    One day , when I’ve got the room and stability of a home , I’m going to make Bathurst , with all the evaluations, declines , as accurate as I can , if I can achieve half the detail you’ve got , I’ll be one very happy man ....truly a work of art you have .....😎

    One of the best I've seen! (I do have reservations with lack of a long straight in order to use the cars full speed potential)

      Thankyou and totally agree. I have a couple of other short videos showing an Extension I built to this track as like you, thought I needed a longer straight 👍

    Outstanding job, bravo! Did you paint the track pieces by hand or you sprayed them?

    • @junk52

      Hi. Spray painted in situ

  • @akacaleb

    Great track! I’m about to start my own project and have some questions.
    1. What copper tape did you use?
    2. Did you remove the original rails?
    3. What did you use to make the catch fence?
    4. What spray paint did you use?

    • @junk52
      @junk52  Před 4 lety

      Hi. Thankyou.
      The track was sprayed with car paint primer and copper is standard self adhesive tape. To be honest not totally necessary .
      The fence was a kit

    hi! beatiful track and layout!, im beginning to start my own project, first time. :) so i have some questions if thats okey?, have u painted the track and then uses coppartape? is it much better power?, is it easy to put in the coppartape and wich size did u use? once again! awesome work!

    • @junk52
      @junk52  Před 8 lety +1

      Hi Christian
      Thankyou for your comments.
      Yes the track was spray painted on the layout using car primer spray.
      1st job was to mask off the rails,2nd spray the track followed immediately the removal of the masking tape.
      Once dry, usually 1to2 days I was able to copper tape the rails. The tape is wafer thin and to answer your question, it's a real pain to install. Straight sections are ok ish but curves, especially tight curves are difficult and time consuming. Is it worth installing copper tape? absolutely without doubt. Highly recommended for permanent layouts.

    • @junk52
      @junk52  Před 8 lety

      Oh also in answer to your question. The tape I used was approximately 5-6mm wide. This means each rail has to be taped individually. Time consuming but worth it Christian.

      Ok! :) ty u for all the information! I saw on another comment that u used power taps. Did u use scalextric booster cables or did u do a connection on ur own? Sry for all the questions :) my track is gonna be on a table that is 2 x 4 meters. And im also gonna use a digital layout, but i have alot of older classic tracks pieces aswell, so need to have good power all the way. :)

    • @junk52
      @junk52  Před 8 lety

      +Christian Sandberg hi. I bought after market cables but with what you describe I'd recommend a power tap and copper tape.

      +nismo glider hello again. i have now finished the table and doing the elevations right now. have ordered the coppar foil and will start with the painting and coppar soon. did u apply the coppar foil on each track piece individually or when it was all assembled? and wht did u do with the lane changes? once again! awesome track. it is my inspiration for my table :)
