In their effort to rationalize and make it seem that he was foolish for making his report, the two interviewers 100% contradicted themselves within 30 seconds. They tell him that he should have look taken Institution in addition to his research on the policy, he should have watched the video, and then seconds later they tell him he should have reported this to his Sergeant immediately and not delayed and done any research. This is rationalization speak for you shouldn't have reported this and no matter what you say you're going to be wrong.

I wouldn't trust this Rigby at all. Glad this officer found new employment. Rigby is saying in essense that the officer should have ignored it. Rigby said you didn't interfere with the treatment so it was not your place to mention it to the other officer. I would not want to work with this Rigby. Maybe, if he gets promoted, the other officers won't have to deal with him. Rigby doesn't look the officer in the eye.

And this is the worst hemming and hawing interrogation I’ve ever seen. He knows he wants to intimidate the police officer but he’s not quite sure how to do it so he can clear his friend from choking allegations. He doesn’t deserve to be in law enforcement.
I know why Rigby is hemming and hawing. He knows he’s on camera and thinks he can sound like he’s not intimidating the police officer. But he’s clearly trying to get the police officer to withdraw his choking charges against the police chief. Rigby is a corrupt cop.

Cannot express what it means to see an officer stick up for Truth, Justice an the American way. Completely obvious they wanted you to change your statement to agree with them. They were clearly not your friend and it sure looked and felt like that you really were the subject of the IA. Amazing that they sated that choking someone is NOT use of force?? I am sorry you had to put your job family etc on the line. Having to consider finding another place to work is hard. I am guessing you probably couldn't stay working there and have moved on. They were trying to excuse the sheriff's actions because we didn't see the whole video. Well now I've seen the whole video and I'm convinced his actions were far worse than what just the news reports showed.

I understand how vile this interview is , for sure, which is exactly why there is no true reform in the abuse officers continue to engage in , but it is very telling in that, these interviewers are there on behalf of THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. So it does give us a look at how it's perpetuated. And I don't know how to change it , but I feel like I have a little more insight in general.

Make this young man Sheriff what integrity he has! Totally willing to put his career and lively hood on the line. The Interrogators said it was excessive force the whole time he just couldn't understand or keep up. Their speaking a foreign language. Court Room, Lawyer. Judge, Law Enforcement Language you gotta understand it some what or you just don't get it. They are proud of this officer, just don't let him know so he can keep his guard up to be aware.
I hope he goes very far in his career just keep the mind set and morals you have in this moment. Keep your Heart, just keep studying your policies and act on them in the moment, keep fighting for our Rights and to be treated like human beings in the end.
