I have been a Christian all my life. I was raised in a loving Baptist family and have always unshamedly loved and followed the Saviour, but it wasnt until I became a member of this Church, and a student of The Book of Mormon, that I fully understood how much the Saviour loves and understands me too.

I have been away from the gospel for so long and I have literally destroyed my life... I have lost everything and yet I have this very very small feeling of hope in my heart that it will be ok... Watching this gives me hope

Please come back. It brings me such peace to hear our leaders teach about the Gospel and our Savor in ways that I know that they KNOW our Savior and our Father in heaven in such a way that through their testimonies and experiences it keeps me on the path and encouraging me in areas that I am weak in. I couldn't do it without them. I know what they say is true and it gives me strength to follow them through their examples and knowledge of our Savior and Heavenly Father. We need you!
You are right, there is hope and it will be okay! Jesus Christ wants us to choose to be with Him. He loves you!
At age 63 I learned of the Restored Gospel and that was when I learned that "bright hope" was available to me. As I learned more, I felt a deep, abiding love that I thought could never be and 8-1/2 years later that love that Heavenly Father and the Savior have for me (and you) only deepens. This relationship can and will be as personal as WE desire to make it. God bless you.

I keep messing up and God keeps giving.
I think that's what I should admit. I know I have done alot of sins even though it was either unintentional or I'm just trying my hardest not to sin, but yet I still keep remembering the past how much awful amount of damage I did to my families and my friends and I really want to get out of the adversaries that Satan is putting me into with prayer, fasting, tithing, God's work, etc. But I have to admit, I got to stop punishing myself for what I've done and still do because it does happen to us and will always be that way for thousands of generations to come in this Earth. I have to admit that he does understand us how much we struggle and how badly we really want to get out of the temptations even though we still continue to do so. I'm just really happy this message from our beloved Prophet is here.
Pikachufps3 I used to sin. I was very self centered. But God changed me through the Atonement of his son Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Ghost. I repented but I still felt guilty. But, listen to this scripture, “And now, my son, I desire that ye should let these things trouble you no more, and only let your sins trouble you, with that trouble which shall bring you down unto repentance.” Alma 42:29. One reason Christ died is so we can be forgiven when we come unto him and repent. Only let your sins trouble you with the sorrow that will bring you down to repentance. Once you have repented, God forgives you. This is what I believe .
Exactly the same with me, but I love that He believes in me and has never given up on me. I love Him.
It's what makes us human. And God knew it would happen. That's why He sent His only begotten Son. Keep fighting. Keep loving. Keep moving forward. Through all the mess ups of life, moving onward and upward is what matters. You are loved! Elder Holland does a beautiful job explaining it in this video.

Christ knows grief and sorrow greater than any of us. He was "a man of sorrows." He may not know what it's like to get a divorce, not make the team, get a poor grade in school, etc., but he knows the depths of anguish. "The Son of Man hath descended below them all."
These videos make me so happy, what makes me nearly equally as happy is seeing all the comments from fellow Mormons, it gets a bit disheartening hearing the hate that we get but the unique positivity of the comment section on these videos is a wonderful pocket of goodness

Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD, is true and living; He can never forsake us.. I am not a Christian by birth, but gradually Christ made me realize that I am His Child, and He is my Ever-Loving, Compassionate, Merciful ABBA and so I could whole-heartedly accept that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour.. What man says Impossible is quite Possible for Him.. Amen!
Jesus Christ came to earth to experience the pains, temptations, and infirmities of his people. He suffered so incredibly, taking all the sins and hardships and pains of the world upon him for us all. He has felt all the pain of the world and he knows and understands the pain we go through. I know he died for me, that I can make it back to my Heavenly Father one day. Because of His loving sacrifice, I can find comfort and peace no matter the situation in this life and endless happiness in the next.
I've been struggling a lot with a few habits I try to overcome for a decade . I have watched this many number of times for years now. Each time I Feel Elder Holland telling me to keep trying because the Savior understands me. I pray that one day I can meet him and say " Thank you for believing in me". I love Elder Holland, I love the Church and more sincerely I love my Savior Jesus Christ 🙏.

I have felt this too...I don't understand all the complexities, but I know I am important to God.
I hit a spiritual wall and have just fallen away about 3 years ago. I just kind of gave up...I've always had a hard time staying in church but I've never felt so separated from it. I even refer to the members as "them" instead of "us" now. I know I need to get right before I die. I'm endowed and I'm 60 but I've never felt so far away and hopeless. When I think of trying, I give up because my husband and son make the home environment impossible for the spirit to abide....I just don't want to wait until it's too late..I really do love Elder Holland...he touches my heart

datsyhoehoe I know how you feel, I've been there and sometimes I still am there but I'll just quote you Elder Holland because I know it helps me. He says "Don't give up. Don't you quit. You keep walking. You keep trying. There is help and happiness ahead. You keep your chin up. It will be all right in the end. Trust God and believe in good things to come."

