i love J.K Rowling. i live for her books. im amazed because when i was 5 years old i wrote a small book about a red bird called, sam and my first thought was "lets get it published" there has never been a moment in my life where i havent wanted to be an author.
What i take away from these interviews, Is that Joans life had a major impact on her writing, i read all 7 harry potter books and i felt a sense of adventure, Like i was not in this world anymore, which inspired me to begin working on my book, i want that same impact on my readers, like the main characters adventure takes people into his world and keeps them there till they put the book down. She is very inspiring.
JK Rowling is a clear inspiration. She's proof that if you don't give up, keep trying, and persevere on your ambition/idea/s you CAN become successful. Not just her, but Stephen King, JRR Tolkien, and CS Lewis. Also, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. True innovators and pioneers of the twentieth century. Never give up on your dreams. Even if, you are depressed and are at rock bottom. Like Ms. Rowling herself has said, "Rock bottom wasn't fun. I'm not romanticizing it. But it was liberating.". In essence, she was saying to not let any thoughts/inhibitions stand in your way. :). I love the Harry Potter series.
I remember watching the first Harry Potter movie with my dad years ago. It's hard to make him laugh, but he found the film highly amusing and chuckled often. Now that I've lost him, I find a strange comfort in the world of Harry Potter.
Jk Rowling is extraordinary. Shes a genius, to create the world of Harry Potter in her head, its just baffling. And to think shes richer than the Queen because she imagined a world of characters and events in her head makes me respect her more.
I'll never forget the feeling i get whenever i read or watch Harry Potter and i'll never stop wishing that one day i'll get that letter from Hogwarts and live this fascinating life. Im proud to say that i've stuck by Harry Potter from the very start and will always stick by it. I could never thank J.K Rowling so much for creating this world which has been my childhood.
@MissChips33 Actually her mother died before the first book was published, but she was clinically depressed when she wrote the first book, and she did base the dementors on depression, especially the part about how you feel like you'll never be happy again.
some of the most incredible moments of my life were spent within the realm of Harry Potter. Such a beautiful world she's created...I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
J. K. Rowling is one of the best writers. I never thought that a book written for children can so fascinate adults. The fate of Harry I know by heart and still happy to be back to this reading. I recommend books by JK Rowling as a way for miles to spend some time for both children and older generation.
IKR =) For me, the moment of inspiration first struck when I read the sentence, "He had hands the size of dustbin lids" about Hagrid in the first book. I knew I was onto a winner and that I wanted to write like her.
I grew up with the potter series, now that the last of the movies are done and over with, it saddens me in a tremendous way. THIS was a classic, is a classic, and will always be.
Go for it! You'll be a great writer, just don't quit. And if you're strapped for cash, you can always get a part-time job modelling because you're pretty. :-)
i doubt you'll be that disappointed, they actually did a fairly good job transfering the books into movies. The books are extremely detailed and answers alot of questions you may not have picked up in the films. I just recently started reading the first book and find it hard to put down...so go for it :)
@TheSimonTech watch the interview she had with oprah. She specifically states that Deathly Hallows had Christian influence that came from how she was raised.
if it weren't for you J.K my life wouldn't be what it is today the harry book's has had a so massive influence on my life that they are now like a part of my life! every day when i go to sleep i read one of your books EVERY DAY !
Wow I just have to say J.K. Rowling you are the best. I mean I try really hard when i write my stories and when I get my own ideas but none of them can compair with the amazing world that you have created. You make me try harder at my stories because I want to be a great author like you. And for the people that are saying she stole your idea get a life. And it doesn't take 17 years to write a book! I mean sure it takes A LOT to come up with a magical world like she did but still come on.
@xwahinex ME TOO! i was a bit young but its best to wait for all the books to come out instead of having them all out. it makes you appreciate them more. to me the Deathly hallows took SO long to come out it was unbearable but i enjoyed it more when it did =D
PPL. I watched all the 6 movies of HP & they're all amazing. I just imagine how the books would be! Is it worth it 2 read the last book without reading all the rest? Bcuz i already watched the movies.
@divadevil123 I started writing early also, within a few months of learning how to read. I am a ghost writer still... but my works are vast including books, movies, music, TV etc. I think you should write some more.

