  • Welcome back! This video is a bad one. FUBAR. However I was able to fix the issues I encountered. Lessons learned.
    1. Dont paint in 99% humidity
    2. Always use a sealer

Yeah FLASH time between coats is your friend on humid days. It’s sucks because you wanna get it done, but that’s how it goes. I always use FAST reducers in clears with anything smaller then a fender no matter the temps, gets it to its TACK free stage (they call it) less dirt and chance for runs.. like you said be happy it’s just the booty kit and not the quarter panel or sum….😂🤙🏼

Hey I like your channel a while back you got the front and rear valance panels did they come with the clips to mount them and for the parking lamp housings in. Mine is a 1960 sedan thank you for your time and keep the 1960 Chevys on the road 👍.

Thanks. No, they come bare metal, valance only. They have doubled in price since I bought.

I feel your pain, had pretty much the same thing happen to me with my firewall.
Love those poly stripping discs, definitely messy, but quick and safer from heat.

I ran into that same problem when I painted the firewall on my Oldsmobile I was outside and thought condensation settled on the clear I sprayed I right as the sun was going down. Crazy to know it was the humidity and it can still happen indoors

I think mistake #1 was too humid, mistske #2 was no epoxy sealer before the 2nd time basecoat...

i should really invest in some. but i dont know that they would have helped in 99% humidity
