- Welcome back! This video is a bad one. FUBAR. However I was able to fix the issues I encountered. Lessons learned.
1. Dont paint in 99% humidity
2. Always use a sealer

Great work y’all do, & nice 60”
Thank you for all your knowledge & talents
Always welcome
Good video man we learn by our mistakes…
Nice , thank you
Yeah FLASH time between coats is your friend on humid days. It’s sucks because you wanna get it done, but that’s how it goes. I always use FAST reducers in clears with anything smaller then a fender no matter the temps, gets it to its TACK free stage (they call it) less dirt and chance for runs.. like you said be happy it’s just the booty kit and not the quarter panel or sum….😂🤙🏼
yes ive been looking on trying out some speed clear.. for that reason.
@@lonestarlows I think you will love it, Especially if you going to cut and buff it anyway…
😃✌️👍 some struggle came out great.
Been there done that more then once and I have the same tree stand I love it
mistake #1 was humidity. and i think mistake #2 was no sealer before re-base
I respect you showing the good as well as the bad. Just goes to show building these cars isn't easy
Man was raining hardcore there!!
it rained for like 24hrs.
Hey I like your channel a while back you got the front and rear valance panels did they come with the clips to mount them and for the parking lamp housings in. Mine is a 1960 sedan thank you for your time and keep the 1960 Chevys on the road 👍.
Thanks. No, they come bare metal, valance only. They have doubled in price since I bought.
I feel your pain, had pretty much the same thing happen to me with my firewall.
Love those poly stripping discs, definitely messy, but quick and safer from heat.
yes i like them wish they lasted longer
good video I was considering painting some pieces in the rain saved me a headache 😂
It's like little kids building model cars. Can't wait...then ruin...
Yeah I know the feeling, needs to be done now!! Haha..good things come to those who wait .😂😂😂
IT goes to show even the best have problems every once in a while ,nice finish on a problem well done
I ran into that same problem when I painted the firewall on my Oldsmobile I was outside and thought condensation settled on the clear I sprayed I right as the sun was going down. Crazy to know it was the humidity and it can still happen indoors
yessir. sun goes down, temp goes down, humidity goes up
Maybe it's the metal? I had a customer with a 68 Camaro rear spoiler do the same thing 3 repaints
I think mistake #1 was too humid, mistske #2 was no epoxy sealer before the 2nd time basecoat...
That's my life story 😅
Ya high humidity , ?? Good luck , prayer Jesus !!!!
yessir. the only person who can pull that off is jesus himself.
Heat lamps ??
i should really invest in some. but i dont know that they would have helped in 99% humidity
I think if it would've done something the fourth time. It would've been at that point he decided he really didn't want a continental kit lol
yes lol
What kind of green is that? I want to paint my car with that green
Did you build your stands your self bro . ? Thx
Bobby bought the stand. It's a tree stand. We build the door and fender stands seen in my other videos