I was a selfish sinner and there wore time's I tried to stop. It was hard because I tried to just stop doing it and just repent, well that's easier than done. There ware so many times when I felt like I have just been over my sins and I fall back into doing my sin again. It was very hard to stop doing it, but it wasn't impossible. And The Lord helped me find the way. the reason I kept falling into sin is I cep my sins to my self and it was harder to stop doing it, but win I told my dad it was easier to stop and think you should do the same.

The Fathers love is so great that he didn’t suffer the sins of the world himself. He had his perfect and only begotten son do it for mankind.
As a parent I would endure suffering for my children but to have one of my children endure suffering I cannot help them with for others is something I cannot imagine.

Aubrey G I just had 2 Latter Day Saints talk to me at my front door so I thought let me look up some speakers and see what they say . The speaker here spoke truth about The Savior. But when I started to read the comments I saw your and my heart SANK !!! The Bible warns us about the kind of love you said you had for this man “ tremble “ !!!!!! We are not to love this world or anything in it that makes us tremble. How could a SERVANT of God be worthy of trembling love ????? None of us are worthy of that kind of love for each other none of us !!!! This is why the world has created CULT figures over the centuries. Luke 14:26 please read and understand why this was important. This man is filthy rags and remember God declared “ not one of you are worthy “ Romans 3-10 The meek will inherit the world ! Psalms 37-11 I asked the boys at my door to have a LDS person who use to be a Christian to call me . I’m open to listen but not to worship anything or any human here on earth , Love for my Savior makes me tremble .

@@roxannetomlin3113 I think her comment was well intending. You said no one is deserving of that kind of love for each other, but the Savior loved us that much. I think she loves this person so much, because like she said, he helped bring her to the Savior. I don't think she meant that she worshipped Jeffrey R Holland. That is not what we teach at our church at all. The Savior will always be the ultimate. And yes, loving someone so much and being full of gratitude for someone for improving your life and leading them to the one and only Jesus Christ is okay.

Christ, his church, and his members have a way of humbling even the greatest sinner. It's nice to come unto Christ for a fresh drink of water after a long dry spell. And this is why it is a must to have a prophet and Twelve Apostles in these latter days ! Even Elder Jeffrey R Holland is Led by the Lord Jesus Christ, and is a witness to the world for the Lord and the church Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has spent many many years representing Jesus Christ and he will spend many more years representing Christ. Even all of the talks I have heard from Jeffrey R Holland has brought me closer to my Lord Jesus Christ. I feel humbled and grateful to be apart of the Lord's Church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! I could never go to another Christian Church. I would feel like, I would be going back to the first grade, instead of a college class. Nothing wrong with the first grade, I would hope that I can at least learn tiny bit more about Jesus Christ. I learned so much more in the first couple hours at church. The spirit of the Lord is so strong every time I go to our church. I I just don't want it to sound like I am putting down other religions, I'm sure they have a person that would represent the Lords teaching. Bad thing is, all they have is the Bible when there is so many more books about Jesus Christ to learn from.
I love hearing the testimonies of the brethen, they're always quiet uplifting and encouraging.
The Savior understands you and me! He loves you and me and the world so very much that God the Father, sent His only begotten Son to save us from sins destruction.
You can feel the power of his words. He knows through personal experience that the Atonement does work. Our Savoir did not just suffer and die for all mankind, He suffered and died for me personally. For you. Political borders mean nothing. Everyone is under his watchful care.
Only the Savior will see us through.
We are too young spirits to understand the perfection that is in Christ. We just know that He Is.

Hey I know that nobody or very few people will see this but I have a huge testimony that this is true. I wasn’t a very respectful kid and I was apart of the church but I wasn’t following everything I had been asked to do. I got in an accident I was in a coma for a month and the hospital for two months k have some symptoms still but I’m so much closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and it was definitely don’t to help me come closer to the gospel. And truly I am and I know that what is said in this video is true to an extent that is difficult to fully understand without experiencing it or truly studying it. I hope you guys have a great day. And I hope you feel the spirit the week

Find it within you to do better and work on it because you know it will only grow within you to become something greater because of the Savior. Sweet Jeffrey Holland. I love his integrity of always wanting to understand everyone and put into words (very difficult) of the greatness of our Savior. How can anyone put that into words? I have a very strong conviction of my Savior because of trials. I believe in redemption whole heartedly. I cannot find words either to express so much love in my heart for The Savior. Brother Holland did very nicely.

Looking back i can see when i felt so horrible how God was trying to help me feel better in eny way He could. And i learned a lot from getting better from that experiance. God is alwase helping you and loving you, and helping you be happy. And sometimes He helps you be happy by givving you rouph experiances.

I always come and watch this video when I’m at my low points. I got baptized a little over a year ago, and I’ve been struggling lately in my testimony/spirituality. But I find that whenever I come and watch this video, it helps me so much. I’m so grateful for the church and for Elder Holland and his testimony of the Savior.
None of us are strong by ourselves, no matter how long we've been members. We all need Jesus Christ, and we all need help and reminders. When I was baptized, my stake president promised me my testimony would grow if I would keep a scripture study journal, and bear my testimony often. He was right.
Elder Holland always has been an inspiration for me.
