- Something a little different for Day 6. We hired bike and set off from Santa Monica and rode all the way down the beach to Venice Beach and back again. After this we had a stroll around the stores in SM and the. Went for a family favourite, CHEESECAKE FACTORY.

Another great vlog guys. Can you remember how long it took you to get from the Holiday Inn to Santa Monica? I’ve heard the LA traffic can be a nightmare, a lot of people recommend doing a split stay in Anaheim for Disney then LA/Santa Monica for universal/sites etc. Love the idea of renting the bikes looked fab!

It wasn’t far, maybe 60 mins.
Traffic can be tough, but we used the carpool lane and it made a big difference.
We didn’t want to do hotel swaps, because we didn’t want to cluster our Disney days, so this way made most sense. If you don’t enjoy driving, LA is tough. I don’t mind it, so quite enjoyed it on our days off Disney.

Random question: the car parks in LA, like at Santa Monica etc...are they cash only or can you pay with card/online/apple pay etc?

Mmmm, good question, I think we paid cash at most of them. We prepaid online for the parking at Lakers, but paid cash at Santa Monica and Laguna.
We found free parking on Rodeo Drive and think we paid on card for others in Hollywood and Griffith Park.

Thanks Alice, really appreciate it. Parking was very easy, lots of lots around. Think it was $15 for the day and we were two blocks from the pier.
