- In this Tokyo Vlog, we'll take you on a journey through Yanaka, Tokyo's Timeless Shitamachi District. Yanaka is a district in Tokyo famous for its historic Shitamachi district, which is full of traditional Japanese buildings from the Edo period. We'll take you on a tour of some of Yanaka's most famous landmarks, and show you why this district is still a vital part of Tokyo today. @@innovativeg4m3r hmmm,... this month I stayed in the Tokyo Italian district in Minato Ward. The neighborhood around Mitsui Garden Italia Gai hotel is cobblestone streets and Italian (I think) architecture ... and yummy pasta restaurants.
