- Here's my full game review of Foamstars! A brand new 4v4 online competitive party shooter using foam released for PS4 and PS5. Use foam to build terrain, create slippery surfaces to surf in the arena at high speed and use foam to attack your opponents. But... is the game dead on arrival?

the gameplay is fun, but you're right the time spent in the menus has to be reworked.

This game has crazy potential. It has amazing music, amazing gameplay, some amazing characters and a lotta personality. They need to fix the connection issues though. I really really want this game to live for a long time.

As a PC player I'm so grateful that Sony put Helldivers 2 on PC instead of Foamstars. In an alternate reality we may not of been so lucky.
The game has some fun elements, but the way it handles cosmetics with those outrageous prices is awful.

Game is fun and needs to be multi platform. I love that the matches are super fast. I don’t want long ass Overwatch or VALORANT rounds. I’m actually addicted to Foamstars.

I didn't buy the season pass and still got Mel T the 8th character. Idk how but it seems like one skin of hers was free to play on the season pass and with the skin unlock I apparently also unlocked her base skin.
The game is fun. It's more fun than Splatoon. I convinced some of my friends to play it and they like it.

Been playing the game my only problem is that i have to wait 10 min plus to get into a 2 min game. My biggest problem is something the game devs cant control but id still rate the game 6/10 not 9/10 just because the proportion of time in the lobby is too much. Sometimes it doesn't even let me play the gamemode after 10 minutes of waiting
If it had a turf war I'd actually like to give it a shot but I guess Nintendo has that patented for Splatoon like how WB had the nemesis system patented so nobody else can use it in their games

I unfortunately think that this game might fall in the same bin as like Knockout City or Overwatch, two games that showed a lot of promise but ultimately fell extremely short. As appealing as this game is too.
Does multiplayer not work ? My girl and I kept inviting each other yesterday on the menu and it kept just saying inviting request and when I would accept it, it would just loop me around for the same thing.
It worked for us when we played. Sorry to hear it’s not working! We also invited from the lobby (not the robot dude)

My god my dude, Splatoon is not just "covering the floor the most and win", that's ONE mode. People like you saying "it's not really like Splatoon" clearly don't even know Splatoon enough to say this bs. Foamstars has a mode that is literally Tower Control.

I very late but yes it is and even splatoon 3 is growing and getting better. Square face planted itself with a very poor amd low content in both overall quality and quantity. I read comments on reviews sayings "You guys give it a poor score because you wanted it to be like splatoon" and "the haye for it is undeserved" done in the same qay of what critics said about dead rising. That game nor foamstars isn't up my alley but i'm basing it off people who played it.

@@EddyAllamYT we all know that in battle royals that monetizing is a pretty common practice. I feel that if anything the minor stuff like how the lounge is and loading screen is pretty much common even in games like fortnight or overwatch. This is a new game so I feel like people aren’t really giving it a chance because of the fact that it takes from others of its genre. But be honest most other games do the same thing.
@@EddyAllamYT I agree with a lot of complaints that you've talked about. The load time is ass, some of the challenges are very annoying. And holy crap the pricing on these skin packs is waaay too high and it needs a nerf. But me personally, I don't have a problem with the time of the matches. I think it's ok for what it is. Me and the homies don't have a problem with it but I do understand your point tho. I like your take on the game. Alot of it is critical and fair. Unlike other CZcamsrs who are hella biased and just shits on the game just cuz. I appreciate your input 👍🏿
