside the Viking demigod Einar Selvik?

Einar Selvik is an adherent of modern Paganism characterized by animism. In a 2017 interview with Morgenbladet, he talked about his worldview: "I am a strong supporter of individual responsibility. I love Wardruna. He & Lindy's voices are gifts from Odin - giving us his son Bragi in Einar's music.

I can't stop listening to this one! So powerful, vivid...it stimulates the senses like no other music track could in my opinion.
I swear bringing Einar Selvik in to make the soundtrack is the greatest choice they have ever done. This game is gonna have one of the best Soundtracks ever.
Hype is real. But imagine Einar being an NPC in the game, playing war chants. That would have been epic on another level.
That would be something else. Maybe even a Easter egg somewhere

Einar had multiple cameo in Vikings in which he is doing some war chants.
He is, he's the head skald on Eivor's longship. Sings and tells stories.

I love Jesper Kyd he gave us the best music for Assassins Creed included Ezio's Family the main theme of the franchise , and I love Sarah Schachner because of the amazing music of Assassins Creed Origins.... but lets be honest, Einar Selvik will be the heart in this soundtrack
Gotta admit, before Ubisoft shared soundtrack details i was really disappointed with trailer music. My exact thoughts were "Dude you're making a viking themed AC and not working with Wardruna?" but there it is, dream coming true :D Well done Einar!!

@@creedexxi9004 My favorite of their songs! Would love Helvegen in AC. If not, I'll just play it while I play. I did something similar when I put on the viking outfit and wielded the axe in AC Rogue while killing civilians.

Based on this I think 50% of peoples time in the game is going to be standing around in the landscape somewhere listening to the music. Can't wait! :D

I as a Scandinavian always appreciate when foreigners come to appreciate our ancient history and desire to preserve and enjoy it. Me, like most of my fellow citizens and neighbor countries dont really care super much about things like that, except for a few historians and architects, so for it to reach global attention and acclaim, and so many people from all around loving our history sometimes more than their own, really puts my mind at ease that it wont just fade into oblivion anytime soon.
I got the same feeling when odyssey dropped (if I didn't give it away I'm greek)
Well, I think most nordic peeps feel proud of having such spiritual and fierce ancestors so saying that most don't care is kind of a ridiculous thing to say.

If youve spent any amount of time in Scandinavia, youll realise that is the case. For us, our history is just "there" if you get what i mean. Plus, old-norse culture has little to do with modern Scandinavian culture so i think youll find better conversation talking with Swedes about the Caroleans for example.
Scandinavians are no different from the rest of the world. We enjoy music, videogames, movies etc. Not every Scandinavian is obsessed with Vikings, just as not every American is obsessed with Cowboys.
I guess you can consider me an exception, since i enjoy looking for old runes around my house, look up different facts and events, and me being a history-nerd in general. But that is of course an exception.

People like you keep calling almost any upcoming game a masterpiece after watching a few ingame scenes, but later on, when the game's actually released, they throw shit at the developer on Metacritic, CZcams and other platforms, because "it's not what I expected". The fact that Einar is in this game makes me want to play it even more. I hope Danheim and Heilung get contacted to add some additional songs to it. They're both awesome and both have their own spin on viking songs as well.

As if Assassin's Creed couldn't get any better, I've love Wardruna for a long time and had no idea Einar had anything to do with the soundtrack until I started playing the game today, what a most pleasant surprise.
So glad they brought Einar on, it just wouldn't be complete without him.

I remember when i first found out about ac valhalla. I was chilling out at a friend's house. While we were watching the trailer, i just heard Einar singing "voluspa" in my head the whole time. After it was over, i turned to my friend, and said "i hope they're smart enough to get Einar Selvik to do the soundtrack". And then, months later, Einar announced that he'd be working on the game. Well done, ubisoft.
The soundtrack will be my reason for getting this game.

I played around 300 hours of this game.
It's a repetitive game but soundtrack is next level.

I've been a fan of Wardruna for a while and a fan of Assassin's Creed for even longer, so when I heard Einar Selvik was going to play a part in the soundtrack of the new game I was beyond excited. This man is absolutely amazing at what he does.
As soon as I saw him shown on the music team for this game my hype exploded and I got a huge smile well done Einar again :)

No need to play Norse music during the slaughter of civilians in AC Rogue, while wearing the Viking outfit and wielding an axe, anymore.
Now I can do it in a game from my favorite video game franchise that's specifically about my favorite mythology while listening to my favorite band, Wardruna.

Love the music! As a Swede this feels very authentic, and yes I know they're norweigan. I'm very suprised there's not some douche complaining about the lack of stealth in Valhalla. Like play the first one and do your "stealth".
