    Sean, I just found you through this video, but it looks like you've stopped making CZcams videos! That's a shame. I really love your approach and attitude. Thank you for what you DID make, and I hope you are well.

    • @SeanWoodsMedia
      @SeanWoodsMedia  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks Christopher. You might have to dress the mic up a bit more to create more layers and also might want to think about taping both sides to try and keep it stable

    Great Vid! How often do you use a boom operator? or do you use a boom op and lav up your subjects as a combo?

    • @SeanWoodsMedia
      @SeanWoodsMedia  Před 3 lety +1

      I’m usually doing it all myself. I’ll setup the boom, as well as run a lav.

    • @SeanWoodsMedia

    Hey Sean, every time i try i can still hear the mic touching the shirt. Any advice?

    • @OG_predatorproductionz
      @OG_predatorproductionz Před 3 lety +3

      Make sure you have enough cushion on the mic, try a mic sandwich with gaff tape or have the subject not move as much. It will never be 100% rustle free, but you can def minimize it.

    • @SeanWoodsMedia
      @SeanWoodsMedia  Před 3 lety

      Hey Giosué! @predator productionz gave a great response! Just to add to that...along with making sure you have enough cushion, also be sure that you're keeping the capsule tucked inside the foamie. If it's exposed, then you'll have the clothing still touching the microphone on top of the capsule. Also, if it's a fitted shirt, sometimes I'll also add a strip of super stick double-sided tape on top and slightly press the clothing down onto it. This will keep the clothing from moving around a bit in the area of the microphone. Hope this helps!