I met her! She signed the last book for me! She is really sweet and definately an inspiration!
You just cant hate or be jealous of this lady. She went through so much and never gave up until she found success.
"Goblet nearly killed me." You're telling me! My copy fell off my shelf and hit me on the top of the head. I really did think I was dying.
😂😂😂 that thing weighs as much as a brick

riazomonero Don't believe the rumour that she's richer than the Queen. No one comes close to her vast wealth empire.

Happy for her and her success.

There is so much that I owe to this woman.
@MissChips33 Actually her mother died before the first book was published, but she was clinically depressed when she wrote the first book, and she did base the dementors on depression, especially the part about how you feel like you'll never be happy again.
The moment you realise that 2007 was 14 years ago...
😂
I love you, Ms. Rowling. Thank you for making me an avid reader and a writer!
Absolutely love this lady. Beautiful, benevolent and super intelligent.

she's so inspiring. i love her
some of the most incredible moments of my life were spent within the realm of Harry Potter. Such a beautiful world she's created...I wouldn't have it any other way. :)

such a beautiful, amazing, genius woman... would love to meet her!
the fact that she got my generation reading (89' 91'92' so fourth) is gigantic achievement in itself. Well Done JK.

you are right, this is true. I started reading because of her books. I love them , and they made me want to read other books too.
Jo seems a genuinely lovely and kind person!
It would be so great to meet her. Seriously. She's one of my biggest inspirations.
Queen Rowling is amazing..
If I ever met her, I would start to cry. I owe her so much.
Wonderful woman, you can tell she's still very real and unaffected (as much as you can be) by the fame
IKR =) For me, the moment of inspiration first struck when I read the sentence, "He had hands the size of dustbin lids" about Hagrid in the first book. I knew I was onto a winner and that I wanted to write like her.

I couldn't imagine the pain of ending the series. It's bad enough for me to finish reading the last book.
My mother has MS so I respect her dedication to the MS society
She seems so genuine. I'm a straight female but to me I think she's such a beautiful lady and her talent is exquisite.
J.K Rowling is sooo amazing. Gosh. She's such an inspiration. Her imagination is just so awesome! :D
Can anyone tell me where i find the song which is played at the very beginning of this video? How is it called and from which part is it?
Thank you!:D
How can someone dislike this?
Go for it! You'll be a great writer, just don't quit. And if you're strapped for cash, you can always get a part-time job modelling because you're pretty. :-)

Does anyone know if she's still married, and how many kids she's got? I love her!
@PR1000DTV yeah, start off rough, don't try and perfect it straight away. you've gotta write out a rough few chapter or two and build on it.
i honestly hope sh writes another book series
this woman is sheer genius
one creative woman
dose anyone no how to do a book the best way possible to start off ?
she's the reason, why i read books :)
True genius!
PPL. I watched all the 6 movies of HP & they're all amazing. I just imagine how the books would be! Is it worth it 2 read the last book without reading all the rest? Bcuz i already watched the movies.
What is da song that was playing in the background at 6:26 ?
MissIneedAttention "The room of requirements" from Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix OST , written by Nicholas Hooper. Gorgeous soundtrack!
@divadevil123 I started writing early also, within a few months of learning how to read. I am a ghost writer still... but my works are vast including books, movies, music, TV etc. I think you should write some more.
she is so lucky!
really nice
5 stars
I keep wanting the interviewer to say "is that your final answer"?
she somehow always reminds me of lady di, maybe it's her big sad eyes
Harry Potter is my life. I love it
i always wondered, when harry died and was in kings cross, was it because thats where joe technically started it all or it just held value to him?
Never read a book, never saw a movie. But she's awsome no doubt.
yeah i know... same here but i do know one thing if my future kids like Harry Potter i will be reading it to them for their bedtime stories lol
i agree
She is an amazing women to all kids wen we were younger n she truley change them n i think we we r older we will be telling storys about dis wonderful amazing lady who created a book dat no1 ever thought into a muitmillon dollor movies!! i'll be naming my daughter after JK!!!!

J.k Rowling you are my Hero ^^
@Hosker25 sorry, I sometimes confuse the two lol
well the recent ones are getting more serious... but i still find it cool to watch a harry potter movie... of course there's nothing like the books :D
@blattt188 do you believe in witches and wizards (ones that cast REAL curses and spells) and do you consider yourself a Christian
@blattt188 what does any of this have to do with Harry Potter?!?!
@ReadyRedd123 lol is calling people uber nerds supposed to be an insult?
sure ;)
