While tooling around Lanta Island (Koh Lanta)
We stumbled across the cool Reggae bar, Rasta Baby Bar. We hung out there 2 different days. He had such a cool vibe and great music. Reminded me of old times in Jamaica before it was over commercialized. The owner makes jewelry and is so laid back. This is a lifestyle on this island. My name is Brian but everyone calls me Greeny. I retired in January of 2020 after working 30 years in my field. I didn’t want to work so long that I would be too old to enjoy my retirement. After living in Michigan my whole life I decided I wanted to retire somewhere warm, somewhere exotic. I sampled a ton of places in the Caribbean, Panama, Colombia, Turkey but set my sights on Thailand. I spent most of the winter of 2020 exploring Thailand then ......you know what happened. IT!!!
So I had to catch one of the last flights and come home. Now I’m back.
Why am I making videos? I need a hobby. I feel if I don’t do anything creative my mind may melt. I can also easily go back and reminisce by watching the videos. If anyone else enjoys them then that is a plus.

Ko Lanta has many laid back vibe bars and restaurants, I was there about ten years ago, can remember a three floor reggie night club/bar/restaurant made of wood that looked very funky, remember the amazing sunsets too!

Indeed Reggae culture is very entrenched in the South of Thailand. This is why i feel Malaysia should just go ahead and legalise the herb. The Indigenous Malay people really love it, 20 years ago in my early 20s we used Papaya pipe to make a Bong with my local Malay friends.

Did you fly to Phuket? I can't imagine a 12-13 hr. roadtrip, because, WOW, that's a lot of driving. One way even. Don't forget got to go back eventually.
