2001s were not part of Civil Defense since they are single tone still nice to see what one would look like during that era
youre partially correct, single tone sirens were used in the civil defense era, not just dual tone ones, civil defense was abolished sometime in 1979, the first 2001 was made a little after civil defense was abolished
@@epenos2154 Civil Defense didn't exist when 1994 came around. The first batch of 2001 sirens were produced in 1989. This is formally from Noblesville IL and is one of the 1989 Units.
@@EastDetroitMusic-Sirens3000A what? Civil Defense has been a thing since the 1920’s…??
Wow! That thing is sick! I have never seen a Federal Signal Siren like this! I mean I have seen roundback SRN's but never any like this! Excellent find! 1,000,000/10 👏🏻
I love this siren! It reminds me of the “bumble bolt”
The 2001-SRN Roundback looks and sounds amazing! Love the yellow color and the black FS logo!
red, green, white NOW THERES A YELLOW ONE?
someone bumblebolted a 2001...
That looks like beauty! I love how it’s yellow like a Thunderbolt.😊
My eyes: Oh cool, a yellow 2001 roundback.
My brain: IMPOSSIBRU!
Is there one where it does a slow wail?
Finally someone gets a good recording of this thing
Awesome
Hello, I would like to use this in a video to go with my electronic music. May I use it if I give you credit in the text?
The rounded housing makes it look more sleek and streamlined than the ones with the square housings and the yellow color makes it look like a siren from their heyday.
1:42 nice drone
When someone who paints sirens get mixed up:
This model is made in 1988
It looks like a fedral signal 500 shtt
i want to go to Michigan now
Wow that looks amazing I'll have to see it soon
Brand new
CD PAINT
now THIS is the successor to the thunderbolt! But why are they just single tone? That's so boring!
that looks beautiful, i dont live there in the US i live in australia and its rare to see the round backs
I thought it was a 2001 DC Roundback not SRN🤨🤨🤨
2001-DC is essentially just a nickname. If you look at the tags, it will say 2001 SRN
reminds me of 500 SHT and SHTT's
u might wanna go to there fire station here because they have a new refurbished thunderbolt 1000T i think it might just be a 1000
Been to that thunderbolt quite a few times already. Its a 1000T. It was more recently given a new paintjob, the thunderbolt itself has been there since 1981
Sen siren
38
I thought only 2001 dc had round back
The name "2001 DC" is a misnomer. All 2001s with a belt driven rotator are SRNs.
2001-DC isn't the true model, the real model is 2001 SRN. 2001-DC is just a nickname
Is it a FS or an ACA
@@sirensofsoutheastmichigan why does it have the ACA logo on the motor box.
EDIT* it means civil defense
Very nice
Gotta say I love roundback’s
For sure! They’re definitely one of my favorite 2001s out there
Looks nice in CD Yellow, but still doesnt compare to a Thunderbolt 😔. It saw the drone, and scared the daylights outta it🤣🤣🤣🤣🤔👍👍👍👍😲😱❗
This siren looks epic! (and somewhat wack due to the FS logo is black instead of red so I'm not used to it) Lovely capture, keep up the good work!
Thank you! Yeah, that logo is definitely something, honestly think it compliments the look in my opinion!
