The infamous number 666 has been the cause of fear and superstition for generations. If people spot it on a license plate or a grocery store receipt, they consider it a bad omen. It’s right up there with the number 13. Many good expositors differ widely when it comes to interpreting its meaning. Will it be an implanted chip? An ID card? A barcode tattooed into the skin or simply a mark identifying allegiance to Antichrist’s kingdom? Today we will consider three additional details of Antichrist’s coming influence and try to drill down on the meaning of the mark of the beast.

666, the composition of Carbon. 6 Protons, 6 neutrons, 6 electrons. Our base is carbon and we all have the evil of sin within us. But through the sacrifice of Christ and our belief in Him and our love for Him, we are redeemed.

Numbering of names, number of men are OT references to a census head count of the 12 tribes listed by family names as in the book of NUMBERS and Ezra. The context of Rev 13 is an ingathering of the diaspora and numbering them for their allotted land and/or mustering armies by the false prophet. Coincidentally, the rabbis expect the prophet Elijah to do this when he returns, coincidentally.

Back then, I didn't fully understand pastor Skip's sermons, but now it generates in many languages (good part of technology).

The thing I have learned about God is that he understands where you're actually at. He gives you time; And the rest is between you and Him. Nobody else's business for certain. It's your journey. I took that journey at 19 years old or less. But I have never been the same since. Oh yes, loads of trouble for sure but his presence was with me. An amazing experience. I thought that people would love me but they thought I was odd. I was so sad about that. But as I read the Bible over the years I read that the same thing happened to Jesus, the most precious person in my life. And as imperfect as I am , the name of Jesus Christ is the most beautiful name I ever knew. I am no saint. I have sinned. But the difference is this: God convicts you of your sin and when you confess it, he washes you again. But you never lose your father. Problems yes but he doesn't let you get away with it once you belong to him. No different from a parent disciplining their own child. He is certainly the best Father I have ever ever known. So kind and gentle . A God who gently corrects you. Sometimes with a little spank. Ouch that hurt! Do you still love me? Yes!!!! He is a perfect father. He can never deny he is your father. Being born again means you are born of God. How could he deny it? he is your father. How could any father deny their own child's birth? In the world yes that may falsely happen but it is unnatural. And God cannot lie. So it can never be denied. He cannot deny he gave you new birth.
Read the last book of the Bible. I bet God put it there on purpose. The book of Revelation , easy to find ..Read chapter 3 verse 20. This is the actual verse I believed and I have never been the same since. I did what it said. Nobody is perfect at all. I am most certainly not, but He is , and I still jump for joy for the God who simply loved and responded to me and cared about me. The biggest change to happen to me is that I stopped cursing. Yes, I used to use the name of Jesus as a curse word. But it all stopped by itself. That very day I asked him in. I didn't even know how to believe. Believe in God! What does it mean? But I was on my knees. And all I prayed was this!. That man told me if I believe and invite in. I want you! And he came. I was a bit spooked but nothing happened strange. And he came as I slept and forgave all my sins and you know what? He loves you too exactly the same my dear precious friends. Invite him in. He never ever left me. Never!!! And the name of Jesus the Lord is the most precious name to me since I was 19 or thereabouts. He said it in the Bible. I will never, no never leave you nor forsake you. And He kept His promise through lots of trouble.

I love your teaching of the Bible and have listened to you, Chuck Smith, Paul LeBoutiller, as I study through the Bible. I agree that separation of church and state means the government shouldn’t interfere citizens religious beliefs, but I also think it means that those same citizens shouldn’t try to influence the direction of the state on matters concerning national policy. Hence the separation. I don’t think the “founders” were Christians as some would say. Some had various beliefs such as deists. Based on the Bible I read (OT/NT) I couldn’t honestly said this country was built on Christianity. But praise God we are free to read and/or study the Bible and share it with others!

A title given to the pope which we say in english as vicar of christ, the vatican writes it in latin as VICARIVS FILII DEI if you take the letters of it in roman numerals adding them together adds up to 666. Revelation 13:17 refers to it as the number of his name. In verse 18 the word translated as count means calculate.

In Revelation 13 we have the second beast/false prophet who comes imitating the signs of Elijah to do 3 important things the rabbis expect Elijah to do:
1) Renew the Sinai covenant marriage which in the Torah came with sealing the congregation with the mark of the Name of God in the forehead and hand in dedication of thoughts and works through the Aaronic Benediction as symbolized by the tefillin (Mark of the beast); _“You shall bind them [commandments per Deu 6.1-7] for a SIGN/MARK UPON YOUR HAND, and they shall be as frontlets BETWEEN YOUR EYES [the forehead].”_ (Deut 6.8)
2) restore the sacrifices which only those in the covenant (take the mark of the name in covenant marriage) can participate in with the money-changers and merchants Yeshua threw out (buying and selling); _"And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all those who were BUYING AND SELLING in the temple"_ (Mat 21.12)
3) regather and number the tribes in a census as in the books of Numbers and Ezra by heads of family names (number of names/number of men); _”Take a census of all the congregation of the sons of Israel, by their families, by their fathers' households, according to THE NUMBER OF NAMES, every male, head by head”_ (NUMBERS 1.2), and, _"..The NUMBER OF MEN of the people of Israel.."_ (Ezra 2.2)

We are the temple we are the Holy habitation, stones that fit together. We get material or examples in the visible world, but they are to help us understand in the spiritual, the physical material temple has fallen, not one stone will stand upon another, now it s taking place in Christianity and in non believers, not one stone will stand upon another.
How interesting to learn of Muslim eschatology. I had never heard that before.
For 75 yrs I pondered what those 666 numbers meant. And even the bible says it's easy to figure out. But I simply could not do it. So, I got on my knees and cried out to Jesus; asking Him to give me "Wisdom, Understanding and the Truth". Because Jesus is the ONLY entity that is "Innerant and Infallible"!
And soon, I began to read of some happenings in the OT. Where one "warrior" leader had many prisoners. And the Holy Spirit told him, "kill 1,000 and another 1,000. And for the next 1,000; let them go free"! That took me back to that "666". And I said, "2/3rds is also 66.6 %. And that leaves only 1/3rd, which is 33.3 %". So I now believe; that the people that takes the Beast's number; will be 66.6 % of the population.
And they will be cast into a "Burning Lake of Fire" (hell); where Born Again's; are going to be 33.3 %; that will go to Heaven on "Judgment Day"! Praise Jesus Holy Name. Could I be Wrong? ABSOLUTELY YES!. But all others could be Wrong too. Any way, Please praise Jesus always.
Hmmm that’s interesting. Would have never thought that. I do know that the scripture says “very little “ will confess Jesus as their Savior and so not many will make it to heaven. I also knew about Gods people of Israel 144,000 Jews will be spared. But only with Skips teachings I’ve heard that many others will will be saved. I pray for those who have to go through tribulation. As a believer since 5 years ( 50 now). Through my adult life and moving around some, in some churches, and I grew up baptist and now mostly nondenominational…we we have been in churches that the pastors have taught that we Christians are “mid-trib” and the rapture is not first like I’d grown up believing. They taught that we would go through first 3.5 years. We’ve been saving so much food because we would never take the mark…I figured we’d just starve eventually or be slain for being a child of God. I would NEVER renounce Jesus. Watching Skips teachings on end times and revelation….I feel he’s a great Bible researcher and is filled with the Spirit to deliver these sermons. I feel so secure now that it really is layer out in scripture that those who accepted Jesus as savior will be raptured out before the tribulation begins. I don’t know how many can be saved because if you can’t buy even just groceries to sustain yourself, and that the beast will be a great deceiving being…I see most people feeling they have no choice than to get it. However, when the time comes and they start requiring everyone to take mark, I believe a whole lot of people who may have believed there was a God but never confessed with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and asked forgiveness….there will be lots very scared in that moment when they discover the mark is the number 666 and they know that is satans number. No the bible doesnt say it would be easy to figure out.
He doesnt even say to figure it out ourselves, but those who take up His wisdom will understand when things start to unfold as bible prophecies come to pass one by one.
I stay an any day/hour early rapture waiting around the starting signals of 2nd Thess 2; leaving soonest possible in Father God's sovereign all knowing will, right after that. (Seeing this like a setup stage of Rev12 battle from the heavenlies / spiritual realm to the natural realm, against a collective children of God people around the world) -- occuring at a time of 'world religion world peace' when that beast be revealed to ears that hear what Christ our God's Spirit says; our witness within. This I hang on to also like an antidote to recognizing the 1world religious beast and NOT falling away from Christ.

It seems so bizarre to those who took of the "Strong's" Delusion, that of Paul...however, what does "Pence" mean? 6-Pence! Good Lord...he appears as a "Christian" (Lamb), and yet speaks as that Dragon (Christ).
The biggest mistake one can ever make is to guess what the Word of God means. Don’t be led astray. Ensure that you study the Word of God yourself. Don’t just believe the first thing you hear. Only the Father knows the day and hour when Jesus returns. We are so desperate for Jesus to return that we will hang on to or believe anything that makes us think Jesus is coming soon-but only the Father knows! Therefore, this is probably wrong unless Skip knows what the Father knows! Stay close to the Lord Jesus Christ, walk in the Spirit, pray in the Spirit, confess the Lord Jesus Christ regularly, fellowship with other born again believers and believe the Word of God. Most importantly, this is only Skips view based on his own understanding of the Bible and what he ‘thinks’ may be right. Do you think that the Holy Spirit has led him to this conclusion and this view? If not, it is just a human view. If yes, then the Word of God will be able to support every single point that Skip Heitzig talks about. If it doesn’t, it’s not of God! I can tell you that it doesn’t. This whole view is based on a misunderstanding of Daniels 70 weeks prophecy, more specifically, the ‘prince that will come’. This is the antichrist that Skip is basing his talk on. There is only one Prince mentioned in that prophecy and that is Jesus. It’s dispensationalist, futurist and based on a Jesuit view originating in 1593, because the reformers recognised the papal seat as antichrist. He may be wrong so don’t rest your hopes on it. Rest your hopes on the Word of Gods and the Lord Jesus Christ, our blessed hope! He gives you a peace that the world can’t give and the world can’t take away!

Skip, do you still think there is a prerapture tribulation although a couple scriptures say it wont happen? It’s just 3 sixes in a row, because that’s not how you construct Hebrew numbers. :) So WWW can be argued to not be the mark of beast because in Hebrew it’s just 3 sixes….
